Things I love:- The low profile of the camera, especially compared to the super bulky GoPros and similar.- The simplicity of the operating mechanism (pulling the lens tube forward is how to turn it on), which makes it incredibly easy to use with gloves. No complicated interfaces with a million buttons is a refreshing take on this type of product.- Video quality is way more than good enough for use as an insurance camera.- Natively waterproof without added cases.- Super fast charge (only needs about an hour from empty to full).- The Loop functionality which overwrites your oldest clips when approaching full storage capacity is absolutely fantastic, and ensures you never have to do any storage management of any kind,and also avoids having to faff around with any "save the last x-minutes" buttons that some dashcams employ, and that you will almost be guaranteed to forget if actually in an accident.Things I was disappointed in:- The biggest blemish for me: there is no way the battery lasts for 2 hours. I'm lucky to get 90 min at the lowest possible video quality settings, and was barely getting an hour at 60fps.- The app, whilst actually a pretty decent user experience when it works, is an absolute pain to get up and running.- I'm really not in love with the mounting system; I feel like it's only a matter of time before I snap something off as it forces you to pry the camera out of the holder, rather than a clicking mechanism like a lot of other helmet-mounted devices.Overall, I think the price is fair for what you get. This can be a great insurance camera choice for those with sub 1-hour commutes who are able to charge it up whilst at work.

Love this camera, use it for my motorbike weather permitting my little joke. This camera is the best iv'e bought you get all the attachments and fitting tools to set the camera up. The picture quality is spot on in my opinion, I have no problem with this item, what so ever. Built in battery gives a good 2 hours of recording, although I have not tried it to the limit. I have had this camera for the last two years and it's still going strong. To calculate the use of the camera I would say a years use at least. The price is to me a little dear, but the quality is worth it. One thing you have to do is download the app for the prism camera this is all included in the box how to do it, and fairly easy to do.It is waterproof to a certain degree but not fully as this is explained in the booklet. You can have an ear piece added if you wish, which is included in the package. I have not used this yet but will soon. Using the camera just on it's own is ok, when you view your videos from your travels the sound can be loud on playback as the ear piece has not been attached.

I got this on the strength of Mat from Techmoan's review of a previous version. There are many reviews online (other than on Amazon), and they are very very polarised. I have the strong suspicion that many of the people who have given this a bad review just haven't read the manual. You're meant to prepare the memory card by pressing the format button for a FULL 10 SECONDS until the correct LED colours show. You're meant to use it with the Sena CAMERA phone app, NOT the Sena PRISM app- a significant omission the short, clear manual which is good except for this missing piece of information. This item is not 100% "plug-and-play", but the setup is still reasonably quick and simple.I've included a video of me adjusting the camera using the phone app, note the lag between movement and the phone display. I've used the screw clamp instead of the glued base; the helmet is visible in the edge of the shot without obscuring the field of view. (Added Feb 2019- seems to connect to phone better if you get Wi-Fi connected before you launch the app)

I also have the previous model (PT10-1) and the only thing I didn't really like was the shortish 2.5 hour battery life. This new one allows me to plug an external power pack, so in effect a huge battery life is now available. I updated mine to latest firmware, set record to loop (64G card) and now it can run all day.With a little DIY work I have made a waterproof USB cable that screws into the base, and into the powerpack.WiFi works well (default password is 1234567890).
