My Kitvision Escaper HD5W arrived just in time for the weekend, as you would expect from a Kitvision/Kitsound product, the design is sleek and packaged really nicely. Priced at around £100.00 this is great value for money and it certainly doesn't feel cheap (about a third of the price of some competitors). In fact it's the complete opposite, the casing is well made and easy to detach from the camera and it comes with a number of useful attachments. I loved the button layout and the simplicity of the user interface, the five minute user guide was really helpful and had me up and running within no time. NOTE: the device doesn't come fully charged. I was eager to get out straight away with it,

I brought the Kitvision Escape HD5 to use primarily as a dash cam, and it did pretty well!As a camera the video quality is really high but the audio is very quiet, I guess that's to be expected as the camera is housed inside a waterproof case. The buttons are very clear and easy to use, and the manual provided explains the cameras various modes in good detail.You get a wide range of accessories to use, from sticky mounts to handle clamps. In my case I used a sticky mount to secure the camera to the windscreen, which held up well until I drove on hot sunny days where the glue became unstuck, luckily you get a couple.I used a Verbatim 44010 16GB microSDHC Class 10 Memory card with the camera.

I love my Kitvision Escape HD5W and have had great customer service regarding it too!The Camer itself looks great and comes with some useful accessories.The quality of the pictures and videos you are able to take are A lot better than I had expected and I am pleased with the shots I have managed to get!The waterProof casing of the camera I noticed was smart and looked good however it did crack when Being used A lot. However, it still kept the water out and I was glad it did for the remained of my holiday!I contacted the Kitvision company via their website asking where i could purchase a new case as I didn't want to risk it for too much longer and plan on using the camera a lot more and i was

The HD5, of which I have two, provides adequate footage quality. A 32GB micro SD card allows for approximately five hours of recording (at 1280x720HD). As can be seen in my photographs, I pin-drilled three holes in the outer casing, which allows for sound-capture, or else the sound is incredibly poor. This has not compromised the waterproofing. The accessories and fixtures are plentiful and allow for diverse mounting options, and the 3M fixtures are robust (my first having survived two winters). The viewing screen on the back of the camera is useful and of a good quality. The case and camera are also robust, having survived one nasty road accident without incurring damage. For so little money, the camera produced punchy pictures and HD movies.The images show barrel distortion that is presumably the function of such a wide angle lens.My only problem with this camera is that being unable to wear my spectacles in a snorkel mask, I could not read the LCD display to set the functions. I had to rely on knowing that the second function was the stills that I wanted. That is fine until the camera powers down and I lose track of what is set. Thus sometimes each press of the shutter starts or stops a movie instead of taking a picture, resulting in very random movies. I found I could not see anything on the screen in bright sunlight.For a special holiday camera it is great

The price this little device is an absolute bargain. It may not have the slow motion functionality of a go pro but if you want an out the box device that capture every moment then this is perfect. The wireless application is good for remote recording and framing and there's enough accessories bundled with it to get you started action recording in several different situations The battery is also replaceable so you can have a couple to swap out if the 90recording time is not enough for the budding filmographer, You will need to buy a memory card separately but they are really cheap and 32gb which is the max capacity for the device it more than enough for .mov and jpeg files

I bought this with the understanding that it would not be greatly used - skiing (once per year) and swimming in the sea (holidays) on the understanding that it is far cheaper than a well known competitor. I have also tried it climbing Mt Snowden in heavy rain and adverse conditions and really impressed with the ease of use and quality of images. OK you dont get full sound as the camera is in its water tight container. For my limited use (so far) it has been excellent. Also bought accessories that will fit on mountain bike and extension handle for "selfies" and water proof 9floating)handle for use in the sea.

This camera lasts for around an hour or 2 whilst recording. For the price, this is a bargain. It weighs 58grams and I've attached it to my drone. The sound is good, muffled when in waterproof case(of course it would though.) It uses the same attachments as a GoPro. The waterproof casing works amazingly. On the water proof casing, where the lens are, there's a very thin cover. Try and peel that off because if you get a scratch like I did, it turned out to be the thin cover itself, not the case. Only downside is that it looks like a GoPro and everyone stares at you.

Way cheaper than a Go-Pro but almost matches the quality. Took it on holiday SCUBA diving in Malta and it handled 30metres no problem. Took over an hour of various videos and probably 60 stills and there was battery life remaining. Only issue was very slight fogging up on exiting the water into the blistering heat, but even the top end GoPros do that. The only minor downside of it is there is no wrist lanyard supplied. Plenty of other attachment options, but a simple cord lanyard would be very useful. Highly recommended!

Wow what a bargain , this is an excellent piece of kit. Being an economical version of a go pro this has exceeded all of my expectations. Easy to use and set up. The quality of the camera with all the accessories is far beyond what I thought it would be. Clear and crisp playback, good light levels . Would highly recommend this product , as it is not only very good but compared to the go pro and its price and all the accessories that come with it you cannot go wrong.

Purchased as a birthday gift for my son. He was looking at a Go Pro but this is a great (and cheaper) alternative as my boys have a habit of buying gadgets using them for a few weeks and then leave them to gather dust!Accessories pack is good too (though he has purchased a memory card and a universal body mount strap that's compatible).Does what is says on the tin and looking forward to taking it on the water slides on holiday this year.

Got to say I researched budget camera's for ages as I didn't want to spend a fortune on a go pro and to say I'm impressed with this is an understatement, I use it with an additional chest harness I purchased on my mountain bike and the quality is fantastic great portable size too really is a great little camera.Only small problem the battery seems to only last about an hour but I've only charged it once so hopefully will get better.

I got this to record my self and my band playing. I have used it to film my outting at go ape adventure too. All of the video i captured is of good quality and the sound is as you would expect being in the plastic case. But has never let me down. I used it tomake a promo film for my sisters dog walking business by watching what is happening through my phone with the wifi option.

Good, solidly made action cam which will do most of what most people want to do, without spending 4 or 5 times as much on one of the big ticket market leaders. Both the stills and video footage are really good quality. (REMEMBER TO REMOVE THE PROTECTIVE FILM FROM BOTH THE LENS AND THE LENS COVER ON THE WATERPROOF HOUSING - otherwise your pics aren't so good ! )

Got this little camera for my 10 year old for christmas for him to use to film his 'stunts' on his swegway/pogostick/underwater swimming does the job perfectly for what he needs. He can easily connect it to his laptop to view the footage. I dont have to worry if he bashes it about as it's sturdy and the price is excellant for what you get with it.
