This is my first Dead Island game. The first three games were far too horror orientated for my liking so when I saw this spinoff with Comic Book style graphics I instantly had to preorder from another gaming website.This game despite being critically panned is actually really fun to play. The combat is very easy. You can shoot using firearms or attack wielding weapons like axes or samurais. There is a lot of blood in this game but because of the cartoon style graphics it's very tolerable and not taken seriously. The whole game is gorgeous with tropical setting, bright colours and very varied textures and backgrounds.This game is easy to complete. It takes around 15 hours to 100 percent complete it.

Someone just asked me if you need to play the otger two to play this game. No. This one is actually a different type of game play to the others. It's a bit more fast pace, but the comic strip graphics are insane (if you like a bit of a creative storyline). The first two are still better you do not get anywhere near as many weapons or weapon upgrades on this game, and once you kill one of each zombie you know how to take them down. Much more simplified version of the original two, is more of an arcade game of Dead Island is the only way I can explain it. If your into zombie games such as Dead Rising, Left 4 Dead this game will be up your street. If your into the Resident Evil, Evil Within kinda stealth games,

Please don't pay too much attention to the negative reviews for this game. Yes it isn't Dead Island as we all know it but overall it is a pleasant game to play. Cartoon graphics in games have never been my thing but I honestly don't mind playing this game for a few hours. For the price, you really cant moan. Overall, I'm enjoying the game and would recommend it to friends who want something to pass the time.

Its different from the other parts, sure, but I enjoyed playing it. You have to get used to it at first but once you get used to the Comic style its fun.
