A recent trip abroad to one of the lakes initially prompted the purchase of the Crosstour action camera given that we knew there would be plenty of water where we were heading. This functional, compact, versatile little action camera simply has everything you need for all your holiday photos and videos. So, first of all get the manual out the box and have a decent read, it's so worthwhile because this brilliant little camera has such great functionality that it’s really is worth spending 30 minutes ensuring you know how to use it to the fullest capability. The main crux of the contents of the box is the camera itself, two re-chargeable batteries (it’s so helpful having two batteries!),the waterproof case, manual and all of the framework that enables you to use the camera for action or plain normal shots. The camera itself can be used to take photos, videos but you’re also able to use it as a dashcam in your car which really is an excellent feature. The product doesn’t come with a Micro SD card, so I went out and got a 32gb card for less than ten pounds, slotted it straight in with no fuss, the camera formatted it straight away. Download the iSmart DV App and connect the camera to your smart phone and then you can control the phone with the great app direct from your phone. This gives you the capability for one of you to hold the product whilst the other controls what’s being recorded using a smart phone or you can simply control everything from the camera itself. We also used the camera in the water once we’d secured it in its waterproof casing, it worked brilliantly. For the price I paid this little action camera is such great value for money, I’m so happy with it. PS The video was taken with my first attempt using the camera, i hadn't at that point set the date or time on the device!

I got this to take on a dive holiday and did not want to take my big underwater camera on every dive. There is an increased risk to kit on a dive (get flooded, lost, damaged, etc), so I was no too keen to get anything too expensive, just in case.Then I saw these on Amazon. A tenth of the price of a Gopro, had some good reviews and can go deeper. Worth a risk I thought.Wow!! very pleased. Definitely did he job. Light, small, easy to use (I typically did not even read the manual),Other divers had Gopros and yes their pictures and video was a bit crisper and sharper but the colours were the same and overall not much difference. Definitely not 10 times better, like the price would suggest.I am not saying Gopros are bad, they are very good in fact, but this comes a close second. One thing I did do is strap it to a light (there are quite a few accessories in the box so you can get a bit creative, or get another accessory if you want). Light makes all the difference underwater, filter lenses work a bit but light is what you need and then this thing really shines. The battery lasts ages if you don't just leave it on all the time but even if you do it will last a decent dive. Only niggle for me was that it is a bit slow to turn on but no big deal as easily worked around.I have started to call it my "Nopro", as it is Not a Gopro and you don't need to be a Professional to use it.Can be used for other things than diving too. If you are going to use it for the same as me though, I definitely think you should give one a go.There is some shake on the video attached but that is me fighting the current, not the camera. You can really see the colours though.

I wasn't sure what to expect, these little cameras seemed very cheap. We had bought full face snorkel masks for our trip to the Red Sea and they had camera mounts with them. We decided to buy these cameras to record our underwater adventures! On opening the (quite large) boxes, we were amazed, there was the camera, two batteries, a spare waterproof back for the IP68 enclosure, complete with new seal. There were so many different mounts, fixtures and adapters, I think we were spoilt for choice as how to mount them!! The cameras themselves are brilliant, a little fiddly to set up, but it would be best to read and understand the manual, unlike me, just plow ahead (i am a bloke, after all).Very slight disappointment that these did not come with SD cards, but I was aware and bought two from Amazon so I was ready! I have downloaded the App onto my iPad and phone, and the WiFi, (which I was sceptical about), set up and worked first time...!!! I could 'see' through the camera link immediately. I have used these randomly about the house and the picture quality is better than I thought it would be. Charging the batteries in the camera is easy, and takes an hour or so each. Cant wait to take these into the Red Sea and capture some 'fishy' videos.

As an outdoor swimmer, I'd been looking for a waterproof camera so I could take photos and videos while in the sea, rivers etc. This is one of the camera that several people recommended on a Facebook outdoor swimming forum I belong to.As I know nothing about cameras, I took a chance and ordered it. I wasn't disappointed.Once set up, and having worked out how to change between modes and settings, this has proved to be a GREAT little camera. It takes good quality photos and videos (in and out of the water), and is small and compact enough not to get in the way when swimming.I comes with various mountings and can be used on bikes and as a car dash cam.I've just bought myself a vintage ladies bicyle and have already fitted the bike mount to it so I can take videos of my next ride.It comes with two batteries (it takes one, so you have a spare) which can be charged via a phone cable while in the camera. I have bought myself a set of two extra batteries and charger, as I intend to use it a lot, and like to have spare batteries.You do need a 32mg micro SD card to record your images, so buy one of these at the same time.I would definately recommend this camera ;0)

This Action Camera is simply amazing. I've wanted one for ages, just hadn't found the right one and didn't want to pay the ridiculous price for a GoPro.The camera was on offer on a lightning deal for a little over £26 when I ordered this, and I'm so glad I got it. I chose this based on previous positive reviews and I certainly don't regret it. The accessory pack alone is worth £26!The quality of the camera image is fantastic. The video is amazing for the price, being 1080p HD with 30fps. I honestly cannot fault this. I've attached it to my bike GPS Mount (it already had a compatible adapter).A SanDisk 32gb card cost a little over £5 and, considering this has 2 batteries with it,it makes it good for 3 hours of recording (a 32 GB card claims to do over 5 hours).Highly recommended.P.s. if anyone is confused, the rear screen door with holes in it is for recording audio. Due to the casing being waterproof, it cannot record audio without the holes in. If using underwater or in a very wet situation, stuck the solid door back on.

I wasn't expecting the quality of this camera to be that great to be honest....mediocre at best, but I was really surprised...it's amazing! The picture and video quality is so crisp and clear, and the colours are so vivid and true to life! The camera itself, is very well made and sturdy....I know....I have already accidentally dropped it once....oops!I'm going on holiday in a few days, so I haven't had a chance to use it for it's main purpose yet...underwater snorkeling, but I have played around with it, taking a few pics and videos of random stuff around the house, and outside. I've included a few of these pics to show great these images are, and how vibrant the colours are too The only liquid I have managed to capture yet,is that of my pink gin...just getting in the mood for my holiday! hahaOne of my friends has the Go-pro, and as far as I can see from pics and videos she has shown me, this little beauty is just as good, and has more or less the same features too. Think I got a bargain here! Highly recommended!

I have the previous version of this camera, so when I saw there was an updated version, I couldn't resist getting it.Physically, it's about the same size, but the edges have been covered in a rubbery type material making it easier to grip when it's not in its waterproof case. The on/off button has moved and is square now rather than round, but it's no issue.As usual with Crosstour you get a myriad of fittings and accessories - too many to list, but it means you can fit the camera to just about anything. I fitted mine to my 125cc (short video attached) and took it out for a short ride. The quality is great for a reasonably priced action-camera and the operation is simple,even on the move!I've not had this one for long, but so far I am impressed with the little tweaks they have made and am glad I got it. I'll add more when I've had a chance to test it further, but my initial thoughts are basically, if you are looking for a value for money action camera, this is definitely *the* one to go for.

So far , so good. Well packaged item and good to see most packaging is recyclable. Got the camera up and running in a short space of time and navigated through the instruction book. Had a mess about with the video and it produces a decent quality picture, will be more than enough for the usage it will get as I needed this primarily for underwater filming on a forthcoming trip. Camera unit itself feels lightweight which i guess is a good thing given the potential 'action' use it could be put to, if I was to mention one negative its the lens can easily be contaminated given its protrusion from the casing, good job tat Crosstour include a lens cloth in the accessory kit. And on that subject,the mounts, straps, cables, sticker pads etc which it comes with required a watch of the YouTube video...got it now! shame a battery charger doesn't come as standard. In summary, appears to be a very handy camera and I look forward to getting some use out of it.

Using this on my bike, there is some noise from the camera rattling in the waterproof case, but otherwise I was surprised how good the quality is, comparing it to videos I've seen on Youtube and elsewhere.The battery lasted just over an hour but I think it can be longer if you select lower resolution and there are two batteries supplied. I bought a separate charger as I had read that charging in the phone was slow - it is when I plug into my laptop.You also need a micro SD card, not supplied. Mine cost under £10.Lots of accessories to attach the camera anywhere, although one has broken already. That said, it still works.I would give it five stars for value,assuming it lasts for a while.Note that it defaults to dashcam mode - not easy to see the menu in bright sunshine - but it saves every 3 minute segment, rather than overwriting them as some dashcams do. So I had 20 mini videos of my one hour ride :-)

This is the second Crosstour I have purchased. I already have the CT8500 model which is slightly more expensive, however this CT7000 is great value at just over £30 and does everything the more expensive unit will without the time-lapse function. Bearing in mind that the GoPros cost in excess of £250 for some units, this little camera is a gem and so much fun for the money I can recommend it to anyone. The camera also comes with a host of accessories at no extra cost, these can easily cost you more than the camera itself when bought separately. The picture quality is excellent on the video side and also includes a slo-mo facility. The 12mp stills are not as good but are easily fixed with a slight tweak in any image software,and was not my main reason for buying the camera. Well worth the investment if you don't want to break the bank and have a lot of fun.

Great little action camera for the price! Comes with a huge assortment of accessories to allow for attaching to your bike, helmet, car or almost anywhere else. If you do decide you need a headstrap or cheststrap, they're all available cheaply and seem to be a universal fit. I bought this to document my son bimbling around the local trails so I mainly use the included helmet mount. It does a great job and as you'll see in the video, the waterproof housing keeps out heavy rain, so I'm sure it would be fine underwater too! Battery life is very good - it comes with two batteries but even in constant use in cold weather, I can get an hour out of each one.The picture quality is fine and the image stabiliser works well.All in all, it's an amazing amount of camera for not very much money. Well impressed.

I purchased this camera for Scuba Diving, and I have found the performance is exceptional, I have filmed at up to 32 meters depth in the sea so far, with no leaks or issues. (The attached video is from a dive trip to Tenerife in November 2019 and shows a very graceful Bull Ray.) The other great feature is the wireless capability and the App, you can easily view and upload the videos from camera without breaking the seal in between dives. I would suggest as with all underwater scuba cameras / torches you pay particular attention to cleaning the camera case seal every time you open / close the camera and before diving, make sure there is not dust or hairs on the seal,and use a thin layer wipe of silicon lubricant or Vaseline. Superb value for money with results comparable to more expensive brands.

An outstanding bargain at the moment for £25 Amazon deal. For the money the picture and video are outstanding and it comes with loads of accessories for mounting camera onto helmets, body etc.A waterproof housing is a great camera protector for snorkelling, sports, sandy beaches or inclement weather filming.The camera also comes with a spare battery and charging lead. Delivery was next day and comes in a very well designed shipping box.Do remember you will need to add a micro SD card to your shopping list and this camera has no image stabilisation.I was offered this camera for free for this review but quite honestly it wasn’t necessary for a 5 star review as there is so little to dislike withthis diminutive package that it shouldn’t earn a five stars recommendation.

Got this action camera very fast after ordering despite coming via standard delivery.Comes well packed with more accessories than I'll ever need!!Camera is light and compact with the battery inserted (and 2 batteries included..bonus!).I am using the bicycle fittings initially and they work very well. Sturdy tight mounting bracket and ready to go very quickly.Photo and camera quality is perfect for me and will be using this all the time. Will also take on holiday as this has a lot of potential in a lot of situations. My iMac read the sd card (not supplied) with no issues at all and time/date set up is fast and,looks great on the screen.I would recommend this as,it's a very reasonably priced camera and after a charge of the battery..you'll be recording away.10/10

I thought I'd misread the price ... Surely this should be far more expensive .. or completely rubbish ... But I took the plunge .. nothing to lose ... And I'm so glad I did!This great little camera comes with just about every way of connecting it to any just about anything!!If you're into biking, skiing, diving , running or any sport then look no further .. also a handy Dashcam in a hire car if you don't have one!!Simple to use in or out of the case, with great picture quality as well as decent video footage too.I'm still flabbergasted that it costs so little and performs do well!Buy this with confidence that you're getting certainly more than you're paying for!I can't wait to use this on myholiday!
