I was not expecting this device to be so small but it doesn't bother me. But do make sure you attach this to a key chain or the like because this device will definitely be prone to being lost or misplaced.I'm not one to gripe about speeds. These days you hardly ever find a drive that has the speed that the item depicts so why bother complaining about it? Besides it all depends on the quality of your particular drive, the device onto which you're transferring data, the USB port, etc. And this drive seems to do just fine. Do I wish it was faster? Sure. Do I wish all drives were faster? Of course. As long as the drive isn't slower than molasses in winter, I couldn't care less. Anyway, for the most part,USB drives have decent enough speeds and 99% of the time you get what you pay for (in a good way).I see complaints about the USB being scratched when entering and exiting the USB ports. USBs and USB ports have been around for 15 years, so this should be common sense by now. I don't understand how everyone isn't aware that when you're plugging and unplugging a USB in and out of a port, you're scraping metal against metal. What do you expect? Literally, all of my USB flash drives and USB charging cables have those specific line scratches. Even if a particular port is loose, scratches are inevitable because people plug their USBs into other ports and some ports or USBs will have a tighter fit. Unless you're a USB flash drive collector, oddly, don't worry about the aesthetics of the drive. Plus, you can always get the white version if it bugs you as white hides scratches easier.Overall, superb drive and no complaints. Worth the money.

Unfortunately my previous USB was obliterated after tripping over my laptop charging leed and it falling on the USB stick while in the port so I looked around for a well priced, small and robust USB which could handle high transfer speeds, something which was a high priority for me when looking for a large capacity drive. I ended up buying the 128GB model of this USB stick and was very happy with what I got, It looks very stylish and feels weighty which gives a very quality and sturdy feel when combined with the metal unibody. The performance was pretty good too, I measured 330MB/s read and a slightly dissapointing 66MB/s write however the random reads and writes were very good compared to all my previous drives, averaging about 3MB/s. It only gets slightly warm during long transfers which is a big improvement from my last one which had the potential to cause burns. It goes well on a keyring however only really works one way, if you flip it round so that the flat side is closest to the keys then it sticks out a good 90 degrees and refuses to go round any further. All in all, a great product and I would definitely reccomend it for the price.

Straight to the point. Actual usable size is 119GB. As per the nonsense that companies seem to be doing, 1GB is actually 1024MB in real life, but they calculate everything as 1000MB. So it is NOT truly 128GB. It is on their math for sales purposes, but not in real life actual space. Which is nonsense, and all companies should stop selling products based on incorrect data.It WRITES around 64MB/s, depending on the size of the files you are transferring onto it. A statistic often missed from reviews, and from the advert. The READ speed on my tests have been faster than advertised. It says "up to 300MB/s", but with Blackmagic Speed Test, I've been getting over 300MB/s. In fact,I got over 377MB/s in tests. In basic tech terms, this means it can write 1080p video at 60fps in realtime without a problem (see images). If you're looking to write 2k or higher video in realtime, this isn't the USB device for you. Those figures are from testing software reading and writing 1GB of data in 1MB files, or chunks, back and forth. Obviously file sizes vary, and backup methods differ. I will edit this review in later weeks if there are any problems.

The drive looks sleek and physically strong although I would always handle it carefully. I find it does not plug in easily to my USB 3.0 port and I have to get the angle just right and apply quite a bit of pressure. I do not have this problem with other USB devices. Although a tight fit, it does not seem to show any scratch marks after removal and fortunately its shape makes it easy to grip when removing. The fact its body is entirely metal has made me wonder how well it is protected from possible electrostatic damage - would it be safer or worse than a plastic bodied drive? I found it writes data at about 1GB / minute on my USB 3.0 connection. It may be quicker when reading data but I haven't checked so far.I should just like to add that the speed of 1GB / minute was deduced from a backup I made using 12 GB of files from the "My Documents" folder which took 12 minutes to copy to this Flash Drive using Microsoft's SyncToy 2.1 backup utility on a Windows 7 PC. The folder contained many sub-folders with many files and the write speed may be a lot faster with a single large file measured using a speed checking utility.

Purchased 2 of these little beauties for my laptop. One is permanently plugged into the laptop and runs Manjaro Linux 18.02 (KDE). Very discreet....only sticks out about 1cm from laptop. As regards speed in real world scenario (as opposed to Benchmark scenario), this little flash drive is much faster than any mechanical hard drive, and only a bit slower than SSD in my experience. I use "Clonezilla" to clone (make a perfect copy) of original Samsung Flash drive. The whole process takes about 28 minutes from start to finish and that is to copy 108 GB of data. That is a sustained transfer rate of 70MB per second continuously for almost half an hour...astonishing!Please bear in mind that operating systems like Linux are comprised of hundreds of thousands of small files, and flash drives are much slower at copying these sorts of files (or large numbers of small jpegs for that matter) than say a small number of large media files. It also runs relatively cool. Even after 30 minutes of copying files, it is warm, but still cool enough to touch. All in all another great Samsung product at a great price. Highly recommended.

Great looking little drive which is fast enough and, so far, reliable. It's the perfect USB 3.0 flash drive for expanding the capabilities on the Playstation Classic as no physical power mod is needed when using it (most USB 3.0 sticks require more power than the PS Classic can supply from its standard USB port). Saying that, whilst this USB 3.0 thumb drive works with the PS Classic for running BleemSync 1.1.0, the initial setup and eBoot flash procedure does require a less-power-intensive USB 2.0 stick. But once the PS Classic is flashed successfully with the new firmware the data on the USB 2.0 stick can simply be copied to the Samsung UBS 3.0 drive which works perfectly from that moment on,which results in faster loading times etc. A very neat and capable little USB 3.0 drive. It's not the fastest USB 'thumb drive' and generally reaches speeds between 20MB/s and 40MB/s (tested on Mac and PC whilst formatted as FAT32) but it's more than fast enough for the Playstation Classic and, in my experience, is still quick for such a small USB stick.

Samsung Bar 32GB USB 3.0 (2.0 compatible). Very small. Nice look and feel metal surface. Feels very Durable / Robust. Allegedly water proof and meant to survive washing machine in a clothes pocket etc. - not tested that ...... Feature in end to attach to key ring or chain, string etc.... The stick works fine in my USB 3.0 SS port, or USB 2.0 port on my Dell Laptop. Also works on the USB 2.0 of an older HP Envy from 2014.... Works fine over first few weeks so far. Slightly faster write rate than Kingston Traveler 32GB USB 3.0 on my laptop.(-) I bought a charcoal Titan one and a Champagne Silver one. The Titan one fits all USB ports ok, & is quite a tight fit. The Champagne Silver one is a very very tight fit, making it difficult to fit to at least one of the ports on the two Laptops I have. Looking at the ends I can see that the metal is thicker at the interface end on the Silver one for some reason, explaining the tighter fit. I've made the silver one as a recovery drive/stick for this reason and use the grey Titan one for more daily use.

It's tiny; less than small. Sideways very good fit to other USB ports. But it cannot be stacked due to pyramid design. My desktop PC USB ports are in close up-down direction and it would not be possible to have two of these in simultaneously.Poor usablity. The pyramid design is like teflon. On a slim laptop, to grab it from sides (other cables/devices cause gripping it at upper-of-the-pyramid)... fingers slide off it easily and you have difficulties to pinch it hard enough to draw it out from the port. Not really field tested in this respect. A standard rectangle and keyring-style ending would have worked MUCH better; like the one used by Kingston[1]The dark grey will develop scratch marksfrom the USB port over time.Tests are for the 256 GB version (please consider +/-10% due to fluctuating test runs):Pic 1 - USB 3.0. Benchmark on exFAT empty drive.Pic 2 - USB 2.0. Benchmark on exFAT empty drive.[1] Kingston DTSE9G2/128GB Data Traveler SE9 G2https://www.amazon.co.uk/Kingston-DTSE9G2-128GB-Traveler-Windows/dp/B00U88FV0S/

No problem at all when used as an OTG external memory together with smartphone (OnePlus 6 in my case). Whole 256 GB is visible and accessible on the phone (see attached screenshot). The one thing needed is an USB A female - USB C male adapter of course (see attached photos).Regarding read / write speed, there are already many detailed reviews about it. I will just summarise... there is nothing to complain about.Design is a personal taste. My approach is a bit pragmatic. At the beginning I was not pleased with the bottom part which sticks out from the flat shape but afterwords I found it useful - thanks to this it is quite easy to locate this pendrive is a laptop bag or any other type of bag.Onedisadvantage of such big capacity is the fact that it is not supported by many a bit older devices, e.g. my almost 10 years old but still fully functional Samsung SmartTV does not read it. It recognise there is an pendrive in the USB slot but can not handle large file systems (I guess exFAT in this case) and shows pendrive size 0.

Some USBs you buy are absolutely rubbish, but this ones really good. It’s made of strong metal and the speed read and writes even on usb 2.0 are awesome.I bought this mainly for my HD holiday videos to go on from a Panasonic HDC-SD40 video recorder. As that device uses AVC HD 1080i and they take a whole lot of space but the quality is brilliant. This memory stick played those files fine and is easily formatted on windows 10 correctly, it uses a format system called ExFat. Basically that is for files larger than 4GB each as Fat32 can only handle 4GB or less.If your buying this stick do take in mind that all PCs will run it but if your like me to run your videos and photos on say a DVD/Blu-ray player make sure it supports ExFat as most just support Fat32.Eg. Playstation 4 support ExFat and most new DVD/Blu-ray players do also.

I wanted a new USB stick to use to store movies HD and UHD (4k) to play on my new TV, a 65 inch LG oled.I searched and browsed for available sticks to get one with the highest affordable storage capacity. Never in my wildest dreams did I believe that I would find one like this. 256GB. Enough for the purpose. Cheaper than others when you put some effort into searching and browsing and not only that, but wait for it, it not only looks sexy but it feels sexy. You can stick the stick straight into the back of the TV socket but I like to have it stuck into a M-F USB cable so I can easily remove it to add new movies. It is a long time since I bought something that thrilled me from all points of view.If you are looking for a stick 256GBish, then run, don't walk to buy this one. Caress it before you use it. It is caressable.

I was a bit wary of buying this due to the mixed reviews. But so far, it seems to be working pretty well. Occasionally, it disconnects itself automatically, although it hasn't happened when I've been actually using it (I install and run games on it). As far as I can tell, the auto disconnect seems to happen when my WiFi adaptor is acting up, but that may just be coincidence. But overall, I'm pretty happy with the size and speed of this USB stick, and I love that it fits so snugly with my laptop, making it entirely portable. It's also doubled my storage capacity and I've been able to free up a lot of space by moving non-essential stuff over to the USB.So I'd say it's a good solution for those looking for the extra storage capacity without having to carry a bulky external hard drive.
