Conclusions: a round work from the French house Salomon, a shoe that provides good cushioning without being soft and heavy, with a high level of protection for the final weight of the shoe and that provides a level of precision and control of the tread more how remarkable. It has one of the best soles of Salomon that from what I have been able to verify and coming from sneakers with a continental sole, it works very well in more than difficult terrain even in the wet. Improvable aspects: they are somewhat closed from the upper and for summer they can be hot. for asking that it not be and I would give them a tad more of an answer even if the sense pro 4 are already there. They weigh a little more than 310g in size 43 2/3, so the web page is not correct. I have gone out to run a couple of times with my new salomon sense ride 3, a shoe that according to the French house is designed for training and medium-long distance but without looking for the time, although we will see that for more than one it could be Running shoes since they are easy and above all very comfortable shoes, and despite this they remain at a fairly light weight. For this evolution of the Sense Ride 2, Salomon has chosen to make a slightly more closed upper, with a little more protection against rocks and more resistant with a new mesh that with its typical quicklace binding system, provides a very firm hold at the same time very very comfortable, the sensation as soon as you put them on is that they adapt perfectly to the foot and that to devour kilometers is a joy. the tongue is sewn to the sole, this gives us the feeling of wearing a sock with studs. Being a little more closed these sense ride 3 will surely be hotter than the previous version and it will also cost them more to dry in case water enters. As we say, they are sneakers intended rather for training and therefore have good cushioning, the midsole optivibe system, absorbs vibrations to reduce long-term injuries according to Salomon, the running sensations are very good, noting everything moment the damping pulling soft but with great stability and good terrain information, a great job from the French house. These shoes have an ortholite insole, which apart from not deforming is water-repellent and anti-bacteria with which we will always keep our feet well cradled. Between the midsole and the sole we find a plastic base called the propheel film to protect us from sharp rocks, and I can say that it works wonderfully, I have not noticed a stab in the feet and that I was looking for them. This plate, in addition to protecting the sole of the foot, provides a bit of reactivity in the outlet, which makes them faster than it may initially seem, all without losing flexibility. The sole on its side is made with the contagrip compound, the most adherent of the brand, and it really works like a charm on all types of surfaces, including polished and wet rocks. the sole is well spaced and has a prominence of about 4mm, this makes it a very versatile shoe since it can defend quite well on oily terrain such as wet grass and mud, such as on tracks or more decomposed areas of loose stone or sand. I have put them to the test for several of these terrains and the results have been excellent in all of them although with a lot of mud they collapse but they are not designed for it. the shoe's shape, which is somewhat narrower at the heel and rather wide at the front of the toes, provides a good compromise between support and comfort, without being a bulky shoe so as not to lose precision in the most technical areas. I can say that I have put her in trouble in difficult areas and I have not lacked precision. its drop of 8mm and the beveled shape of the heel to facilitate reception, makes it an easy shoe for all audiences, from starting on the trail and looking for a comfortable shoe for everything, like the experienced runner looking for a comfortable shoe for long but demanding workouts. As it is not a flying shoe, this salomon sense ride 3 has a weight of 310g real in size 43 2/3, it is not the 280g advertised on the web but I think it is a weight more than adjusted for cushioning and protection it offers. That is why I say that although it is not a running shoe to go full throttle for the clock, it is more than valid for a medium distance if you are a middleweight runner or even a marathon for somewhat lighter runners they can work more than well.

have been using salomons sense ride 2 shoe for about 4 months now and absolutely loved them for most types of terrains. after reading a lot of reviews i decided to chance the ride 3s knowing it was going to be a different shoe completely. i was actually surprised by how good the upgrade felt. the fit is perfect for my foot even more comfortable than the 2. the uppers seem a lot more stronger with different material. the midsole is a lot stiffer but once your on the trail it still feels like a fast shoe. the grip was fine on wet mud going up and downhill. i have no problems with the quick laces either. once you learn to use salomons system it makes regular laces seem cumbersome.overall i would recommend the sense ride 3 for most types of trails. i'm going to use them for seven sisters skyline race next month and cant see myself having ,any problems as they seem to suit almost all trail surfaces that i expect to see there.

I own a dozen Salomon shoes and love them. This might be one of my favorites in terms of looks and fit. They feel like they snugly hug my feet and provide excellent traction on loose ground. Two complaints:1) Salomon says on their website they breathe well. Yes they do, compared to a plastic bag taped to your feet. Compared to a truly breathable shoe, NO they don't breathe well. If you're in cool/cold climate, you'll be fine. If you're using them in heat, your feet might not be happy if your feet tend to get hot.2) I usually like the quicklace system that Salomon uses, but in this case the laces trap the little fabric pocket that you're supposed to tuck the lace pull into. So in other words, you either have the lace pull flopping around loose on your feet as you walk, or you wrestle with tightening the laces and then trying to tuck in the pull.

Every shoe I have worn, including Solomon boots have been 10s, but I had to send these back and got an 11. It's a whole size larger, but they fit the same as the size 10 Merrell trail running shoes these replaced. They fit comfortably and are not too long or lose in the heel despite going up a size. The padding does not cut into the Achilles tendon the way many shoes do for me. These are rated the softest cushion level at Solomon's site and elsewhere they are rated medium. I guess they are the softest Solomon make, and I'd put them mid way between medium and soft from my experience. I'm coming back from a knee injury so these are the right shoe for me.Grip and stability seem right for trail or track running.

I do 4-5 miles of trail walking everyday in the nearby state park, and shoes make a big difference on how much you enjoyed the walk. The trails are easy with a few climbs up/downs, light stream crossing and so forth.SENSE RIDE 3 is lightweight with adequate protection, quite appropriate for such short trail walking or running. Retired a few walking shoes recently, and bought "La Sportiva Spire GTX Hiking Shoe" for the daily walking, but didn't like the shoes, as seemed very heavy and drag on the feet; rugged nonetheless. So I had to look for a lighter shoe, and went for SENSE RIDE 3 "Stormy Weather/Pearl Blue/Lapis Blue" color, and looks very stylish and elegant. Very happy with the shoes.

My first pair of Salomon's after trail running in trainers before and I'm loving them after 1 tough run up a steep incline with lots of steps which I was able to ignore and run beside in the dirt without a slip. Comfy on the road to get to the mountain and just enough protection on the toes in case of missteps without being clunky and heavy. I'm impressed with the room for the toes (I have a big toe that often gets rubbed painfully on the top. Great tread giving plenty of stability in a very tricky steep rocky section. Running downhill there was ample cushioning in the heel and again very secure tread. On the way home I couldn't wait to get off the bus early to run more on the concrete.

These are my 2nd pair of Salomon sense rides, my first being sende ride 2. These are a nice upgrade from version 2 with a nicer fit for me. The grip is what youd expect from Salomon trail shoes, the size is spot on, comfort is perfect and durability is what Salomon are about. I've wore these on everything from forest trails to muddy swamped bogs and they hold their own on whatever I threw at them. Even transitioning onto tarmac rds there is still a nice bounce to them. Overall I would recommend these trail shoes and these will be my go to shoe for future buys.

Salomon has tried to improve the deficiencies of the previous Sense Ride 2 model, my previous shoe, which was broken by the thumb joint. Protections have been improved. Greater stability in the heel and ankle. Greater cushioning in the forefoot. The tongue better supports the foot. It is somewhat slower, but clearly improves stability and comfort, especially when the kilometers pass. Ventilation seemed sufficient to me. Use template: they fit and adapt well. After 45 km per mountain, very good sensations, although the toe guard has started to take off.

after fer ja uns 150 km amb les sense ride 3, the sabata segueix in perfect condition. això yes, gairebé I have not trepitjat asfalt amb her. I have reserved for you the most technical training. For the sensations, it is noticeable more cushions than the three models of Salomon. això s´agraeix for training and for fer distàncies mitjanes (40-50km). tot and how nice it is to feel the ground and run with a drop, baix (vinc de portar salomon sense pro 3), estic molt satisfied with the performance of the sense ride 3

We were heading on a trip to the rocky mountains, and knew I wanted to do some hiking. I am retired and NOT a hiker, nor runner but knew I needed some better shoes, so began looking into trail runners. After reading endless reviews and suggestions by the "experts" I chose these for the very important reason that they had easy snug laces! The week before the trip we started short hikes and walks to "break them in" but they were comfortable and felt good from day one. It was the perfect choice.

This shoe put an immediate end to my chronic heel pain. I’ve owned three pair now, and continue to love them. The Sense 1 was my initial and favorite, the Sense 2 is fine and I will use them when I can no longer find the Sense 1. The 2 seems a frog-hair wider, and the heel cradle on the 1 fits me a bit better. The lace system is the real magic, keeps my foot in the heel properly, but Ido wish there was a better way of securing it during wearing the shoe.

I used this for a 50-mile run across the Bob Marshall Wilderness in July 2020. The fit is great. It is stable enough without being a "stability" shoe. It's not too heavy for 50+ miles. It provides plenty of protection against rocks/stumps/debris. I didn't get any blisters. It just works. I will be buying this again for sure. In fact, I've made it my light "hiker" shoe for when we take our young kids out for short weekend hikes. Just a great shoe.

I got these because I have started running on trails instead of pavement. I want a bit more lateral stability so I don't turn an ankle. These are fantastic so far. They were comfortable on their first use. I would definitely buy these again. I was a size 9 in the Salomon 4D GTX boot but these at 9.5 are the right fit. I would bump up to an extra half size for these and read other comments suggesting the same thing.

19.2.2021

I bought these because I wanted more stability from my trail shoes. These deliver. My old New Balance ones did not provide great stability, and I felt like I was going to turn my ankle a few times each trail run. Not with these. But I don’t really like the faux laces. I can’t quite get them right in terms of tightness. Hard to perfect. Not sure why.But overall, very happy. And more confident on the trails.

19.10.2020

These are my first pair of the Salomon sense ride series and i must say what a great shoe, from the first run until this weekends Blackall Ultra 50, nice tight fit even after 50km exceptional comfort and astounding grip on very technical inclines, have travelled 140km since purchase and showing very little wear, great color and very smart looking shoe, will definitely repurchase again.
