I have two miniature Schnauzers and one is prone to getting severe pancreatitis and because of this, both the Schnauzers are on a vet recommended, low-fat diet of boiled chicken mixed through these biscuits.At first, my oldest dog was apprehensive about the switch (as he was used to getting the stuff straight from the supermarket i.e. bakers etc.) and those can be addictive to dogs, with some of the additives and such. But, then he started to enjoy the food along with my other dog, which was a great relief and so far he has had no pancreatic attacks (he's been on this diet for around 2 years).So if you're concerned about your dog(s) diet or have a breed that is prone or susceptible to pancreatic issues,

My old lab had pancreatitis and for the last 4 years of her life we fed her this kibble with no flareups. Cant recommend enough. I now feed to my 6yr old labs as it keeps down their fat intake and one of them used to have a delicate tummy but this suits him fine. I would give it 5 stars.....but after years of buying it am annoyed to find we can now only get it with Amazon Prime which I dont want to sign up for. I now order from Fetch.com where its cheaper and I can get timed next day delivery for free!

We have a Miniature Schnauzer that has a sensative tummy and this breed is prone to getting Pancreatitis. After several months of changing his diet, careful what he eats and no treats from the dinner table!, we were advised by our Vet to feed him this. Well he loves it! and the difference in his behaviour is amazing! He is so much happier all the time and this is definitely helping our dog to feel better! Quite expensive to buy but we will keep our dog on this as its brilliant!

My vet recently advised that my springador (lab x springer) was overweight. On the recommendation of someone who had already been feeding this product to their dog I started mine on this food.The evidence speaks for itself. My dog not only thoroughly enjoys the food, he has lost weight and now looks very healthy, with an extremely glossy coat.I would highly recommend this food for anyone looking to reduce or maintain their dog's weight.

My small dog was put on this food by our vet, about 5 years ago after a very bad bout of Pancreatitis. This has really helped and prevented any further bouts. I do keep a careful eye on her fat intake but she seems a very healthy and active little dog and is not overweight as many small dogs tend to get as they get older. I would certainly recommend this food to owners of dogs with similar digestive problems.

We have been purchasing this food since July when our miniature schnauzer had his first bout of acute pancreatitis .since being on the food his has remained fit and well.we worried that he would not eat dried food as he had previously been on wet food but to date he has been fine.its good to find a balanced food for this condition as there is so little information on the condition available

Vets 1.5kg too expensive but buying this 12kg bag gives me 8 small bags of 1.5 which is alot cheaper around 45% compared to the vets sadly. My small Dog was recently diagnosed with Cushings disease. Able to get this off Amazon is Fantastic. Arrived quickly before date given and well wrapped will buy again as she is on this for life. Very Happy at a affordable price and my dog loves it.

My 8 year old Cocker was diagnosed with pancreas problems and was very unwell. My vet recommended this food and it has worked wonders. My dog has lost weight, is keeping good health and has a spring back in his step. Couldn't recommended it enough. We will be sticking with Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal Low Fat food from now on!

Marvellous for my bitch whippet who was recovering from suspected pancreatitis. I also spoke with the manufacturers who were very helpful as to how best to manage her recovery with the best food plan. Brilliant product and worth every penny. I wish I'd known about it earlier & how helpful the manufacturers could actually be.

This is excellent value considring the price we would have to pay for this particular dog food at our local vet's. The parcel arrived promptly and in good order and the dog food is the only one we trust to deal with our clumber spaniel who has to be fed a product that has the absolute minimum amount of fat content

My small dog has pancreatitis and the vet recommended Royal Canin as it's low fat. I was paying £18 for a 1.5kg bag, so this bag is fantastic value for money! I will have saved over £80 compared to buying from the vet. I will definitely be buying again, but as she's only small it could be a while! ?

I always purchase the gastro food but purchased the low fat version this time in error, however the dog much prefers this and has stopped grazing opting to get this down in one feed which is far better. Main thing is he enjoys it and is still without colitis which he was prone to on other foods.

My 10yr old Irish Setter suffers from pancreatitis so has to have a low fat diet. He has always been a fussy eater but since being on Royal Canin Gastro Intestinal Low Fat he eats it quickly and has been a much healthier dog.Product price was competitive and arrived earlier than delivery date.

My miniature schnauzer has suffered from pancreatitis several times and has to be on a low fat controlled diet. She has taken really well to this food and seems to really like it. The kibble and nice and small so that suits her better than the crappie dry. No gut problems so would recommend.
