After over two years of a nasty, recurring skin infection around my terrier's mouth, my vet *eventually* suggested a hypoallergenic food - but not until after hundreds of pounds had been spent on a never-ending round of various antibiotics, a biopsy and all kinds of washes and creams. After some research I settled on Canin's Hypoallergenic - it's now 4 weeks since pooch has been on this food, and his mouth has been infection free for the first time since he acquired his allergy. I can't tell you how much of a relief this is - for the dog AND myself (and my bank balance). I was just about to embark on spending hundreds of pounds on allergy testing (I was advised that even this may not get to the bottom of the issue)

i brought this as my GSD has a bacterial over growth in his stomach and was very skinny due to his illness so the vet gave him antibiotics and steroids and advised me to change his food to the hypoallergenic food so i did and my GSD loves the food he cant get enough of it and he no longer wants the wet food as he would never just eat dry biscuits before but now he only has the dry food so in long run it works out cheaper. and after a week of being on this food his fur is so much better condition and he has put on loads of weight and seem so much happier. i highly recommend this food i no its expensive but is worth spending the extra pennys to see such an improvement in both appearance and health.

Have been giving this to my 8 year old boxer since he was 7 months old he struggled to keep weight on and suffered from diahoaera and vomiting it took over a year to settle him and to reach his correct weightThis is a fantastic price (our vet was charging over £85 for this 5 years ago) and we have tried him on Burns and James Well Beloved and Pets at home brand but just keep coming back to this (he's been on it repeatedly since he was 2)He loves it and poo's are small if he gets bored I just add very watery gravy for a week or so and he wolf's it down sadly he cannot have anything else no treats etc so it's such a relief he never tires from the same food day in day out

Are chocolate labrador has bouts of being sick . The vet suggested this dog food as an alternative to his usual brand .He would hardly touch his old food and would often leave it for the whole day .This one is gone within 30 seconds .He absolutely loves it and there have been no instances of him being sick whilst on it .This is cheaper than buying it from the vet surgery , and is about £20 more expensive than his old food . However , he is such a little darling that we don’t mind paying the extra as he clearly can stomach this one a lot better .I’m taking out of his pocket money though !

My dog definitely enjoys his food but isn’t a Labrador, if he’s really not keen he won’t eat it. My other dog is quite picky. Obviously doing a food trial you have to use the food for everything including as treats for training and I was worried this wouldn’t be special enough. However both dogs enjoy this so much I can just take a bag of this on a walk as treats for them. Not bad considering the main protein source is hydrolysed soy.This worked for my dog, the only “hypoallergenic” diet my dog has solid stools on, however this obviously depends what your dog is sensitive to.

Our French Bulldog was having terrible problems with his stomach, he was on another brand of 'Hypoallergenic' food but a friend explained to me that very few brands are actually hypoallergenic but suggested this Royal Canin food as it had solved the same problem with her dogs. Well it worked instantly, we didn't even need to gradually introduce this food. After one bowl he was cured of his previous problems. Would highly recommend this to other dog owners who's little ones may be having stomach troubles, I was a bit worried he may gain weight but so far its remained steady.

Our Westie had a skin allergy, even though we were feeding him with an appropriate natural wet food. Our vet suggested Royal Canin Hypoallergenic. We are using the dried version and what a difference to our Westie! It was apparent after just a few days. He is not troubled by a skin allergy now and is like a pup at times, even though he's 15 years old. We add small chunks of apple and vegetables to supplement the food, but it isn't really necessary. So easy to take on holiday and use as treats too.

For 6 years been plagued with skin probs and awful crusty ears, vet gave steroids antibiotics, nothing worked then a new vet at surgery says I think it's food related now we had taken him off th r usual foods already but still he was plagued so gave this stuff a try, and the difference is remarkable, he can hear now as his ears were so badly affected his hearing had gone, they're all cleared up now and his skin is far better we have. Even on this stuff a month now and i can't recommend it enough.

On our second sack now for my Shar PEI X. Bella has stopped her continuous moulting .. she still scratches herself but her coat is much softer too I notice. My belief is that this stuff is working and as we have just opened the second sack I'm pleased with the results so far. Bella loves this new food and transitioned on to it with no issues. The price is great too! Delivery is super fast I will be sticking with Royal Canin and this sellers great service

This food has cured my dogs allergies, we had him allergy tested and found him to be allergic to all meats, wheat, rice, potato no more sore feet and ears. this was recommended by our vet, they charge £47.00 per 7kg, this is a bargain. My dog loves it. The size of the kibble is just right, not too big or too small. He's a 4 year old boxer. His sore feet and ears have cleared up completely after 2 months of using this. We now have it as a regular order.

This is the best Hypoallergenic food for a dog that has been diagnosed with a problem that is alleviated by its use.My dog picked up the mange mite from a dead fox carcass found in the countryside that had died from the condition, my veterinarian suggested its use after treatment for the infestation and severe skin irritation,and it has kept her skin problem to a minimum and under control ever since. I highly recommend the kibble and tins..

This food was recommended by our vet for our 11 year old Labrador. Our dog has inflammatory bowel disease so he has a very sensitive stomach and most dog food does not agree with him - in fact this is the only one he can eat now. He tolerates this very well and although it is more expensive than standard dog food, it's worth it. We used to buy it directly from the vets and it cost £90 a bag, so the Amazon price is a bargain in comparison!

Kibbles are small and flat discs (much like size of 5p pieces). Dog took a while nosing it about but now eats it.Good value large bag lasting small dog ages.I am not sure I see an improvement in allergies my dog was forever biting round her anal sacs, checked and emptied them but decided maybe it was diet, my toy dog also has chronic runny eyes and itchy paw pads on and off, but eyes are less runny and dog seems well on it.

Excellent product, suits my two little chihuahuas perfectly. I bought it for one of my dogs that was suffering from hair loss, dandruff, itchy skin, watery and red eyes, lethargy etc, due to food allergies, all the fur has grown back looking even glossier than before, no dandruff or itchiness, eyes cleared up, energy levels back to normal, and the other dog loves it too so I don't have the hassle of feeding them separate food.

The vet put us onto this when my Jack Russell started to react severely to meat products (tricky for a canine!!) His skin begins to go pink, then red, then the itching and biting start. Now that he's on this hypo-allergenic diet, his skin remains pale and the irritation has subsided. The price of the product through Amazon is much more manageable, considerably less than what I was paying at the vets. So one satisfied customer.
