Whimzee Dog Treats Value Box of 28 MEDIUM TreatsAs dogs are important in our household, I am always on the look out for nice things for them. These Treats certainly fit that criteria. My testers are my two adult rescue dogs. "Amber" is a 20kg Mongrel (Greyhound x Alsatian x Staffie!) who is nearly 14 years old. She has some mobility problems from before we adopted her and with age has got worse, despite medication from the Vet and supplements. "Maisy" is an approx 8½ year old 15kg petite Irish Border Collie.Ist Impressions:• Excellent presentation in the form of a re-useable plastic tub that even once open seals well again and has a handy carry handle. (Great to re-fill with treats!)• Printed on the box are details of the Contents,Feeding Guide with age recommendations and the all important List of Ingredients. Printed in French, English, Spanish & German.• Safety Advice is also given, and MUST be noted before giving a chew to your dog.• Low Fat, low Protein and made from all natural ingredients, there are no ‘nasties’ in the form of preservatives, sugars, grains or GM ingredients in these doggy chews. They are Gluten Free, Vegetarian and highly digestible. In use:• These MEDIUM SIZE Chews, are designed for dogs OVER 9 months of age and weighing a minimum of 25lbs (11.34kgs)• These are Dental Chews with the shapes designed to be useful in fighting plaque and tartar on the teeth, and therefore helping to improve breath.• The contents of the box are 10 Stix, 9 Alligators and 9 Toothbrushes and ONE treat per day is the recommendation.• When the box is opened you are not overwhelmed by any strong smell. The contents have a doggy biscuit type smell.• When you pick the treats up, there is no residue or odour left on your hands. The treats are very hard in texture.• "Amber" and "Maisy" both really enjoyed the chews and neither had any adverse tummy reaction to them. (ALWAYS check with your Vet if you are unsure if the chews are suitable for your dog).Observations:• "Amber" is the greedy one of our dogs, and is a 'gobbler'. "Maisy" is more discerning and first has to sniff whatever she is given and then chews it well, savouring her food.• Both dogs took the treats eagerly and tucked into them. These treats really are a hard texture. "Amber" really had to work hard and it took her much longer to munch her treat than other dental sticks that we have. That is unusual for her! "Maisy" also had to work hard and took much longer than normal to eat her treat, and a lot longer than "Amber".• I have compared prices with the same treats sold by a well known chain of pet food stores. A box of 24 of the same make and size as these, retails at £15.99 which is 67p per treat. A different brand of toothbrush shape dental chews that are green, retail at 12 pieces for £10.99. These are even more expensive at 91p each.At time of writing this Review, this value box of 28 Whimzees has an RRP of £13.99 which is only 50p per treat. It is a 'no brainer'; these MEDIUM Whimzees Dental Chews are great for the dogs and great for my purse! I have no hesitation in recommending them, and so do "Amber" and "Maisy" woof woof

This little selection box of natural formed and shaped treats for a medium sized dog is fun and a good way to both treat your dog and keep their oral health in good condition thanks to the shapes having extra nubbles and ridges to help massage and clean the teeth including crocodile and toothbrush shaped treats amongst the regular twists and dentastix shaped treats. I think with size you have to take your dog into consideration, these took my lab muddle (she's more like the size of a smaller staffie) and my big greyhound both AGES to chew through and we had no gobbling (surprised at the grey) so the size was ok, any smaller we may have a choking hazard for the grey but any bigger would probably overwhelm my two as they do refuse BIG treats, equally I know someone with a small breed who has to have one treat for a Large breed dog so he can work on it otherwise he will keep asking for tiny ones that he practically inhales! You pick the size that works for your dog.My two older dogs took a while to take on board that these were treats, I'm sure my lab-muddle thought the first crocodiles offered were the children's toys and this was some kind of test as she panicked and ran away, so we tried the simple dentastix shaped ones until they got the hang and now they absolutely love them. Their favourite currently are the toothbrushes which we may buy as a big packet for them.My grey I was a little worried about how he would deal with them as he has had teeth removed partly due to being starved and beaten as a puppy (we were told he would lose teeth young and may have issues of avoiding drinking which doesn't help oral care all due to the state he was in on rescue) and partly due to his breed weakness with teeth. However I must say we have had absolutely no issues with these super chewy and long lasting treats, we have occasionally had yelps from other branded chewy/rawhide treats as I presume they've caught/scratched his exposed gums much like we humans might Yelp if a particularly crusty bit of French bread impales our gums or palate but absolutely nothing with these and dare I say it, his dog breath isn't as pronounced since we started giving them these once a day, I think they're doing a better job than the dentastix which is great, I'd be happy to reallocate those funds in the budget to these in future.

This variety pack of dog treats was the cause of significant excitement from my canine overlord, a miniature dachshund. We've been buying her the alligator chews for a couple of years and she loves them (we mistakenly called them 'crocodiles' after purchasing individually from a local pet shop, and she learned that word). One 'crocodile' lasts her 3-4 days, so in addition to helping to keep her teeth clean, these natural ingredient treats work out fairly reasonably. My pupper could smell some of her favourite treats from the outside of the package and was diving straight in to choose one as soon as the lid came off.The variety pack consists of 3 styles of chew treat - alligators, 2-tone toothbrushes, and dental sticks. I know the 'crocodiles' are the medium size, so I guess the toothbrushes and sticks are as well. We were a little bit disappointed with the range of treats included - by and large you don't get a mix of colours within the three styles, and almost half of the treats were a single colour. There were 9 crocodiles, and all 9 were green (which is my dog's least favourite of the flavours), 4 out of 9 of the toothbrushes were green, the remaining 5 were orangey-red - if all of the toothbrushes had been the red, this would have been a more evenly balanced set. There were 10 of the basic stick style chews, and all 10 of these were the beige colour. The storage tub is useful, and the price point reasonable, but given the over-representation of my dog's least favourite of the treat flavours in the set we received to try we probably won't switch to buying this mixed set instead of our normal bulk packs of 'crocodiles'.

Our Border Collie, Storm, is quite well known across social media for her antics and all the chews and treats that we use to train her and keep her healthy. Over the last 14 months of having her in our lives we've gradually moved away from tough Nylabone plastic chews that she was destroying, and used more natural or healthy chews such as Antlers, hoofs and Whimzees chews. While the brand of antler we have for Storm lasts months and is her go-to round the clock chew, as a treat we give her a daily Whimzees chew. And she properly loves them. She'll smash through it 5-10 minutes, but they're great for helping keep her teeth and gums in healthy shape. She's regularly pictured on Instagram and Facebook with a mouth full of Whimzees,to the point where Whimzees contacted me to see if we'd liked to be interviewed at Crufts this year. We declined because of scheduling issues, which was a shame as Storm might have been able to wag her tail and get a few freebies! We're not in anyway connected with Whimzees or have we received any freebies, we just keep buying them because our dog loves them and I highly recommend them to all dog owners.

These are vegetarian, gluten-free chews which are available in a range of sizes and designed to help keep your dog's teeth clean. The medium-size chews I tried out with my dog were fun to look at and play with. As well as the traditional ridged dental sticks, there's also a knobbly alligator and a witty little toothbrush design. The picture shows how big they are compared with a standard-size CD box.My dog'ss an Irish wolfhound, so I think he'd probably have appreciated a larger size, but these were a nice diversion for him, are good for his teeth and lasted longer than the few seconds of chewing I expected! They smell pleasantly woody, come in different natural-looking colours and are packed in an airtight plastic tub.The only downside for me would be the price - at 28 chews for £13.99, working out to 50p a chew, that might be a bit beyond my budget. However smaller dogs would probably take longer to dispose of chews this size.

After trying out a few different brands of chew treats (but not rawhide) from the pet store, I discovered that Whimzees are my dog's favourite. Added bonus: they don't upset her stomach like most other chews do. They are completely vegetarian, grain-free and gluten-free (if your dog cares about that sort of thing) and the ingredients consist of potato starch, glycerin, powdered cellulose, lecithin, malt extract and yeast. While that doesn't sound particularly appetising to me, my dog certainly enjoys them. They are low-fat but I wouldn't recommend feeding them every day, just a few times a week as a lunchtime snack. However, if you're looking for a long-lasting treat to keep your dog occupied while you're busy or out of the house,Whimzees probably aren't it. With my current dog, they last a maximum of five minutes and my old Labrador probably could have devoured them in less than a minute.

I ordered the small for my poms as previously I had ordered the medium size but they were still too big for my two poms in size, so had to cut down to size for them. Overall they seemed to enjoy them as I normally don’t give my dogs dentastix & try to brush their teeth instead. But they weren’t letting me brush them properly so decided to get these to help with their oral hygiene. Still try to brush their teeth 2 a week.My two poms who r 13 months & 20months seemed to like these so far.Don’t make mistake I made from reviews where people were saying the small ones were too small hence I ordered medium & small.Check out the size these are available for dog sizes in weight like my dog are toy dog breed. Will be doin that in future now but it’s gonna be a while till I order nxt cos I’ll have to cut these two sizes I got medium & small into smaller pieces !!!

I've found these really good for my old dog. Her teeth are getting a bit manky, at sixteen years old, and having them cleaned by the vet isn't an option as sedation is risky at her age. She can't tackle a big chew, so these small ones are easier for her. She's managed to nibble at them and clearly enjoyed them, and her teeth look a little bit better for it. I don't expect miracles or gleaming white teeth on my old girl, but if I can give her something to clean them up just a little that's a good thing. They also keep her occupied, which is good as she's less mobile and active these days and tends to sleep most of the time, so it's nice to see her alert and getting busy with something. The tub's nice as well and would be useful storage for other things when the chews are gone.

These dog chews are shaped to encourage the cleaning of dogs teeth. They are harder and more chewy than Dentastix so last longer. My dog really got stuck in chewing these and I watched as he moved it around his mouth back and front when he was eating it so hopefully these will do a good job. I always give him a dental chew at night before bed, I clean his teeth myself to but he obviously finds eating one these more. They are shaped as a toothbrush, a crocodile and as a dental stick so should reach different parts of his mouth. I usually buy large Dentastix and these are very marginally smaller but as they are more chewy last longer. They come in a square tub with a tight fitting lid and handle so keep fresh longer to.

I have seen these treats (or something very similar) at my local large Pet Superstore (you know which one) and I have picked them up for my dog as an occasional treat. They come in a mini crocodile, toothbrush and denta-stick shape and are made with natural ingredients so there is less chance of upsetting your dogs stomach, or if you don't want to load your pooch up with artificial additives. My dog loves these and they never last long before she is sniffing around for another one! This box is perfect to buy them in bulk and then to dish out once or twice a week, rather than buying them singly. These are highly recommended and worth a try if you are looking for a natural, small treat for your dog.

I had seen these on the counter at my vets for many months without paying much attention - then one day I was at a pet store and bought one of the crocodile ones for my westie! She loved it - and now I buy them regularly from amazon ( as they are £1.00 each at the vets/pet stores! They are the perfect size for a small to medium size dog and they last a long time depending on the dog of course - mine spends two days hiding it before she decides to chew it!The box contains toothbrushes, crocdiles and sticks. They are made of vegetable ingredients and no wheat or gluten and are great for dogs with sensitive stomachs!I love them - well the dog does!!!

This company always manage to supply these when the main Amazon subscription scheme is telling me there will be a delay or the item is not available/out of stock. This is the third or fourth time that has happened now! Sunscription orders obviously do not take priority !These chews make up part of my Bichon Frise's daily diet and they really look forward to breakfast so I assume that they must have a good flavour (substitutes do not get the same eager reaction!) The chews therefore form part of my regular subscription orders but occassionally I have to purchase an extra box as 56 between two doesn't cover a 30 day month!

I have started using these after changing from Dentastix. It definitely takes my Border Collie longer to chow these down and I am a lot more confident of what she is actually consuming. I was prepared for a bout of diarrhoea after first consuming these but her poos are fine.I am also happy with the fact she now has some kind of variety for her bedtime snack without compromising her sensitivity. The crocodiles and toothbrushes are cute but I think she prefers the sticks! I think it's just because it's a shape she is used to. Either way, we are all happy with this product despite it costing three times as much.

19.9.2018

Fantastic value compared to buying at a pet store. I have my doubts that these are large treats though. The hedgehog and crocodile are quite small and last my big dogs about 30 seconds per piece. The toothbrush and stick last about a minute. This is still a big improvement on most other dental chews. A dentastix takes 10 seconds and a tails daily chew lasts an unbelievable 3 seconds. If your dogs are monster munchers like mine I would recommend a beef skin or tail chew, but NEVER rawhide. All in all, I wouldn't hesitate to order these again and would LOVE an extra large treats variety box.

17.6.2020

My dog loves these so we like to buy them in bulk. I thought these were great value too when I saw them on here. Received in a super timely manner too. Only one thing I am disappointed with is the fact it advertises there are 28 in the pack but when I opened it there was a crocodile chew missing. I know it's only a quid or so in value but it's just disappointing that we are one down before we have even started, clearly a mistake when this has been packed as the plastic box was unopened. Is this why they are a good price?Otherwise these are fab value for money and great for our dog!
