Recommended by my vet when my working cocker spaniel developed infection in anal glands for the second time in his two year old life. He (the dog, not the vet) has always had loose stools despite being first fed on Wainwrights and then James Wellbeloved, both hypoallergenic and supposedly full of goodness. When glands not expressed fully if stools loose this can apparently contribute to infected glands, though not exclusively. This new food has produced firm, bulky stools, a beautiful, shiny coat and a somewhat relieved owner and vet as surgery as an option was looming. Keeping paws crossed that we may have pushed that a long way away. This food isn't cheap at £67.00 a bag but Amazon's subscribe and save option brings it in at just under £1.00 a day. 14 kg has lasted just under 8 weeks at 275 grms per day. That's absolutely fine for feeding my best friend and companion - it's the initial outlay that makes you gasp a bit!.

This food saved my elderly dog's life. He had a serious case of colitis a couple of years ago which nearly killed him, and he was refusing all food. I bought some tins of the Royal Canin Sensitivity Control and within a couple of days he was almost back to his old self. It was remarkable. Since then, if I try him on something else he has a recurrence of his problems. But, if I return to the Royal Canin, he's right as rain again.I couldn't recommend this highly enough. My dog is 16 now and doing OK. One pleasant side effect of this food is that it has made his coat the most shiny and beautiful it has ever been, despite being an old man. One warning though, Amazon isn't the cheapest place to buy this.Shop around.

I have a 6 year old Westie and a 4 year old Welsh Terrier who both have awful food allergies and this is the ONLY product that is available which doesn't contain ANY of their many triggers in it. They both love the taste of it and I honestly couldn't and wouldn't feed them on anything else. I cannot recommend this food highly enough ~ it's been a true life saver in so many ways. PLEASE try it and see for yourself ~ it's wonderful. It isn't all that expensive and rest assured, it will save you money in the long~run. PLEASE NOTE THAT IN THE DESCRIPTION OF THE PRODUCT IT STATES THAT IT CONTAINSS DUCK AND RICE BUT THIS IS AN IMPORTANT ERROR ~ THE FOOD IS DUCK AND TAPIOCA

we have always fed our dog a dry complete food, it is a good quality all natural one, but she became ill and the vets fed her on this while she was admitted as she became extremely dehydrated, and as her toileting became the healthiest it's ever been we decided to incorporate it into her every day diet. We mix this with the dry food which we now soak with hot water 10 mins before we feed her(vet recommended we do this as she doesn't drink a lot) , and then mix in this wet food. One tin does her two days with her biscuits (we split into two meals a day) (she's 9kg) and she gobbles it up a treat. She's the perfect weight, her coat and eyes are very healthy.

My rescue dog is just over a year old and has had stomach problems since I've had her, sometimes really extreme. I have tried almost every well-known 'sensitive' make out there and had her on pure chicken and rice - but still she had stomach trouble. Would also look at me when I put her food down and walk away, just didn't want to eat it - and some of it was mega expensive too. Vet advised this canin food and oh my goodness, what a differenceI have her on a mix of this wet food with some of the dry sensitive mix, and she LOVES it. Bounces up and down waiting for her dinner, so great to see her enjoy her food and have no stomach issues at all. Marvellous!

My dog Millie has a severe allergy to chicken and also a sensitivity to sugar which is apparently added to many of the 'wet' foods on sale in the supermarkets. We were recommended to Royal Canin Sensitivity Control by our vet. We had despaired of ever sorting out her bowel problems and the itching/scratching cycles but after putting her on the Royal Canin Sensitive, within a very short time all was normal and Millie has never looked back. Note, we have found that although she would eat more ( much more, she loves it) she actually needs less now than the recommended daily amount in order to maintain her healthy weight.

Thoroughly recommend this dog food, it turned our very poorly bull-collie cross around in 48 hours after years of struggling with her stomach sensitivity. We have tried various medication and diets over the years but by chance a locum vet told me to put her on this food while she was finishing her last lot of antibiotics and it literally gave her her life back. She's no longer on any medication and hasn't had any stomach pain since. She sleeps well again after years of broken sleep and can play with the children like she used to before her stomach sensitivity got so bad. We are all very relieved!

My westie has had serious digestive problems for long time, with bouts of diarrhea and vomiting practically on daily basis. I've tried natural food and every brand of regular dog food around to find something that agrees with him. No luck. A vet suggested Royal Canin and after being on this diet for over a year now, the frequency of his stomach upsets has reduced by 90%. On a few occasions when I've run out of this food and had to give him another prescription food brand, he was unwell again. Royal Canin is the only product that works for my dog.

This food was recommended to us by our vet. Our 9year old terrier needed to lose weight after having a ruptured cruciate ligament, all the extra weight she was carrying had probably contributed to it. We started giving her a tablespoon of this mashed up with a scoop of the Royal Canin dried food equivalent, twice a day. It must be tasty as she always eats it and it is well digested, not causing any tummy upsets. From having her operation in January up to March she had lost 2kg despite having restricted exercise and looked so healthy. IT WORKS :)

I use this food for my basset hound who has inflammatory bowel disease. She loves it! We noticed a huge difference in her stools when she started on this food and her coat is so much more healthy looking now too. This food along with daily antibiotics has made a huge difference in her condition as beforehand she suffered from chronic diarrhoea. The food is expensive but it does what it says on the tin. So much cheaper to buy from Amazon than our local vets! Subscribe and save is also fantastic.

My dog suffers from bouts of colitis. This food is brilliant for when the onset of symptoms occurr. He has not suffered from this since a pup. It's great for when they have bad diarrhoea. Just starve for 24 hrs and then feed this and they are back to normality in no time. Always follow instructions on tin. If there is sickness with diarrhoea then feed small amts throughout the day to see if the dog will keep it down. If symptoms continue then seek veterinary advice within 24hrs.

Our 16week old Golden Retriever had intermittent diarrhoea for almost two weeks (never sick or lethargic) and vet recommended this whilst we were waiting on test results. It reduced the frequency of her upset tummy and reassured me that she was absorbing nutrients more effectively than her non-sensitive diet. Would recommend this product and we're buying more whilst we wean her off it and back onto normal food (turns out she had a gut infection and needed antibiotics)

I bought this food as my dog has very sensitive tummy and the vet recommended it. My dog had the food for about three months before I realised that she had a reaction to the rice. She was so itchy and tearing herself apart. I did some research on the web and found out that it was common for dogs to be itchy after eating rice. I have now changed her diet and she has stopped scratching. I would recommend the food but not if your dog is allergic to rice.

We have a young cavalier king charles spaniel who sadly suffered from an awful case of hemorrhagic gastroenteritis , so badly we thought we would lose her. She was put on a diet of this food and, along with the pro-kolin paste and antibiotics, this really saved her life. She has to eat this food for life but after some adjustment she really enjoys it now and is a much happier, much healthier dog. As devoted ckcs owners we couldn't ask for more.

Our dog came to us having been fed a high cereal food for years and he had colitis from the day we had him. He has sensitive dog food with duck and rice as a norm but when his colitis flares up we starve him for a day and give him this for 3 days at least. Before we did this, we often had a very poorly dog or we were cooking chicken and rice for him for days. This is convenient. It isn't cheap but it is well worth the extra when he needs it.
