The dog food itself is excellent and at a very reasonable price, I have no quarms whatsoever with the product itself or the seller, however I am very unimpressed with the delivery. On the first attempt to deliver I was not home as it just happened to be in the 1 hr window where I was not in as I was walking the dogs (sods law) so a card was left in the letterbox. Pretty standard so far, I have no problem with this, however on the 2nd attempt to deliver I was not in again and rather than posting another card through the letterbox the courier just left it on the doorstep in plain view of the whole street.I'm fortunate in that my neighbours next door have a key to my house as they help out bylooking after the dogs from time to time when I'm at work and as such they happened to be arriving home as the courier was driving off and they took the food into the house. I'm fairly confident that the dog food would not still have been there when I arrived home had it not been for my neighbours actions.I do not expect to have my item left on the doorstep while I'm not home when I've paid an extra £8 for delivery. Granted it's my fault that I wasn't home on the first attempted delivery but I had no knowledge of when the second attempt was to be as it wasn't detailed on the card and I was under the impression I needed to rearrange it with them. Having said this I naturally would assume that if a second delivery attempt is made and I'm not at home then a card would be left through the door with details of where to collect the item from as has been the case when I've found myself in a similar situation with any other courier I've ever dealt with in the past.As a direct result of the sub standard delivery service it's unlikely that I'll be buying from this seller again which is a shame because my problem is with the courier and not with the seller. While I understand that leaving items on the doorstep of a customer is not going to be the policy of the courier company and was just the actions of the driver in question on that particular day, I'm not prepared to run the risk of having the same cowboy delivery driver again if I re-order from this seller.

I haven't actually seen my dog react like she did to any dry food.. she went nuts before it was even opened.. as seen in pics.. the ones of her feeding are blurry as she's chasing her food bowl around the floor!.Although i dropped a star for price (this is because i am on a tight budget but..) having said that it is the cheapest i have found for such a great quality food. I will be ordering again for sure. The ingredients are all natural and i feel much better knowing there is no rubbish at all in this food.I was really surprised at the smell, even though there is a mild dry dog food smell it's not at all over powering like some are so happy with that to.My Rottie has been on Chudleys and her coat is glowing and she seems to be doing well but her stomach is 'showing signs'in the flatulence department that something's not agreeing with her.. i'm hoping this clears as i would like to keep her on the mix of this one and James Wellbeloved for a little while yet, being a Rottie she has a very sensitive tum so it will be a very gradual change over for her but eventually it will be James Wellbeloved.I am happy with the swift delivery , price is not too out of reach and of course the food in general sounds better for her health all round. This is a dog who has been on the raw diet for nearly a year so it will be great to afford a good quality dry food that gives her just as much or nearly al the health benefits of raw.Very happy with this purchase and would recommend

We have a puppy and decided to buy various puppy foods to see which he preferred and which did him the most good. The James wellbeloved food appears to be the best of all of them. But why?Ok, it is nutritionally balanced for a young growing dog, is easily digestible, and has nice small puppy sized pieces. This is what we expect from a dog food, but what about performance? It's the first puppy food we tried him on that did not cause the puppy-trots and if anything it dried him up a little. He enjoys it, and if you want to add a little pizazz to the meal, add a little hot water first to the dry food, allow it to soak in and cool then serve - it has a scent that the dogs love, which is released on warming. This means that puppy is far less likely to get bored with it.When pupy was younger we moistened it a lot, yet it still retained its integrity and did not turn to slop like so many supermarket brands do, and as he grew larger, we moistened it less, giving his newly developing teeth something to crunch on and enjoy. All in all a good brand, and one that puppy still likes - best of all it has a variety of flavours!

I really hate wet dog food. It smells, it is sticky and it gets all over the place with a puppy. Not only that, you are paying for the high water content in it.Therefore, my dogs are fed on dry food.I got a new puppy, and thought I would try this food to see if he liked it, and he did, at once. You place the kibble in the bowl and (IMPORTANTLY) soak it in water till it is soft - I use warm water as it seems to soak in that much faster. Then you give to the puppy and watch him empty the bowl! The reason for soaking is so that the kibble does not swell in puppy's stomach, as this can cause all manner of problems. Presoak and there is no swelling , puppy will stop eating as and when he is full. The food itself loks fine enough, although I confess to NOT actually having tried it myself, and it has a reasonably pleasant scent when warm water is added to it.Furthermore, at the other 'business' end, the smell is not that bad, I have smelled far worse, and for this alone, the dog food is worth it.Good value for the pack and if you want to continue feeding with the same brand name, then there are a variety of flavours.

When I first got my staffy pup, I bought some supermarket dog food on a whim, but as I started to look into it more carefully I discovered this brand in a couple of online forums and was impressed with the quality and what's actually in the food.Against online advice of buying small quantities first in case your puppy doesn't like it, I went ahead and bought a 15kg bag and I am pleased to announce that my puppy loves it! I made the mistake of leaving the bag in the room with her for a couple of minutes and she nibbled at the bottom until she made a hole, so the only con about this is that the bag is not very sturdy since it's a paper bag.The actual food consists of small nibbles that I alsouse as treats sometimes. But the transition from the other food was smooth and she licks the bowl clean every time. If I notice any benefits after feeding her for a while I will update this review, but I am pleased with the quality (it even smells better than other brands we've tried) and will buy again!

James Wellbeloved is my dog food of choice. Balanced, nutritious, and since being on it my dogs have settled digestive systems (always a pleasant bonus) and shiny healthy coats. I can honestly say that I have never had any issues with this food at all.The Junior food has larger chunks than the puppy, so before switching up to this food do make sure puppy is ready for it. It's actually good for those teething months as the pieces are so large they act as gum massage for the teething dog.The only other thing to watch out for is to weigh the first amount of food you give your pup (instructions on back of each pack) as if you are anything like me, you will already be used to filling puppy's bowl up to 'that'height with the smaller nuggets that come in the puppy sized pack - it is different to the larger Junior food and you wil need to adjust the first time out.Other than that, highly reccomended and as there are a few flavours in this food, the dog never seems to get bored!

I was reluctant to get this at first, thinking that the 'ocean white fish' might have a particular scent, which is NOT what I would want hanging around the house, the puppy or indeed when it makes my dog pass wind. I need not have worried. It containst fish and rice, but smells of neither, opting instead for a generic dog food scent. Even when I put warm water on it to soften it for puppy, it did not smell of fish, and this peased me very much indeed. As usual, James wellbeloved is a high quality food for your dog or puppy, and I have fed mine on this for a long time now with NO adverse effects aside from them occasionally wanting a different flavour, which is understandable. This rings the changes, and keeps puppy happy and healthy.Excellent food, and NO fishy stench!

Nice bridge food between puppy and adult, but is one of the more expensive complete dry kibble mixes on the market. Our dog seems to enjoy this flavour more than the others and finally is appreciating the bigger sizes of kibble compared to the smaller puppy mix. There is hardly any odour from this mix and it stays fresh (well, so Milo tells me woof woof) for as long as it's out. Which is normally not that long with a Springer.Well recommended if you are looking at an in-between puppy and adult food.If you found this review useful then please click the helpful button below, and be sure to check out our other reviews of products you may also consider purchasing from Amazon. I have had many Yorkshire terrier puppies and I always fed them on Royal Canin puppy food. However they often had upset tummies which is normal for yorkies. This time I decided to try James Wellbeloved puppy food and my current puppy is thriving on it. Poos are always firm and there is a beautiful shine off his coat which I did not get with the Royal Canin. The kibble is very small which is great for small breeds. There was a very long best before date which is important if you buy the big 15kg bag. I am very please with this puppy food and so is my yorkie he loves the taste. I will buy again.

Good dog trainer recommended this fish/rice kibble as a good treat to use when training my dog, as it was different to other james Wellbeloved food he was getting at the time & he loved it.New pup now & it works great, yes there is a slight odour but hardly notice it.german shephard pup loves it so no waste. buying in in 2 Kg bags at 2 month intervals is enough for me to use daily when out walks & training. great product & much more cost effective than those little bags of treats which cost a few quid.will move onto adult type when pups old enough.Great.

dog loved it and really cheap buying it here on amazon... shame the other James Wellbeloved food doesn't have the same discount. (£36 instead of £52!!)Dog is whippet x and after a hard start in life seems to only be able to eat fish based food. This is easy to use, apparently very tasty (elderly dog used to be fooled into eating his food with a handful of this mixed in) and for some reason much easier to get your hands on through amazon than the like of pets at home in a 15kg sack. as a person who can't stand eating fish, it isn't too pongy.

Bought this for my sons new puppy.James Wellbeloved is a really good food for dogs and has all the right ingredients and additions that are required to maintain your dogs health and well being. On top of that they love the food,Well this was another success, the puppy loved it and it didn't disagree with her which is a plus. Puppies have delicate tummy's.He did follow the guidelines and introduce this into her current diet gradually.Given the chance I have no doubt she will be a James Welbeloved dog.

My pup got an upset stomach with this food (most likely because of an intolerance to lamb than the quality). This food isn't as 'smelly' as the other flavours so seems to appeal less to the dogs, but it's a matter of each dog's preference. The food is high quality and nutritionally sound so no real issues. I've fed all of my dogs on James Wellbeloved for the last 20 years and they've all thrived. The 2kg bags are accessible for finding out what protein your dog likes/can tolerate without too much waste!
