Wonderful food for dogs with sensitive digestion. Highly recommend this. All Burns foods are terrific and this one is especially good for a senior dog with digestion problems and possible elderly complaints including arthritis and kidney function problems. Burns pet nutrition advisors are very easy to contact and are very helpful when trying to choose the correct food for your dog.The packaging from Amazon for this particular food is however totally inadequate and provides no protection from crushing or ripping of the dog food bag. I have stopped ordering this particular food from Amazon as a result as the dog food (dry biscuits) have been very badly crushed into tiny broken pieces and crumbs.Other Burns food (Fish and Maize) comes from Amazon also but is protected correctly with a strong box and comes by the same courier completely undamaged. I have had both types of food on my Subscribe and Save list for over 6months and have found the same packaging experiences each time (great with the Fish and Maize, totally unacceptable with the Sensitive with Duck). Will continue to purchase the Fish and Maize from Amazon but not the Sensitive with Duck, unless Amazon rectify this poor packaging/inadequate protection issue.

I can't rate this food highly enough! Our 6 month Chocolate Lab was on Arden Grange Puppy/Junior Chicken and Rice, which the breeder had started the pups on and recommended, so naturally we carried on with it. However, to put it bluntly, he was a pooping, parping machine!!! As the main picker upper of poops, I had an endless task every day and envied other local dog owners whose dogs were producing 3 easy to scoop poops compared to our boy's 7 or 8 daily splats!Enough was finally enough..I turned to Amazon reviewers and came across the reviews for Burns and decided to try a small bag. I had intended to replace the Arden Grange slowly, but the improvement happened so quickly that we ended up completely replacing his food by the second day and haven't looked back since.Doggy seems to love this food (although he IS a Lab and so is enthusiastic about anything even remotely edible of course) and I love the clean air zone in the house and the normal poops.Delivery times from this company are brilliant too. Ordered a 15kg bag Thursday 22 Dec....received it Friday 23 Dec! I didn't even pay for the next day delivery. All dogs are different of course, but if you have a pooping parping pup, definitely give this a try!

I've always used Burns dried dog food to feed my last 3 dogs and my present 7 year old rescue Staffy is no exception. The first three had all thrived to a grand old age but over the course of a couple of months my Staffy's faeces had got looser and looser - to a liquid consistency. Removing it in a bag was becoming a nightmare He eats total rubbish which he manages to sniff out over incredible distances with his super-canine power - seaweed, dead rabbits, birds and seals and dog poo! Yuck! And so I thought he was beyond help and continued to work on "Leave it!" training. Then my son's Collie was diagnosed with food intolerances especially wheat and had completely recovered by changing fromBurns Canine Alert to Burns Pet Sensitive Complete Dry Adult and Senior Pork and Potato so I tried my dog on a half and half mix and was AMAZED at the difference. Oh the joy of being able to pick up a complete poo one-handed once again! (Still working on "Leave it" but we're getting there ...slowly)

We have a cairn with an allergy to something - not sure exactly what it is but it is cereals generally - which results in a flaky itchy skin and makes her prone to yeast infections. This allergy started suddenly when she was about 6, she is now nearly 12, but our other cairn has never had a problem. Avoiding all cereals turned out to be the answer and this is one of the few dry dog foods she will eat - she mainly has cartons of "Nature diet" and we give Burns as a snack rather than use it as a total food however, when we started to use it to combat her skin problems, we fed Burns alone and her skin condition improved visibly within days and the yeast infections have disappeared - ear infections were treated with antibiotics and we used Malaseb on her coat, but the main thing is that they have gone and not come back. I am unsure why Burns is not promoted more by vets - maybe they don't get any commission.

We rescued a chocolate Labrador 5 years ago, he is now 10. Since we rescued him he has had nothing but trouble with his stomach amongst other things. After 5 years of tests, ct scans mri scans etc which has cost us a fortune because we couldn't get him insured we were recommend by vet to use other brand, we did for well over a year but he was still vomiting, upset stomach. I had read up about burns sensitive, I contacted them and they very kindly sent me some samples. He has now been on burns sensitive for about 4 month he hasn't vomited since nor upset stomach he's lost over 7lb(he needed to) as we are sticking to it rigidly, we do buy the burns sensitive treats also just a couple a day.We cannot recommend this product enough, after years of trying other brands. He is so much a happier, healthier boy. Thank you Burns.

I have 2 dogs - one with a cast-iron, eat-anything-and-poo-normally stomach, the other who gets the squits at the drop of a hat and seems to poo about a thousand times a day. We did have them on another, cheaper, 'sensitive' dry food, but the one with the dogdy digestion produced an unholy volume of poo, albeit relatively solid. Since switching Burns, however, his plop is solid, smaller and less frequent, and the room-clearing wind problem we all vicariously experienced has all but vanished. Plus the little furballs seem to enjoy the taste. It is nearly twice the price of the other stuff but feels worth it for these benefits.Sorry for all the fecal talk but i guess if you're thinking of buying this then sorting out dog poo issues is already of some importance in your life.

my working dog has a sensitive stomach but since changing his wet food to all flavours of forthglade, its certainly improved his digestion. i mix it with burns dry food and he licks the bowl clean everyday. for a large breed like mine, one tray lasts a day split in two with some dried burns. my dog is a lot happier on this food and has a lot of calm energy which is good for his job!!!!! i have tried all the flavours of the burns and he love the pork sensitive, the duck but his favourite is the normal salmon which is also gentle on his stomach. burns certainly mixes well with forthglade. since the change he goes to the toilet normally and is so much happier. i hope this helps.

I wouldn't have anything other than Burns now. My dog Reiver stopped eating his food altogether (he's really fussy, he would always have to have wet food with it. We then switched to Burns (recommended by trainer)and he loves it!! He will even eat it without having the Burns wet food in it. I prefer to give him both but if I run out of wet he will eat it dry, which is something he has NEVER done till getting Burns. I would recommend this product to anyone that has dogs with a sensitive belly aswell. As both my dogs went through stages of having an upset belly and then switched to Burns and they have now had to NO problems in this area :)....A must buy!!

My dog has a sensitive tummy. She can’t tolerate rice. Burns free range has 3 flavours so far. Pork, Duck or Turkey all with potato. Instead of rice they have Maize or buck wheat in. This is now the only food my French Bulldog can eat and has no issues with. It has also kept her at the correct weight and our vet is really pleased with her health. I went through a lot of different makes of food until we found this one. That agrees with our dog‘s tummy and that she also likes. Actually she can’t get enough of the stuff. Woofs her dinners down immediately lol. Highly recommend!

my dogs were already on a high quality food, but it kept upsetting their stomachs, and so I thought I'd give this a whirl..... I wasn't even sure they'd eat it after being on tinned wet food. How wrong can you get.....they go absolutely mad for it!! Needless to say, there hasn't been one upset tummy since they've been on it ( which is saving me a fortune in vets bills).....and i don't think they'd speak to me ever again if i took them off this, and gave them another food! One of the best decisions i have ever made, was to put them on to this miracle food!!

I have an 8mth old male Cockerpoo. Feeding him has been a nightmare. He's not been interested in any food I have given him. He scratched and nibbled at his skin driving him and me to distraction. I was advised to try him with duck. So I bought him duck fillets, cut them up and fried them gently in coconut oil which he loves. I also bought Burns duck sensitive food, which he eats but only when he is on walks and free running. The scratching and nibbling have stopped and his poos are solid and less smelly. So for my dog and myself this a total success story.

Great product has almost totally fixed our dogs tummy troubles, he occasionally gets a bad bum still unfortunately but.. no bloating type tummy troubles at all and much less wind. The only downside is the price,(hence 4 stars) although this is the cheapest I have found it the price tag is still hefty but I have to admit it seems to be excellent quality he loves it and the 15kg bag goes a long way.. we have a greyhound weighing around 33kg and the bags last around six weeks if mixed with a little wet food.Delivery has been very quick and packaged well.

I'd been foolish enough to deviate from Burns food after my puppy grew into adulthood. She ended up on Butchers wet simply because she seemed to prefer it and scratched less, however she had ear problems and I put her back on this sensitive one. The difference is immediate, her coat is so shiny and in such amazing condition, she scratches less and her ear problems have gone. her pooh volume has dropped and her stools are firmer than ever (sorry but she has anal gland problems so this is needed) Absolutely amazing food. I'll never change again.

Was recommended this by our pet shop. Our dog’s stools were often very loose so something in her previous diet (Autarky) wasn’t agreeing with her. Within a day or two of swapping she had healthy stools and no gassy intestines. Further more she enjoys the flavour (which is a bonus as she’s not a food driven dog). It’s higher in price than others but it works brilliantly for my dog so for the sake of a few pounds I’m not risking going through food trials and the phasing in/out routine associated with introducing a new food.

I am Buddy a 13 yr old Staffie. I say everyone should buy burns. I have been eating it for 11 years and have lead a healthy, happy life. I have a sensitive tummy so my parents have to be careful what treats they feed me. I have never had any issues from eating my burns meals. I Know my parents would buy me anything I want regardless of price but Burns dry food works out cheaper than canned food and has everything I need for a balanced diet. Why not treat your pooch to a tasty burns dinner? It’s wooftastic
