If you have a dog with a sensitive tummy, then this could be the food that your pet needs to rectify the problem. It is certainly working for our petite Border Collie, "Maisy". She is a rescue dog that we have had since September 2012, and from the start she had to visit the vet regularly for various digestive problems. Even now it can still flair up, so we are trying this food and at the moment, all is well. This brilliant dry, crunchy food is specifically tailored for Adult dogs of 1 year old and over and is suitable for all breeds.Eukanuba is a complete food so you will not need to add anything. Chicken, Turkey and Rice are the main ingredients, all of which are gentle on the stomach and easy to digest. In addition Beet Pulp, Prebiotics and other essential nutrients and minerals are mixed in and balanced. Being a crunchy food it is also good for your dog's teeth. Not only will this food helps with sensitive digestion problems, but also helps to build strong, natural defences, a healthy skin and coat, lean muscles, strong bones and aids dental health. On the back of the food sack, there are clear instructions of what quantities of food to feed your dog on a daily basis. This is calculated using the weight of your pet. Obviously the recommended quantity can be split into more than 1 meal. 3 meals are good, spaced out through the day. That way there is no overload and reduces the risk of bloat. In addition playing, walking and eating are what dogs look forward to, so if the food is divided up into 3 meals there is more pleasure for your best friend. This dried kibble is great for using in activity toys, thus slowing down the intake of the food and the tendency of some dogs to wolf it down. Dispensing food in an activity toys also helps to get the dog to use its brain and keep your pet occupied for longer.I have included some photos so you can see the size of the kibble pieces. As you can see, this food looks quite tasty. Certainly "Maisy" took to it straight away and she can be a little picky at times. We have only had her since September 2012 at which time it was hard to find food that she would enjoy. No problem with this Eukanuba though!Don't be put off buying a sack of the food, just because it is large. It is the most economical way to buy it and as the sack is a very strong plastic with a zip top and stands up without flopping over, it is ok for storing.Interestingly, the Royal Army Veterinary Corps awarded the contract to Eukanuba to supply the dog food for the various categories of Army Working Dogs.Update 10/8/13I am pleased to confirm that this Sensitive Digestion food really works. "Maisy" is now producing much firmer, dryer and more compact stools with no yellowness. She has not had any vomiting sessions either. Great dog food.Update 16/9/13Further update - yes this food really does work. "Maisy" has had no tummy problems whatsoever since being on this food and her stools are even better than the last update. Excellent food for dogs with sensitive digestion.

Well so far this has had a paws up as it has been wolfed down however to be honest he will pretty much eat anything ergo probably why he suffers from a dicky tummy! Jake is a staffie and is sensitive in a few different ways such as skin, joints and digestion and so we have decided to test a few different types of the Eukanuba out on him to see if they make any difference, however the review period is 30 days and I think that this may be too early a timescale to advise of any noticeable differences especially as we won't be able to test them all at the same time. So we have made sure that he actually does like the food and will eat it first by giving him taster meals of it and introducing it slowly as per the instructions. The idea being that later I will update the reviews to reflect if there are any changes to his health in regard to the different types of food. We are using the dry food as a mixer to the wet food too as having always fed both we think it preferable to stick to this rather than doing a total switch to dry food and so not to upset him with the sudden major change to his diet. His normal brand of dog food is Winalot and so we shall see if the Eukanuba can compete both in health terms, edibility and price over the long term. What I can say is that the bag is very very big and I hadn't realised that 12.5kg was quite that much, so I am pleasantly surprised and also wondering where on earth to store it! The bag advises that it should last around 57 days but this is obviously dependent on your dogs weight and how much you are feeding per day and this guideline is also based on your dog being around the 20kg weight range. Also this is based just on one dog so if you have two or more then this bag will last less than the 57 days estimate. The big bonus is that the bag is resealable with a zip lock at the top and so very pleased with not having to decant to a separate container all of the time and the food being able to stay fresh. The main ingredients in the food appear to be dried chicken and turkey, rice and maize along with dried beet pulp. I can't confirm so soon if there have been any positive effect on his digestion and this could also take longer than one bag but we shall wait and see if this makes any difference to Jake's digestion and the science part on the bag and the description certainly leads me to believe that it will.

As much as my bank account is in opposition to my view, I really am finding the Eukanuba dog food to be such a good investment for my dog! I really wish that I had swapped her on to Eukanuba years ago.My Golden Retriever has always had a delicate tummy. I never thought that the dustbin of the dog world could be so sensitive, but evidently she has never learned her lesson in regards to trying to eat things that she shouldn't. As such, she has been plagued with tummy troubles since she was weaned. I found I had struck a relatively reasonable balance for the past few years by feeding a bizarre mixture of wag dry dog food, and pedigree wet dog food. Any other brands I have tried have caused her further tummy issues. This balance of digestion was a little precarious and easily overbalanced. I had become used to my dog having an occasional upset with her digestion every few weeks, that would pass within half a day. Even the vet felt we had got to the best state that was possible for her. However, since switching to Eukanuba (four months now, and counting) my Goldie has honestly never been so happy with her digestion. She has only had two episodes of tummy troubles in the whole of that time. I feel like it is a wonder food for dogs. I honestly cannot believe the difference that it has made. The specifics of the Eukanuba Sensitive Digestion include the fact that it doesn't contain any wheat, as a filler ingredient. Dogs with sensitive tummies do find it can cause upset, and so this has been left out of the Sensitive Digestion Eukanuba mix.As an added bonus, all Eukanuba dry foods are formulated to be good at removing plaque. They use the DentaDefense HMP system which help to both remove the plaque and to prevent it forming on the teeth again.Overall, I highly recommend this dog food. It may not be easy on the bank account, but it really seems to be easy on my dog's digestion!

This dog food is really good. I have two dogs, 1 10 year old Jack Russell terrier and a 2 year old Cavalier King Charles spaniel. The cavalier has sensitive digestion and if I give him food with wheat or gluten in it, he has very loose stools and gets itchy skin. I've found it fairly difficult to find complete dry dog foods which don't have wheat it, i'm sure they put it in because its cheap. It's detrimental to a lot of people and i'm sure to a lot of pets too. This Eukanuba food is rice based (I've copied and pasted the ingredients list here)and although my cavalier doesn't wolf it down as quickly as he does some other foods, it's much better for his digestion. He stools are now solid and well formed and he doesn't scratch any more. He does eat the food, don't get me wrong, but I suppose it's not as full of artificial flavours as some dry foods and so he doesn't get quite as excited about it. I'd prefer to give him more nutritious food anyway. Like us having lots of veggies instead of cakes.Ingredients:Dried chicken & turkey (22%), rice (21%), maize, sorghum flour, animal fat, dried beet pulp (2.8%), fish meal, dried whole egg, fructooligosaccharides (0.77%), dicalcium phosphate, potassium chloride, sodium chloride, sodium hexametaphosphate, fish oil, calcium carbonate, linseed.Additives:Vitamins: vitamin A (46,167 IU/kg), vitamin D3 (1532 IU/kg), vitamin E (256 mg/kg), beta-carotin (5 mg/kg).Trace elements: Basic cobalt carbonate monohydrate (0.50 mg/kg), copper sulphate pentahydrate (47 mg/kg), potassium iodide (3.4 mg/kg), ferrous sulphate monohydrate (633 mg/kg), manganese sulphate monohydrate (48 mg/kg), manganese oxide (34 mg/kg), zinc oxide (220 mg/kg).I would recommend this product to other people who's dogs have digestive issue.

While on the rather expensive side, Eukanuba dog food definitely seems to be worth it, both from the 'science' point of view, and the opinion of the dogs. All of our dogs are highly enthused by the different varieties of Eukanuba food, even my 2.7kg toy breed puppy who is not food-oriented at all and somewhat difficult to encourage to eat enough. This 'Sensitive Digestion' variant is presumably intended to be roughly the equivalent of "Hills i/d" food which is available on prescription from vets. We fed it to a senior large-breed dog who has been on gluten-free food for years because of some digestive issues. This certainly seems to be superior to what he has eating beforehand, both in terms of his,um, "output" and enthusiasm for mealtimes - he eats at 5pm and is totally aware of this, but enjoys these meals so much that he starts asking two hours early every day now!The kibble size is good - approximately half an inch across - and suitable for dogs of all sizes. The claims of '3D dental technology' are difficult to substantiate, but the kibbles are indeed crunchy, if not quite so much so as the Hill's varieties. The bags are easily resealable and keep the food fresh and the portion sizes mean that a bag lasts a 35kg dog just over a month (at approximately 300g a day).Worth spending a little extra to feed this to your furry friends.

Grabbed this for my 10 year old Ladrador. She is getting on now and like most older dogs has arthitus and is very slow moving.Normally i feed her those meat trays you get and thought i would try this out on her.1st day i put it down she looked at me as if to say what the hell is that, but i just walked away and left her too it.30 seconds later she had demolished it, come up to me on the sofa, grabbed the sleeve of my cardigan and pulled me back towards the kitchen where she shoved her nose in the bowl and looked up at me with expectant eyes.Poor thing, i didnt give into her tho, but did the same thing at dinner time and she whoomped it down. She has now been on it twice a day for the last week and i have to say i am absolutely amazed at the difference in her.She is more bouncy, happier, a lot livelier, runs like a much younger dog, and when i took her down the beach i couldnt get her off even after 2 hours. Normally when she has had enough, usually after 15 minutes she will saunter up to me and just flop down on the sand and refuse to move, but nope she kept me out for hours.Im really happy she likes it because it feels like having her as a pupy all over again.Only problem is, im absolutely jiggered all the time lolVery highly recommended..

Eukanuba is the brand of food that both the breeder and my vet recommended to us when we got our golden retriever, but sometimes we mix it up, as Stan (I had nothing to do with the naming process) seems to become bored. Of course these experiments can sometimes lead to upset stomachs, so this is what we return to. Eukanuba Sensitive Digestion isn't as irritating to their stomachs as other food is, and it contains the best combination of nutrients for glossy coats and strong teeth. I can't ask the dog for his opinion on this particular flavour, but as he shoves it down his throat as fast as I can pour it into his dish, I'm going to call this flavour a winner. The food doesn't smell as strongly as wet food does and it can be left out all night without becoming inedible, which is good as otherwise he would wake the house up at the crack of dawn, demanding breakfast. There's not much that I can add - Stan loves the taste and he seems fuller then he does with other foo. His coat is thick and glossy, and his teeth are strong and white. Finally; yay for Amazon - not only does it cost less than it does in the shops, but the bulky & weighty packs are delivered straight to my door, so I don't have to lug the heavy load home from a shop on the bus...

One of our dogs seems to have drawn the short straw when it comes to health issues. She can't tolerate normal dog food as it upsets her tummy too much, she seems to pick up every ear infection going, she's bothered by her hip joints and she suffers from sensitive skin to name but a few. Trying to accommodate all her ailments through diet alone isn't possible but it's fair to say that her menu is usually pretty bland. I thought I'd give this a go to try and liven meal times up a little for her without setting off her tummy troubles and so far she's liking the change. We've started slow with this one as a complete turn around on what she is used to would probably be unwise given our past experiences but so far it's looking good. She seems to like it and it hasn't upset her tummy at all so we're all pleased with the trials so far.Downside to it all is that it's such a big bag it will take a while to get through and as there's no way to seal it once it's opened so we've decanted it all into a big food bin with a tight lid to keep it from going stale. Folding the top down and securing the top with clothes pegs would work too but a re-sealable bag would have been better.

I've recently changed my dog food from Wagg to Eukanuba and so far I've very happy with the results. My dog is just over 1 year old and made the transition over to the Eukanuba very well - I followed the packaging's recomendation to mix "old brand" with "new" over 3 days and this worked well. So far the dog has eaten all the food given to her (full Eukanuba portions) and she seemes to enjoy the food too - she is far more excited at meal times than shw was on the wagg, which implies that she prefers the taste of this food too.I Have been feeding my dog this food for about a three weeks and already her coat is more shiney, there's no bad breath and, interestingly, her "buisness" is a lot less smelly,However there does seem to be more of it....probably due to the food effectively "cleaning" the bowles of things not needed. The packaging also recommended feeding 1 portion in "halves" over the day (morning and evening)and using this method the 12.5 kg bag has enough for 72 portions (or 147 halves) which is more than a month's supply of food, making it good value too.All in all I'm very happy with the Eukanuba and will certainly be buying more in future.

My daughter has a Siberian Husky which has quite a sensitive stomach so she was keen to try this Eukanuba dry food out on her. Unlike some of the previous brands that she has tried, her dog didn't appear to need a period of time to adjust to this food. However, her dog is a bit of a fussy eater and some days she just did not want to eat the whole bowl full and would just keep taking small amounts throughout the day. This is where a major advantage of dried dog food over meat becomes evident, the dry food does not seem to attract hordes of flies or smell too much (even when water has been added) when left in the bowl for a while.A useful feature of the bag in which this food comes is that it has a zipper to reseal it so that the food remains fresh.Overall this was a very successful trial, even seeming to cure the dog's flatulence for a while : ), but my daughter has reverted back to the food she was using before purely because she feels that her dog prefers it. However, at least she has found a good alternative for when her dog's stomach is going through one of its more sensitive periods and the usual food is aggravating it.

I like this product and more importantly my dog enjoys eating this product. For point of reference my dogs favourite is Bakers, a very cheap dog food for those on a budget. Pedigree chum is ok but usually leaves some in his dish. This product goes down really well with him but does leave his poo dark almost black with a greeny brown centre and powerful smell if squished. The biscuits are approx. double in size to Eukanuba Puppy. The bag is similar in size and weight to a sack of potatoes and can stand upright freely.12.5 kg = 57 days feed. For optimum benefit packaging states this should be fed daily and exclusivelyContains22% dried chicken and turkey21% riceThe rest is a bit confusing as I couldn't clearly find where the remainding % comes from. The description does break down protein 23% and fats 13% etc.for me I m happy to continue using this product, however when It comes to replacing I will have to factor in my budget at that time.

Our dog is very fussy. When I say that, I obviously mean his digestive system is very fussy. Being a dog, he will eat absolutely anything (apart from salad, but I'm with him on that). Without trying to make you feel sick, when some dog food comes back out, it's not the easiest to clean up.So, he;s been on this food for a week or so now, and so far so good. He seems to enjoy it, doesn't moan he's hungry (well, no more than any normal dog would), and there's been no upset stomachs (from the dog or the clean-up crew).Based on eating and digestion alone, I'd recommend this, and would buy it again. So it comes down to the price. Doing a quick comparison, it seems this one is a bit more expensive than other brands, but then for a sensitive version I think you would need to pay more. It's entirely possible that I would get this again - but I would check around first in case there are other brands doing the same for less.

My 5 year old pug was very over weight when we rehomed her a month ago. She was on a low quality food and suffering with terrible wind and bad breath. It took a good few weeks to get her onto this. I was having to mix the dry food with some of her wet tinned food to get her used to it. I tried soaking the biscuit at first with tap water and she refused it. A month on though we’ve now found a trick that gets her scoffing down her bowl every morning and evening, I soak the biscuits with a little hot kettle water and give when luke warm. She LOVES it. Her wind has completely gone which is great!!! We've been following the feeding guidelines (strictly) as well as fitting in plenty of exercise and she is losing weight nicely. Her coat is looking lovely too. Really pleased with this food. The price for the amount you get is amazing also. Will be regularly buying again.

My daddy switched me to this new Eukanuba food - I've heard they have a good reputation - as an experiment, he said, to see if it really was good for my tum. Well, I wasn't too happy about being used for an experiment - I'm against animals being abused like that - and I was made more unsure because the food bag didn't say what flavour my meal was to be, but there was nothing else to eat so I gave it a go.I have to say it was very tasty, even if I was not sure of what (daddy says there is a lot of rice in it, so it's not gluten free). I yummed it all up very quickly which made my daddy pleased. He was even more impressed when my toilet motions were good, despite the switch in food - this new meal was good for my tummy too!I'm sure your doggie would like it if you wanted to try it out!Bye for now,Enzo (English Pointer dog)

Our dog loves Eukanuba food. Then again, she is a Labrador and therefore renowned to eat and enjoy almost anything which is edible! But I feel happy feeding her Eukanuba because it is a breeder and vet recommended brand. She has tried a few varieties in the Eukanuba range now and this one is excellent, on par with the rest of the Eukanuba varieties. She wolfs it down at every mealtime! While she has never had any real problems with her digestive system, feeding her this variety of Eukanuba ensures that her digestion remains normal, especially as she is now a senior dog. Eukanuba is excellent quality dog food with no added preservatives or artificial colours. Although it is quite pricey,a 12.5 kg sack lasts for about six weeks so it is good value. It is helpful that the bag is resealable as it keeps the food fresh.
