Remington B5 Style Series Cordless Beard and Stubble TrimmerThere is a lot that I like about this cordless trimmer from Remington. First thing is that it sits very comfortably in the hand, the fingers lay directly over the depth adjusting wheel and power slide switch. This is made from good quality plastic with an attractive shiny and matt combination. The upper part of the trimmer has a large textured silicone area which provides a good grip.A charging cable and wall plug are provided in the box, the input on the trimmer is by way of a Micro USB socket. The output from the charging unit is 5.0V - 1A so it may well work with a standard USB charger too? Charging time from a flat battery takes just 2 hours, this will provide 2 hours of use.I do like that the depth combe can be easily adjusted by using the easy grip wheel, this has 17 depth adjustments in total. The combe is easily removed by just pushing a thumb against it, the trimmer can then be used for very close trimming. This is very sharp, it cuts through the hair like a knife through butter, this is probably due to the titanium coated blades. For trimming and shaping I've found this to give a precise cut virtually every time, no going over the same area several times to remove stubborn hairs that weren't trimmed on the first pass. The motor has a reasonably quiet, smooth, reliable sound to it as there is no excess vibration due to imbalanced blades that you sometimes find with some trimmers. Also provided is a material storage pouch, along with a small brush for cleaning the trimmer blades.I do love this little trimmer, it's well made and is very sharp - Highly RecommendedCONTENTS:1 x Trimmer1 x Depth Combe1 x Charger1 x Carry Pouch1 x User GuideThank you for reading my review, I hope you have found it helpful.

My partner needed a good electric shaver. He doesn't have long beard hair but does get "long stubble" and all his razors get blunt quickly and can cause lots of irritation, and the electric razor he owns gets clogged up and his hard to clean. This one however is great - good quality, easy to clean and secure to hold too.Pros:- Nice ergonomic design, it's easy to hold with one hand and adjust the dial with your thumb- Rubberised thumb padding for increased grip- A sturdy dial operates the blade guard and adjusts for hair length. It can trim hair from 0.4mm-18mm which is a great variance- Has no issue cutting coarse or fine hair- It's easy to clean - the guard is easily removed by pulling it out and it comes with a brush to clean the blades, there's been no clumping issues so far- Is charge and go and comes with a plug, and holds charge for a good amount of time and charges quicklyCons- Not good for a close shave- No rubber grip on the topside of the unitOverall the unit is great for trimming facial hair, or shaving down to stubble and can handle all types of hair trimming. My partner's hair is very coarse as stubble and finer when longer and it works well for both stages. However, it is not suitable for people who want a close shave, but it isn't a razor so that's obviously not its' main job. It's not bad value given that it's a well known brand and works really well, and like I said the variance in trimming length is quite impressive! Highly recommended, the design is great and it screams good quality.

This is a simple to use basic beard and stubble trimmer. There are no frills about this product but it feels satisfyingly solid and it does what it says it will, unlike some other more specialist products that cost far more. Reassuringly, this is a Remington item which comes with a 3-year warranty which is increased by a year if you register the product online. As trimmers are used by two males in the household, we've never managed to keep one going for more than 2-3 years, so it'll be interesting to see how this fares. It charges quickly - 2 hrs - and once charged, you get about 60 minutes' use. We can attest to this, as it's gone through 3 trims of about 15 minutes each (or just over)and it's still going strong. You don't risk overcharging with this as it's clear to see how much the appliance is charged from the indicator. The depth of trim is easily to adjust with the wheel and there's no movement once that's done. The blade can be removed and washed (great when in use by more than one person). The combs can be removed for close trims, and it feels quite safe to do so. The trimmer is a little slippery as there's no grip on the sides and it is made of smooth plastic, but once you've used it a few times, it's easy to get used to where/how to hold it to avoid slipping/dropping this. It is quite noisy but again, it's not a biggie if you're on a budget like most of us are. It's not fancy, but it does the job and it would suit Joe Average's budget at under fifteen quid.

There are probably three top makes for electric shavers and beard trimmers – Braun, Remington and Philips. If you get a device made by one of these three the chances are it’s going to be good. The Remington B5 is a beard and stubble trimmer with a simplistic approach. There is a Zoom Wheel to adjust the cutting length which can range from 0.4mm to 18mm over 17 settings and. This adjustable comb lets you select the length you need and can handle anything from a simple stubble to a well-maintained beard. There are always two things I look for in any electric razor or trimmer – it must be cordless (and easy to charge) and it must be able to be washed under a tap. Both these criteria are fulfilled here. After charging it has an impressive usage time of up to 60 Minutes and the charging indicator shows when it’s charging, fully charged or running on low power. If you’re caught on the hop with a flat battery you can use it as a corded trimmer as well. As per my requirements the trimmer can be washed under a tap.It looks like a well made piece of kit and it certainly works well. The blades are advertised as titanium coated and self sharpening, though I can’t comment on that aspect at this early stage of usage but I can say it was an easy experience. I like the fact a travel pouch is provided and that there’s a 3 Year Manufactures Guarantee – which increases by 1 extra year when you register the product online. It’s a win-win.

Whats a bargain, just under £15 for Branded beard trimmer, wow.. People may think, why is so cheap? Is quality not to good? The answers are here: quality is great, the body of this trimmer feels strong, well made. Thanks to low price everyone can afford it. This product is battery operated (2xAAA) so we need to keep buying new batteries from time to time. It's good to have this trimmer if we often going camping where electricity is limited or there is none at all (places away from civilisation). A freshly styled beard brings back the hygiene and confidence that everything is tidy and on its place :)Trimmer have removable head and comb which can be washed under tap water. The rest of the machine is not water proof so we should keep it away from water. When we spin the grey wheel, the comb goes up and down- we can choose the length of our beard -from 0.4mm to 18mm. It's pretty good selection to choose from.. My husband shown for video an example how this machine works on his hair wrist. It cuts hair to the set length. The noise of working trimmer is fine, not disturbs. It's great product, pretty lightweight, doesnt take to much space so it's perfect for holidays, travelling, etc.. But before you go make sure you have an extra pair of AAA batteries :) just in case..

The Remington B5 is a beard trimmer which doesn't go too mad on gimmicks, it offers an adjustable length cut which is easily modified using the scroll wheel and that's it. The whole mechanism for changing the length is built into the trimmer, so there is no need for any attachments such as different length combs or anything like that. The trimmer is pretty well made and looks good in it grey and black finish. The splash of yellow on the scroll wheel is nice. In use the trimmer is easy and very comfortable to use and has done a perfectly good job of tidying up my beard. It lasts for ages on a single charge (comfortably the 60 minutes advertised)but if you get caught out by the battery level you can also easily use the trimmer whilst it is plugged in - which is not something all such devices are able to do.The blades are self-sharpening but I haven't used it for anywhere near long enough yet to comment on how well this works or how well the trimmer lasts. You can remove the blades to give them a clean if you need to, although brushing out the hair on a regular basis seems to be sufficient most of the time.At £32 currently, I think the B5 is good value and definitely worth a look for a comfortable and effective solution to keeping your beard trimmed.

A beard trimmer, designed to keep a three day or more growth of facial hair under a bit of control.I have had similar things to this is in the past, and the first thing you notice about it is the size. It is bigger than most, and it's good and solid to grip as a result. There is a protective cover to the blade part on top, which comes off easily enough. It takes a moment to get it back on, but you will soon figure that out. There are settings, so you can adjust the depth of the trim. That's done via a wheel in the middle of the main body. Below that is an on off switch, which goes up or down easily as well. The device is charged via a socket at the bottom for the charger, which comes with it in the box,to go into.a light below the on off switch will show you when it needs charging. You can remove the panel of the cutting section in order to clean inside as well. There's a full instruction booklet and a drawstring bag to keep it all in.It also comes with a very well sized cleaning brush.Best one of it's kind I've ever seen, this is a really good product, and it's well worth giving it a go.

The dial makes it easy to control trim length and this is surprisingly comfortable to use. There were no issues with irritation or 'catching' and it was very easy to hold and manoeuvre. To give you an idea of size it's quite a bit slimmer than a standard shaver and really comfortable to grip. Powering up is easy, although it already had power when it arrived. The guard design is simple but effective and remains firmly in place, although it is easy to take off and put back on againI think the biggest surprise was opening up quite a decent sized box and finding virtually nothing in it. The trimmer was stuffed into a small compartment built into the larger box and then the charger etc was separate to this small compartment but wedged at the bottom of the box.I don't know why such an outsized box was used.Because of this emptiness when Initially opening up the box you might be tempted to be disappointed, but they really as far as performance is concerned and as far as a product doing what you want it to do, this one delivers.

The Remington B3 is a low cost, compact sized, battery powered (2 x AAA supplied) beard and stubble trimmer which comes with a soft carry pouch making it a perfect travel item.Operating the trimmer is easy via a simple ON/OFF button and a zoom wheel operated by the thumb adjusts the cutting lengths from 0.4mm to 18mm. The first 5mm are in 0.5mm increments, the next gives 6mm and then the wheel turns in 2mm increments up to a maximum length of 18mm. This range should be wide enough to cover most short beards and short to medium length hair too.The shaver body feels good quality, with a matt black plastic finish and a rubber textured surface to the top section to aid grip. The setting zoom wheel is well positioned to make it easy to adjust with the thumb. The blades are quick and easy to remove for cleaning, 2 x AAA batteries are supplied, and with no mains cable to worry about its an ideal travel companion for body hair grooming.

I'm not a mad fan of beards, though not a fan of stubble brushing up against my face either! (oh there's just no pleasing some women) and being a woman I know nothing about beard trimmers. But I've had a look at this for the sake of a review and (from my non existent knowledge of them) I can say it feels very ergonomically friendly in my hands and the button and wheels are perfectly placed so you don't need to put it down to change the height of the blade thing .... now granted you might be thinking 'she's a woman so probably only has small hands' ... yes correct, but my brother in law has tried it and he says it's really good and also feels good to use. He also said easy enough to clean. And its cordless ... yay! Can't answer whether it does actually last 40 mins between charging as yet.But it's def got a thumbs up here. Price I also think is reasonable so 2 thumbs up !Hope you found this helpful .... let me know if you did.

Although not by any means a top quality trimmer this is a good enough to use on a frequent basis, I'm going to take it with me on holidays and short trips, rather than my expensive one. Actually it compares favourably on performance, if not build quality or robustness- it feels like it wouldn't survive a fall onto the bathroom floor. The charging cable is a good length and, unlike other makes I have had uses a fairly standard connection, so you should be able to use other chargers with the same size plug (useful if you keep losing these)I like the wheeled blade height selector which means you don't have to keep removing and replacing sizes if you're trimming different lengths, just dial it in.In feel and look this is OK, maybe a bit light and the plastics are obviously cheap, but this is a very inexpensive trimmer, so this is to be expected. Design-wise it looks OK.Work well and trims without effort.

I have tested many different Remington products over the years for Vine. Some have been good, others bad. It can be a bit hit or miss with Remington. This product is very good and in terms of build quality V price, it is better than many of the Philips products I have tested. The product itself is well made and comes with 1 head. I have used it on sideburns and beard and it worked quite well. With the heads, you can cut between 0.4mm to 18mm. They cut brilliantly, with a smooth action and give you a consistent depth of cut. One of the big advantages of this trimmer is that it has a quick charge, long-life battery. A 2-hour charge will last about 60 minutes. The blades are super sharp and the feel of the item is very good.Overall it feels and looks to be a premium product, even though this is the base model. Overall, this is a nicely made product, with many uses and I am happy to Recommended it.

Review for the battery operated Remington B3 Style Series. For the price of this I was pretty much expecting to receive something resembling a kids toy. I was wrong, it looks much more expensive than it was. It's also nice in the hand and is light but without feeling cheap. I don't know how this can be produced for such a cheap price which also includes a couple of AAA batteries. So, is it worth the money? Yes, very much so. You will have to keep two spare AAA batteries at hand all the time though because there's no charging this one up if the batteries die half way through trimming. This model I'm reviewing is the Remington B3 Style Series which has no charger or mains power option, instead it's powered by Two AAA batteries although you could fit rechargeables if you have some. That is its only downside, otherwise it's a great little trimmer which does the job at an unbelievable price.
