Before I will begin please excuse any grammar errors as English is not my first language.I am a long time fan of Project Zero series (Zero in Japan, Fatal Frame in US), I have played every single title that was released till today, so my feelings might be a little biased.Nevertheless this is a very good game and anyone, be it a fan or someone knew to the franchise should enjoy playing it, especially if you like horror games.GRAPHICSI'll start with the graphics, this is Wii we are talking about so don't expect HD visuals out of this, but as Wii game it looks really great. Character models are very well done and nicely detailed on pair with Japan exclusive Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen.Environment is also done with a nice touch and everything when put together gives this great horror vibes coming from your TV.I have noticed small slowdowns when there is more then 2 ghosts that we have to fight with, but nothing major so far.User Interface was vastly remodelled but some elements have been copied from PS2 version, like frames etc. It's nothing bad and personally I think it's a plus for someone who already played it on PS2.SOUNDA lot of sounds in the game are taken directly from PS2 version, and some from Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen that was never released outside of Japan due to Nintendo not being keen on paying Tecmo to fix the glitches. Overall everything sounds quite good and if you have a good sound system you will most certainly enjoy playing Project Zero 2 in a dark room with maxed volume.GAMEPLAYThis game is hard, and I mean it. This is not your typical "horror" action game that are being released now, this is hands down old school horror game with a challenge. As I have been studying Japanese for the past 10 months I did import Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen and that game can't be compared, playing it at the beginning wasn't very challenging and you could beat it on normal without using any Type films besides the initial Type-0 up till the last enemy. Project Zero 2 doesn't screw around, I have started playing it on normal and I have already died several times as I was totally not expecting ghosts that could take half of my health bar with one attack!.Controls are fine, it's mostly Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen, but I am not sure why would they change some of the controls and how it was handled in that game, mainly walking left and right are now a little slow compared to Zero but overall animation is better and I like on how they improved the speed of our heroin; walking and running speed of girls from Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen were really really slow.Camera controls could be better, but at least even when using auto-aim option by pressing Z is no longer I WIN button like in Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen. Ghosts like to teleport a lot so fights are engaging and a give a lot of fun.To sum it up, this is a must have for Project Zero fans, and anyone who has a Wii and likes to play horror games. Please buy and show that us Europeans are not easily satisfied with what is being released these days. After Zero no Tsukihami no Kamen my second favourite game on the Wii.

I loved the original Project Zero 2 on the PS2, and this version manages to improve on it.Project Zero 2 on the Wii offers (a lot!) sharper visuals, a new game mode, some new endings, and many added creepy details such as the fantastic new world interaction mechanism, where you have to keep the button pressed while your main character slowly reaches her hand out to pick up an item, open a closed door or investigate a crack on the wall, the camera often moving into some dramatic position accompanied by an unnerving sound effect and a random chance of a ghost attacking you just when you are about to reach the object. The camera is now more naturally positioned than it was in the original game, and even though the Wii controls feel clumsier than in the PS2 version, I actually grew quite fond of them, as they work to drive in the fact that you ain't your generic Mr Shooter McBiceps in this one.The English translation seems (from memory) better now, and the voice acting (with British accents) is better and less cheesy than you usually get in horror games -- the quality of the in-game writing seems to actually be another improvement they made when porting the game. This game was very much worth the price, even after playing through the original back in the day. It's the creepiest game so far in the genre making its living off of creepiness.

Forget a horror film with cliches, Fatal Frame is perfect for a frightening night alone with unpredictable scares - maybe shared with a friend or spouse as comfort during the unforgettable experience. You will be terrified, but as differentiation from great horror to mundane horror, there's a /need/ to continue instead of a choice - forcing the player to trek into abomination of the human form - grotesque ghosts. You will need capture the souls of spirits with a camera, forcing the user to be directly in their face as a bold confrontation, and explore a dreary site which is not only foreboding viscerally, it's the real scene of a ritualistic slaughter - a whole village massacred. The occult themes, exceptional environmental design, creepy enemies, intriguing subplots, tension when collecting items as a hand may appear, peeking through windows or holes to risk an abrupt encounter - these are many of the elements to create a truly unparalleled survival horror experience which is a must-buy to fans of the genre.

Fatal Frame 2.. Or should I say, Project Zero 2, either way it works for me, the game is great, alot of fun too, it's the first time I've ever played a game like this where your camera is your main weapon and I've never played any of the Fatal Frame/Project Zero series before so obviously I played on Easy to get the hang of it, getting into it I thought I was playing on a higher difficulty because it was fairly fast at times and you have to react pretty damn fast too, even on Easy I jumped alot it was quite unexpected from the ghosts. I even feel sometimes that because I've played the game that there's an actual ghost from the game in my house..My imagination though..Other than that it's a great game,I really enjoy it so if you're up for a scare (more than once for sure) then this is the game for you, remember your camera, it's the main tool that'll save you!

I remember playing this game quite a few years back but was never able to finish it because the disk got corrupted. It is sort of nostalgic but I really like the game. I would have preferred this on the PS3 and those controllers because the Wii ones are a bit annoying especially when you have to hold the nunchuck as well.I don't like the British English voices much either. I always prefer the original voices and would have loved to have this in the Japanese version with English subtitles. That would have enhanced the experience for me definitely. But the Fatal Frame series has been my favourite for a long time.

This game is very good as it is a prime example of a pure survival horror experience untainted by resident evil 4.However Nintendo has seen fit to cram in terrible motion controls that really affect your experience of the game.
