I've recently bought Halo 2, Pro Evolution Soccer 4 & Star Wars Battlefront, but I've hardly played them because Project Gotham 2 has kept my attention for over 12 months.When I first got this game, I was slightly dissapointed with the graphics, as they are not are 'sharp' as some racing games (eg TOCA 2), but after a while I realised that is because they are more realistic. The graphics are representative of what you see at 100 mph, so they won't be pin-sharp, but saying that, they're still excellent, and the cars look teriffic.Where this title wins hands down is in the gameplay department. I played this game on single player mode for over 6 months, and loved it. The handling of the cars is excellent,and once you learn the courses, you can have some really exciting races, even if the AI of the computer controlled cars is a bit flawed. However, once I got Xbox Live, things got really good...Amongst the options available in Xbox Live, you can select the 'skill' level of the people you want to race against. As a novice, you will race against people of a similar standard, and you can select higher levels as you improve. What I loved about this is that you soon get a group of players who 'grow up' together, and soon you'll all be racing at a really high standard. It's not hard to explain the attraction - When 8 of you are on the grid of the fast Moscow Track in your Enzo Ferraris, ready for the charge to the first corner, or as you slipstream someone on the final straight, and pip them to the finish, for a second it feels as if you are in a real Formula 1 race.This is the must have title for the Xbox. Forget Halo 2, with it's Live players from America killing you as soon as you start. This is the best.

Project Gotham racer is an absolutely superb racing game. The graphics are at the moment the best you can get on any console with both the cars and environments being totally perfect. The controls are what they usually are for the XBox with the two anaologue triggers controlling breaking and acceeration and the left joystick controlling direction. All controls become 2nd nature very quickly.There is a vast variety of cars to choose from, ranging from road cars to supercars and five are to be unlocked as you progress through the game. There are around about a dozen cities to race in, each city with many different circuits in them.Many other racing games i have played in have had some system of earning money to be able to buy better cars or to upgrade them but project gotham racing 2 (PGR 2)has by far the best sytem. Where as in other games you reach a point with acquiring cars where you find it impossible to progress and are stuck with same cars forever, in PGR 2 you are not faced with this problem as more cars constantly become available as you progress through the classes of cars. At the beginning of each race you select a difficulty ranging from Steel (easy) to platinum (very hard). On many other games the hardest setting will be virtually impossible for anyone to complete but on PGR 2 the hardest setting is attainable to better gamers. Saying that less experienced gamers can continue to all tracks by completing on easy setting so do not miss out.There won't be anything to compete with PGR 2 for the PS2 as they do not have anywhere near the capabilites of the XBox.This game will be enjoyed by everyone of all ages.

This game is still up their with the premier Xbox racers, a year after the original release, and now those nice people Micrsoft have let you folks out there have the game for under 20 notes.....The game may not have the slick speed of the burnout series, or the addrenalin rush of almost throwing your car of a cliff in any number of rally titles, but what this game offers is a superb "pack race" through some of the largest cities in the world, underbrake your opponent, slip stream em down the straight and then, wallop, pass them on the corner, of course trading a little paint work on the way past.You start the game with a limited garage, and then work the way through the game,having to earn the right to be able to drive the cars usually reserved for football players and pop stars. There are over 100 tracks and cars on the game making sure it will take you a long time to obtain them all. The single player is all based round Kudos points which buy you better cars, these are earnt not only through winning races but driving with style, great overtaking manouvres, driving on the racing line at speed, etc etcThe multiplayer game adds another dimension, get your mates round and cut em up in all from Mini coupes to top of the range porsches and any other car thats worth its salt.Online, the game has a massive following and plays a lot slicker than any of its competitors - and there ae players of all levels on line to challenge and play against - with the option to down load even more content at a small price, it makes the game even better !!!Overall a cracking game, well worth the small price

I'm quite surprised. I've just got myself signed up on Xbox Live and am finding myself enjoying the PGR2 experience MORE than the Halo 2 experience. Its hilarious! Where Gran Turismo 4 is all seriousness and real world accuracy, PGR2 shines in its instant accessable arcade racing fun. Its an arcade racer but with a bit more substance than the likes of the Ridge Racer series. Now, to be fair, the one player game is a bit of a duffer when compared to GT4's 'do your cars up, learn all the courses, drive like a pro' all encompassing approach, but when it comes down to playing against real human opposition, this is the game to go for. Now,the one player game has merely been resigned to a means for unlocking new vehicles in my eyes.I just can't get enough of occasions where without fail, everyone PELTS full speed into the barriers on the first corner in an eagerness to get that vital lead spot, accompanied by the sounds of people creasing up with laughter over the communicator. There is something more fulfilling about racing some real people than GT4s mindless drone cars. When was the last time that a car in GT4 weaved around in front of you, trying to stop you getting past? Smacked into your rear end to spin you out in front of the finishing line? Misjudge a corner and completely screw up? It just doesn't happen, the AI just can't compete with the human element.Yes PGR2 has been out for donkeys years now, but I'm only just cottoning onto the Live experience with this game and its an absolute blast.

I bought this game when it first came out on the Xbox late last year. However, I sold my Xbox in the summer, but have since brought a new Crystal one. One of the first games I brought again was this. And it's still stunning.The single player will easily last you 30 hours, and then some. There's the Kudos World Series, Arcade Racing (Time Challenge, Cone Challenge and Street Race) and then you've got the Circuit Challenges and the Car Challenges. You're definitely not short of things to do if you're playing on your own.Then we have the Xbox Live modes which are once again fantastic fun. You can easily lose yourself for a whole day online, just whizzing around beating the French.Kudos earned here also allow you to buy new cars, too.Graphics and sound are something else. I'm still amazed at the quality of the graphics that Liverpool-based Bizarre Creations got into this game, even one year on. The sound of the engine and the effort put into the radio station system is also fantastic.Now this is on the Classics label it can be had for a few pence short of £20, and you'd be silly not to buy it that price. This game is easily marked under 'essential' next to the likes of Halo and Ninja Gaiden. Don't miss this out of your collection, grab it at this fantastic price and sit happily knowing that it was made in this very country.Fantastic to see we've still got such fantastic game-making talent in this country. Project Gotham set the standard for racing sims at the launch of the X Box, just as halo did for FPS/Strategy. Prject Gothem 2 was the much anticipated sequal to the original which was hailed as one of the best racing sims of its generation. PGR2 raises the bar again by offering intense rapid racing through a variety of cities which are exact replicas of their actual locations. this game has loads of features which not only includes the ranking of KUDOS, but also time trials and car challenges. the game isnt hard to complete either. with different medals awarded for different achievments, its possible to complete for even the worst of drivers! the platinum medals though will keep you for hours tring to notch up those extra few MPH.where this game accells above the rest is in its online playability. the amount of hosts available on all circuits and abilities is phenomenal. so much to chose from, and now the developers have released extra cars and tracks for download!this game is a classic, you would be foolish not too... i bought this game when it came out and i still go back to try and up my kudos.you will not be disappointed (live player or not).

man this game is really good, if you want a good and the best racing game on x box get projet gotham racing 2, you can drive all the best cars including the ferrari enzo, lotus, lexus and a lot more. i have been playing this game for some time now but i still think it's the best racing game. the graphics are so realistics that you will think that you are in the car.you race around the world in all the countries including the streets of Chicago,Washington DC,Florence,Barcelona,Edinburgh,Yokohama and a lot more. i think that the graphics are better on x box than if you were playing it on ps2. if you are getting an x box get this game. it is still my 5 star game but i am only waiting for forza motorsport ot come out,that game will be very good, but fornow i will stick with PGR2. i hope that my review was helpful to you. thanks for reading...

The world's most critically acclaimed racing game - PGR2 & I am happy with my order. Reboot Retro were quick to dispatch it and I got it in lightning fast time. The customer service was flawlessly fantastic! The team were kind, respectful and helpful.The pack comes with original PGR2 CD, and old customer service Microsoft numbers & game manual. I have to say the CD is really clean & runs smoothly without any hitches!I am glad to be playing this game for the 2nd time since its release - one the greatest works by Bizzare Creations - this takes me back to my childhood days - good nostalgic times. The love & respect I have for this game is unquestionable.

This game is great, you can just pick up and play. i feel you dont get awarded with enough kudos tokens whe you level up but who cares?! you can race so many nice cars (102 in total) and even more if you have xbox live... the content downloads are 2 car packs, and you get a bmw and the atom free. the actual gameplay itself is immense, your thrown right into a race and as you progress unlock faster, better handling cars, until you end up with the ultimates. These include the enzo and ford gt, but the car which i had most fun in was the mini or nissan skyline, believe me you gotta play this!

Every car in this game is completely unique in looks, handling, and perfomance. There are an immense amount of tracks and cars. Far far better in every way than the previous game (in PGR 1 all the cars handle the same xaroxspawn!) The graphics are superb and with it being a purposefully made Xbox game the graphics are better than anything you can get on the PS2. This game does require skill and alot of time. Xbox live gameplay is absolutly fantastic and truly unmissable. One of the most enjoyable driving games ive ever played far better than any Gran Turismo game!!!

This game beats all of its rivals in so many departments, the graphics are terrific, the gameplay is very realistic, the attention to detail on the cities is amazing.eg, in the edinburgh tracks, the shops, buildings etc are in the correct place, the castle looks exactly as it does in real life, considering i only live 20 miles from edinburgh!this game is well worth the buy.

PGR 2 is definitely the best driving/racing game I've ever played! The graphics are brilliant, the cities you race in look like the real thing and there are so many cool cars to choose from! The difficulty levels are novice, easy, medium, hard and expert, so the fun never runs out! There are also lots of surprises to unlock and you can play multiplayer as well.

We all enjoy playing this one (up to four players at any one time). Great fun, and some really great cars to drive. The only thing that lets this game down is that you have to unlock the tracks in single player mode before you can use them in multiplayer mode.
