The game was released this weekend here in the UK before the rest of the world. Is that legal? I mamanged to buy it from a store which a week ago said it wouldn't release it for another week.The game is a must have, and in my opinion beats GTA in many respects. It is more difficult, as the missions are somewhat longer, and the graphics are much better. The game has added features such as mini driving games, including chases and get aways, as well some obstacle challenges.Cities are phenominally rendered, trully awesome. Nice, Miami & Istanbul free for your taking, you can drive around them in your free time, or do the meticulously directed missions. Very much a take on Gone In 60 seconds,the missions undertaken so far are a lot of fun, and quite the challenge. Only completed a few, but have saved every one for a replay at another time. Tanner the Good/Bad undercover cop, fighting crime whilst stealing 40 expensive cars in the mean time. Like GTA, you can be tracked by police as your felony rating increases, and this can happen by simply driving wrecklessy, missing a red light, or speeding in the eyes of a policeman. The radar shows you nearby police cars, so you know when to act they way you should, and obviously terrorising the public earns greater attention.The cities are great to drive around, and the inclusion of a Cigarette speed boat at your house in Miami makes crossing the harbour even more fun. You radar shows your position, and pressing pause brings up a large map. Another great point is that most objects are destructable, so no "boring" settings are to be found.A large on-the-side feature is the Film Director, and movie creation feature. You can review entire missions, planting cameras at different angles and heights, along with "thrill cam" motion blur, and slow motion, save it and upload it to Xbox Live.One grievance in my opinion is the lacking number of cars. I feel that a game like this is let down by the fact that it you drive down one street, and may pass three or more of the same car type. I don't believe that it should be as varied as PGR2 but something to a similar calibre would be more impressive. I guess you can't complain when they are giving us three real life cities to drive around in as well.When all is said and done, I think that it definatley is up there with GTA3 and Vice City, but Driver's claim to first place is let down by the monotony of the cars, as well as the police and civilians, who seem somewhat less clever than the you may expect.

I am going to try to balance out all the negative reviews.OK, the controls and AI of the on foot sections are dodgy and leave you thinking just what could have been if this area had been done properly. However, the city driving sections are the best I have experienced on any platform. The three Cities are graphically incredible, a little glitchy at times but then so was GTA III and Vice city, and the destructible car models are truly brilliantly realized. I can understand the disappointment of some gamers, however, I can honestly say that Driv3r has some moments of sheer gaming genius. These moments aren't that rare during the undercover mode and exclusively concern the driving sections of the game,especially the chase sequences. By the way, those who moan about the lamp posts should simply try harder to play the game properly. Of course your car will be wrecked when hitting a lamp post, they are concreted into the bloomin pavement.The Car handling is far better than Vice City and provides a much more realistic feel to the exhilarating chase sequences and the in car perspective really revs up the excitement.To sum this game up, it is quite simply not as bad as everyone seems to be saying. I found it very disappointing in parts, but absolutely brilliant in others. This game delivers the best car chase experience ever and for that I highly recommend it.Overall, on foot sections included,I would give this game 3 and a 1/2 out of five, but i can't so i am going to give it 4 stars (based on the driving sections).Cheers for reading.

It's true that the out of car handling is poor, but easily overcome.Despite the overly negative reviews by gamers who either are immersed in GTA stylke unrealistic driving (and I do liek GTA, just not to exclusion of all games), or are frankly bad players (one reviewer here mentions TWO cities - he obviously couldn't make ti to istanbul, there are three...), this game is worth persevering with. It is very similar in gameplay to it's predecessor - so if you found driver 2 too difficult, with some crashes causing instant mission fail, then so be it, ignore this.But if you loved driver 2 for assuming players actually have to play seriously, and having decent longevity - then this is more of the same,with better graphics (although miami is the weakest of the three cities, not enough textures), use of varied weapons, and far better car handling and damage. some tesne car chases through nice above and below ground, a lot of firing from moving vehicles, and istanbul is superb, if a little difficult on the sharp turns through the ghettoes...and as a sidebar for whoever eidts hese - note AGAIN that Topp 500 reviewer darkjedi6969 has once again just cut and pasted from review copy elsewhere, then added a biased preference at the end.

I have not played Driver 1 or 2 but I have played this one. The graphics are good but not superb. Sometimes it is hilarious because civilians jump off cliffs and policeman bounce on the hoods of their cars. There are three cities, Miami, Nice and Istanbul. Out of the three Miami is the best. There are lots of stunt opportunities in every city which is good because the cops normally go flying often doing about twenty barrel rolls before landing. There are lots of cheats, such as unlimited amm and invicibility. The mission mode is good but it is very hard. The first mission you have to chase a profilic gangster. The crimes that the gangs commit are co-ordinated by Jericho, the man you're trying to stop in the game.In the last mission you have to chase him, with on the back of a train, while you are in a car. Overall this is a very good game for anybody, especially people who like car chase games.

I am very dissapointed by the negative feedback. I have brought driver 3 off this actual site and i must say its a good game. You can do lots and the graphics are great. Yes the vehicles are not much differnt from gta e.g. boats ect but people are being to harsh. When you run over peoople they actually go over ur car like real life and unlike gta where they just fall over like stick men, and the explosions on driv3r really set an atmosphere.This game is perfect if u like drivin in all types of cars and you like killin cops and surrvillians for no real point.People really underate the on foot in the game aswell. Yes it can be glitchy but only a bit and the graphics are also good for the characters.The weapons look real and i promise you this game is a must buy.So all you moners look threw the bad a realise the damn good points of this game.

This Game is an incredibly amazing game. The storyline is impressive, the graphics are superb and gameplay is outstanding. A masterpiece has been born. Players take control of tanner, a undercover cop of the FBI and a premier wheelman has been sent to infiltrate a global car theft ring. This takes you to three different cities. First Miami, home of South Beach and Tanner. Next Nice, France and Istanbul, Turkey. In order to do this there are 25+ missions to do. With the usage of cars, motorbikes, trucks, boats, weapons and the ability to swim. Completing these missions is more and challenging since there are so many ways to do it. There are lots of features including free roaming the city and mini games.Believe me when I say this.... This Game is a Don, a tru Masterpiece.

I brought driv3r for my xbox and like any other major title the hype for it was to much, people shouldnt criticise the game if they blimmin aint played it. Yes it has a few glitches but many of the good games do ie. getaway and vice city , tell me the problem ppl. Controls are a bit hard to get use to but isnt that the whole point in a new game your not suppose 2 be able 2 get use to it by clicking your fingers. I havent had much time 2 play driv3r but what i have saw and played over first few missions it seems 2 me 2 be a pretty decent game. It also has a good storyline unlike GTA n GTA vice city which the storylines are somewhat cartooney , driv3r reminds me of the getaway and that was a good game which got knocked !!!!thumps up

This is the best game ever made(belive me!)It is cool the graphics are unbeleveble!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!you will never get teierd or frustrated with this game.And the cool thing is if ya got the game to have bit of fun you can go on drive around mode were you can pick a car, boat, van, or lorry pick a city either miami or nice and you can go for a drive around you can even cemit suiside by jumping out the car window at full speed or by jumping of your boat and drowning or even by standing in the middle of the road and getting knoked flying by a car.You can even get out of the veichle and hyjack another one.this is what I think about the game.GRAPHICS 9/10GAMEPLAY 10/10ENTERTAINMENT 10/10TOTEL29/30

Well finally reflections let the dog outta the bag and release a game that doesnt only look amazing but is the third instalment of possibly the best game out on the playstation one. Being able to get out of the car was featured on driver 2 but weapons were not. Weapons consist of the grenade launcher,the shotgun and a variety of machine guns. The ability to crush cars up until they are nothing but a pile of rust sounds like fun and being able to drive artic lorrys means that you can throw those rubbish lorry games in the bin and start looking foward to a really fun gaming experience.

This game is a very good game but the only few things that are bad about it is when you shoot some one or run them over you don't see any blood and I think thats boring. The graphics are good and I like it when the cars blow up.If you press l1 and r1 when your going over a jump it makes it go in slow motion.Also you can swim which I think is a good thing because you can get away from the cops and get a speed bout and run them over which is good. I think this game good.

i cant say much becuse i got this game but the problem is i have a xbox 360 consle not a normal xbox so when i put this into my xbox 360 consle it said that i have to update it. For people who are going to by this for your xbox360 be warned.I whent to my friends house and whent on it on his ps2. The game is great you can do what ever you want.fun 10/10guns 10/10evrything 10/10

You people must be reviewing the wrong game because as far as im concerned i have the game and i love it! its great the graphics are nice and gameplay is challenging and great. PEOPLE BUY IT YOU WONT BE DISSAPOINTED ESPECIALLY GET IT FROM AMAZON FOR 30 POUNDS THATS GREAT DEAL....dont listen to the other people who said its not good.Take it from me im a game master

Driver on Xbox is going to be the bestest thing to happen to Xbox so far. After its huge success on the playstation it has come back after 2 years from the release of Driver 2. With even more new missions and gameplay. Also new multiplayer modes.This is a game you simply have to but today.

If you enjoyed Max Payne and like driving cars side ways then this is the game for you. Cut scenes are so good I bothered to watch them, game is easy to get into and great fun.
