Let me first explain the background to the `The Conduit'. The development was completely self-funded by High Voltage Software to prioritise creative control, with the hope of entering a partnership with a publisher, which SEGA eventually filled. SEGA distributed copies and advertised to the public to a reasonable achievement; to date 500,000 copies. Fast forward a couple of years and High Voltage have finished the sequel and once again SEGA are at hand to publish it, although after seven weeks out it appears SEGA have fallen short. SEGA has shipped a mere 45,000 in seven weeks; its predecessor had sold almost double that in its first week.Reports suggest that SEGA was operating under a contractual agreement and to put it bluntly, they just don't care. Whatever the reason for the lack of investment, it appears the lack of advertising from SEGA has screwed High Voltage Software; who have already laid off half its workforce.Graphics -My primary console is the 360 as I personally believe that Nintendo has pigeonholed the Wii to females, children and basically to anyone who stereotypically isn't a thoroughbred gamer. Not only this, but unlike Microsoft and Sony they don't operate quality control over third party software which sees the way for low budget games to drain the cash cow that is the Wii. Luckily for the few surviving hard-core gamers who own a Wii, this problem isn't an issue here!Despite the performance capabilities of the Wii the graphics are impressive, and this owes to the efforts of High Voltage to improve upon its Quantum 3 engine. It easily competes with rival Wii titles and personally I've seen worse on the Xbox 360 (Heroes over Europe). Without stating that it's the best graphics that a game on the Wii has to offer, it will not disappoint in this category.Gameplay -Without spoiling anything, the first message to any potential buyer is that you will find understanding the story a little hard if you never invested in the first instalment. Although don't let this put you off as I would consider purchasing the original anyway because it is equally good fun.Other reviews sum up the game play very well; the script has much more humour than the original as well as better level designs. However shortfalls are made in the AI as it is largely inconsistent but after time studying the game mechanics, it appears as though individual character AI struggles when the Wii processor is pushed in later levels. Although this doesn't render the game unplayable, and could even be considered helpful in more difficult levels when you are quite simply outmanned. Although nothing can be said for a stealthy approach to the game as this needs working on!Whilst the game has a humorous script, it is also contains a few twists, much like Conduit 1. Without letting much known to you, High Voltage clearly wants The Conduit to be at least a trilogy by leaving a plot open whilst concluding another.Furthermore to the gameplay depth element is the character customisation, like the Call of Duty's, as online (and off) you can modify load-outs by purchasing weaponry with in game credits. Overall the game is great to play and will leave you wanting more, even though Conduit 2 isn't quite as polished as the original, big advancements are made over Conduit 1.The fact that High Voltage had to fight SEGA for a later release date (Christmas 2010 to Spring 2011) justifies why certain glitches were present but already High Voltage has begun releasing updates. If you bought the Wii because you thought the Wii Remote was intended for shooting rather than stroking a pony, then this is a no-brainer, buy now and put it next to Call of Duty 4!!

Alright, well this is probably the best wii shooter if not wii game out there. It builds up from the first games story and it gets REALLY interesting. As we know, the first game looked REALLY good, Nice soud effects (although voice acting maby couldv bin a little better) and felt good too, and it had a nice little online multiplayer which there arnt many of in wii shooters. But this one includes all the things from the last game but better, and even has more things that wernt in the last one.Multiplayer-Now, apart from online play is split-screen, You can play up to 4 players on the same console in all the modes available online (Deathmach, CTF,etc.) and even a survivel mod where u play co-op to survive against waves of enemies, each wave harder. MANY maps for all the multiplayer modes (online & Split-screen) to choose from. And also dont forget the customization!! As you play online or even the story mode, you will get money to buy weapons (many more added since first game) , gear, and a larg variety of cosmetics! Than after you done buying your stuff, its just to edit one (or more) of you 4 loadouts that you can swich between in-game with the stuff you bought. There is even a nice system, that after maches, you gain xp for what youv done, and than can lvl up!Singleplayer-Now this continues right of were the first game left of, Ive got to say it is pretty short, but while it lasts it is pretty fun. They even added really nice boss battles at the end of most stages!! There are a ton of new weopones for use in single player and multiplayer, my favorit is the phase rifle, Its a energy, sniper rifle that when using the scope you can see targets that are behind walls, and if you have them in the scope long enough for it to lock on, it will phase through the wall and hit the target, with a high percent chance of one shot, one kill._______________________________________________________________Well, thats what Ive got to say so all in all if you have a wii, and like shooters, GET THIS!!

The NINTENDO Wii is not the most powerful console, quite the opposite in fact. No matter, it enjoys most of the best designed games, games that, above anything else, offer great fun. And CONDUIT 2 is an excellent example of this.WHAT YOU SEE IS NOT WHAT YOU GETAs expected, although impressive for a Wii game, the graphics are not the game's strong point. The backgrounds are very artfully done whereas a lot of work seems to have gone into the graphics as well - however, the overall visual result is nothing to impress a gamer with some PC experience. Nevertheless, only a novice would allow this to prevent him from enjoying the game.THINK WHILE YOU SHOOT (NOBODY ELSE WILL)The creative level design more than makes up for what the graphics lack.More often than not there are multiple possible routes to your objective. Pair that with enemies driven by an AI with the IQ of Forest Gump, and you have an FPS where it is fun to explore the expansive map and try new approaches.FIRING ALIEN ...BUGS & POULTRYThe game offers a selection of weapons, from the futuristic shotguns and sniper rifles to alien...creatures (which are the most interesting by the way). Controlling your character will take some tweaking of the Wii-Remote sensitivity but once you get the hang of it the fun begins. Just make sure to master the controls by the time you reach the first boss because boss fights offer a much greater challenge.WHY SO SERIOUS?Contrary to most FPS games which strike serious tones and dwell in gloomy environments, CONDUIT 2 is a much more playful game. If it were somewhat longer (expect 8-10 hours of gameplay) and it sported a more challenging AI it would had been perfect. Having said that, I have to make clear that rarely had I had more fun playing an FPS game.RECOMMENDED!

A big improvement over the 1st game - it's still let down by poor writing and voice-acting (though both are better than the original) - everything else about the game is much improved. The dull corridors of the original are replaced by varied and attractive environments, and much more interesting layout of levels. The irritating ankle-biting little enemies are much reduced, though you will still encounter some - the egg-sac spawn-points are almost gone - most of the time you'll be fighting the much more interesting human or humanoid enemies, along with a few decent boss-fights.Using the ASE is much improved - none of that tedious searching around for invisible switches anymore - and best of all,not a single ghost-mine in the whole game. The controls are still great, the weapons are good, the mulitplayer is improved.Throw in a pretty good but short "on rails" section, and you've got a decent wii FPS, which is a much better game than the original - if only the campaign lasted a bit longer, and they could get someone to write a decent script for it...

This game is perfect for any gaming situation (for fans of fps and sci-fi games anyway), you can play locally with your friends, play online with 12 other random people or play the unique campaign/story mode.I didn't own the first game, but it didn't take long for me to catch up on the story of single player. Whenever my friends are round i will play co-op invasion and competitive with them. The online mode is very unique and the developers are constantly fixing various glitches when things go wrong.I have bought other games since buying but still keep coming back to it anyway.I also think that this game did not get enough advertising, which is why sales aren't great, and i think this was completely unfair,as high voltage have put a lot of work into this. It also got ridiculously unfair reviews from IGN etc.THE BEST FPS FOR WII. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Ok where shall i start? Ok the online multiplayer is good but it is very laggy and glitchy but it is very fun. My account on the online is [JVC]AirtimeAlso there are many clans on this game so if you want to play wars find a faq.Okay thats the online out of the way. So the story is a saga carrying on from The Conduit 1. No bad swearing as im conserned only a 16 because of violence. Decent characters and gameplay very good. This game could do with a polish which im sure they will do but i say get this game definetly.

The gameplay is fantastic, as it was on the last one, and the addition of an arcade-style wave-based element in 'Invasion' is great, but the storyline is still waaaaaaay toooooooooo shooooooooort! Also the voice-overs in the game have been changed, and completely ruined any perceptions created by the last game. But would still highly recommend this game if you got any form of enjoyment out of the predecessor :)
