I have to say I have more praise for this game than I can put into words. Being extremely overweight when I first used the Wii fit, helped me exercise without leaving the house as I didn't feel comfortable doing so. I knew the Wii Fit Plus would be great for me as it came with the long awaited "my routine" workout. Once I started my workout with 19 yoga and muscle exercises and aerobics, the Wii Fit Plus helped me lose 20 lbs off my pre-pregnancy weight. More importantly it has also helped me gain confidence to want to exercise more. Now I have joined a gym and I go between 3 to 5 times a week. I still use the Wii Fit for the muscle and yoga exercises before my workout and I use it occasionallyon the weekends depending on my weekly gym visits.Thankfully the Wii fit plus was released so I could carry on with my fitness. After having my baby, I had all sorts of problems due to pregnancy. The gentle yoga and muscle exercises helped with the back and pelvic pain I was dealing with. If it wasn't for the exercises that targeted the pelvic area, I know I would still be suffering from pelvic pain. Now I suffer only the occasional back pain when I have stretched wrong or my mattress needs rotating; otherwise, I can say I am pain free where my back is concerned. To the person who is overweight and not sure that you can do this, you can. I was extremely unfit and I would only walk to work and to get groceries. Even then, I had to take things slowly and use pain medicine regularly. It wasn't easy the first time I use the Wii Fit, but as long as you give yourself a day or two recovery time after the first time you use it before you get into the rhythm, then you will be fine. It is also important to stretch before and after exercise, this will help minimize the chance of injury and release lactic acid you've built up during exercise. Once you've stretch post workout, your muscles will not ache as bad. I neglected to do the cool-down my first few times and I really suffered until I realized that cooling down is essential. Since I started on my weight loss journey through pregnancy till now, I've lost 85 lbs (including pregnancy weight). At least 20 lbs of that is due to the Wii Fit Plus.If you would like to know the workout I do/did, here is my entire workout on the Wii Fit Plus. My routine: Deep Breathing, Tricep Extension, Half moon Pose, Sun Salutation, Triangle, Chair, Palm Tree, Cobra, Bridge, Crocodile Twist, Jackknife, Downward-facing dog, side lunge, Torso & waist twist, (I use the chair as support for the following exercises: standing knee, single leg twist, sideways leg lift, single leg extension), and warrior. Then I go to aerobic screen and do 10 minutes hula hoop, 10 minutes boxing and the step plus. For cool-down, I do the sun salutation, warrior, deep breathing and 3 minutes balance breathing. On gym days I do everything except for the 10 mins hula hoop/boxing and step plus as I do an 45 mins to an hour at the gym plus walking to and from the gym (almost 5 km/3 miles)For the next game, I would like to see that the aerobic exercises to be added to the "my routine." It would also be nice if we could select to turn on or off the trainers additional info and encouragement. The trainer would be more helpful if the trainer would give more accurate feedback during certain poses as they are hard to see if you are in the correct area when your head is suppose to be down.

Wit Fit Plus has 15 new games which are as follows:1. Perfect 10 is a game where you use your hips to hit numbers in which to reach a total. This is good fun and will test your body and mind co-ordination.2. Cycling is done by walking on the balance board and you steer with your Wii Remote collecting flags. I found the cycling ok but prefer the cycling mode in Wii Sports Resort.3. Rhythm Kung Fu is abit like the Rhythum Boxing only alot harder.4. Driving Range is done by standing on your Wii balance board sideways and you swing the Wii remote like a golf club. I found this event to be the weakest out of the new ones.5. Segway Circuit is brilliant fun as you race around poping beach balls!6.Bird's-eye Bull's-eye is a real laugh in which you flap your arms like a madman to fly around, and you have to land on the targets for points.7. Snowball Fight will test your reactions and throwing skills.8. Obstacle Course is great fun and you feel like your running around a Mario level!9. Tilt City is very enjoyable in which you guide these colour balls by tilting your Wii remote and your weight on the balance board towards their matching colour pipe. By matching the colour balls with the same colour pipe it will set off a firework.10. Rhythum Parade surprised me as I was good at it and enjoyed it too. I was waving my Wii remote and Nunchuk in perfect timing on my first go!11. Big Top Juggling is a very hard rhythm balance game.12. Skateboard Arena is fantastic with it's jumps and stunts.13. Table Tilt Plus is a good challenge even for those that have mastered the first one.14. Balance Bubble Plus I completed the whole course on my first go which was mixture of skill and being very lucky.15. Jogging Plus has new routes to un-lock and observation skills!Other great things about Wii Fit Plus is the Multiplayer Mode in which you and your family or friends play games together. Each player takes turns with the Wii balance board and Wii Remote, and simply change players when prompted. There are three more Yoga and Muscle Workouts to try. You can practise your balance test games which test your Wii fit age in My Wii Fit Plus menu ( door ). There are five new balance test which are a bit tricky. Wii Fit Plus tells you how many calories you have burned off and you might find it useful being able to set yourself different fitness routines. All your data from the first Wii Fit game is carried over to Wit Fit Plus which is most excellent indeed just like this game is really!

I'd bought Wii Fit in the summer following the birth of our second child and, predictably, spent the first two months using it religiously before my enthusiasm gradually waned. So I bought Wii Fit Plus on the spur of the moment just after Christmas and it has reignited my enthusiasm. If you don't already have Wii Fit then you only need Wii Fit Plus as it has everything the original does, and more. Wii Fit Plus is a great addition if you feel you've exhausted Wii Fit or if, like me, the honeymoon period is over. The 15 new games in Wii Fit Plus are great fun and it has additional features which give you more information about how much energy you'll be using while playing them.New yoga and muscle exercises also feature. The addition of the calorie counter is a welcome one, but I'd query how accurate it actually is. Still, it's a good guide. You can also choose a food type as a goal to burn off that many calories. I find my bowl of rice (220cals) takes me around 1hr 15mins.Wii Fit Plus gets past the clunkiness of Wii Fit which sees you doing one exercise, finishing it, choosing another, doing that, finishing it, choosing another... My Wii Fit allows you to string both muscle and yoga exercises together in your own workout programme. It even tots up how long the workout is likely to take while you're creating the routine. My Wii Fit also contains a dozen suggested workouts which combine games/aerobic exercise and yoga or muscle exercises to achieve certain goals e.g. a trimmer figure, target hips & thighs, relax. As a fully paid-up member of the 'I loathe exercise' club I can testify that Wii Fit Plus doesn't feel like you're exercising and has enough fun and challenge to keep me coming back five (yes, five!) times a week. No wonder that baby weight has fallen off me...

If you're considering buying this as the "game only" option, then you're almost certainly an existing Wii Fit owner. As such, Wii Fit Plus is just about worth the price Amazon are charging as an upgrade. But this is definitely version 1.5 - as opposed to 2.0 - if you catch my drift. The headline points for me were:- it transfers existing user profiles from the original Wii Fit, so you won't lose any data.- it has 15 completely new and quite original new games. This time around there's a mental as well as physical element to some of the challenges: not sure if that's a good thing for my part - as it made me feel older! The new games are probably better suited to kids than the previous version. For example: standing on the balance board flapping your arms pretending to be a duck in flight! Not exactly a serious pursuit, but then the beauty of Nintendo games over the years has always been that daft element. Incidentally ALL of the former content is retained (with a few minor enhancements) so you can still play your old favourites.- perhaps most usefully of all, Wii Fit Plus gives an estimate of calories burned after each activity (this has been added to the old exercises too, not just the new games). What hits home is how few calories you burn even on the more strenuous exercises. So the bad news is you're probably going to spend at least half an hour on the thing to burn off one packet of cheesy Quavers.Bottom line: if, like me, you are a fan of the original game you will undoubtedly squeeze even more fun out of this update. On the other hand if you're looking for a serious fitness product (which I most certainly wasn't) you are far less likely to be impressed and may wish to seek out alternative Wii-compatible fitness software.

Are you dubious as to the credibility of the Wii Fit in its claims to help you to lose weight and gain the body you have always dreamed of? So was I! But I umm'd and ahh'd over the last few years since the release of the original Wii Fit, so when the new Wii Fit plus came out I was certain that I wanted in on this fad, to see if it was up to anything special. SO I eventually gave in and purchased the Wii Fit plus, along with balance board. As I am writing this review my boyfriend is puffing and panting away to the jogging game. You see, there is a wide variety of games and activities on this disc some requiring the balance board, such as the cycling, hula hooping, many yoga and muscle exercises and all of the balance games, but some, including jogging, require just the wii-mote (with or without nunchuk).I have been using the Wii Fit Plus for about 5 weeks now, and although I have only lost about 4-5lbs, I can really tell that my body shape has changed, some of the lumps and bumps have disappeared or lessened, and my attitude to exercise has increased exponentially. I now exercise every day using a variety of different Wii games, workouts and strategies. It is fun and really makes you aware that different exercises target different parts of the body. Plus the balance board has a cute personality and really helps with fun tips, hints and encouraging motifs that really make you want to workout every day, even if only 30 mins. :o)

I already had the Wii, balance board and the original Wii fit, so it was probably inevitable that I would buy the Wii Fit plus. It contains the same exercises, plus a few more; and I really like the new ones. I also like that all exercises are open straight away, instead of having to open them by completing others first.Having said that, I do have a couple of minor niggles. In the original, the jogging exercise had a set course, but you could deviate by following the dog. In the Wii Fit Plus, you follow the dog by default; it's almost impossible not to. I'm also disappointed that they don't have a few more options, as I would have thought that they could easily have packed a couple more different circuits onto the disk.I also think that the calorie counter is bit irrelevant; it shows the same values for a given exercise, whether you work hard or take your time. I'm going to say that it probably is not that accurate. However, I will say that this is a great game for all of the family. Yes you can work on this on your own, and it is a good way to get yourself moving. But it is also a lot of fun to share with others, and kids will love it. I would suggest hat it is not going to give you a sculptured body, but if you combine this with a sensible diet, it is an easy and fun way to watch your weight and improve your physical condition in the comfort of your own home.

If you like Wii Fit, you should love the plus model. Some of the extra games are excellent (snowball fight is a personal favourite), but what is really impressive is that it is like Nintendo have listened to customer feedback; they've certainly fixed a few of my gripes about the original. Your history transfers over as well, so you are not starting from scratch again which was a good touch. The addition of activities which use the board and the Wiimote together was a very pleasant surprise (Snowball fight!).One of biggest concerns I heard/had about the original was it was actually hard to use it to have a "proper" workout, I rarely got sweaty unless I did some of the aerobics, whereas some other fitness programs I've used you set a time length &/or objective and sets the exercises accordingly & you get tired! Wifit plus doesn't go that far, but you can set a routine of your favourite/useful exercises and it runs straight thru' them without all the messing about switching menus etc. that means you cool down...... still it more towards the fun aspect than the serious workout, but there are other programs for that - this is one you would use everyday & enjoy it! All the new games seem to be more of a workout than the originals; a ploy on Nintendo's part? If so, go with it, and you get fitter whilst having a lot of fun. Highly recommended.

This game is great with levels varying in difficulty from super straight forward (so much so a young child or likewise could play them) to levels and exercises so difficult that I am aching and panting well before the end. If you forget about your score on some of the harder exercises and focus on form and what the on screen trainer is actually doing then you will get a very good work out. Or if your just playing for kicks you can do certain things to tilt the odds in you favour (your workout will obviously suffer a little if this is your aim). The Balance games are great in particular for people who don't understand complex games or ones with button presses.Whilst most of us can understand complex things some people are really not so lucky. And for them this game offers more than 1 game they can do and really enjoy. It is also simple for those who are not that into games, they can be introduced to things harder than they would normally try if it has been built up and is a great way for getting them used to pressing the A button etc.I have no criticism except that including extra sensors a la ea sports active 2 would have made exercises such as the Bird dog (aka arm and leg raise) more exacting and as such at present one has a dilema of whether to aim for high score (but less of a workout) or to aim for form and forget about score.

When you love something, it is often a mistake to try push it a stage further to make it better. This is one of those few occasions when the sequel really is worth waiting for. When you first load it up, it picks up your existing save file and adds it into the new save file so that you don't lose your original Wii Fit data. The new Wii Fit Plus contains everything that Wii Fit does, except it is bursting at the seams with new fuctionality. The new multiplayer mode makes playing as a family even more fun, and if that's not enough, when playing in training mode it is simple to switch users without having to go all the way back to the plaza with the help of the brand new 'switch' button. This is a massive PLUS on the original. The new games are excellent and some require the use of the balance board, wiimote and nunchuk at the same time. So much fun for all the family to enjoy and compete together.'My Wii Fit Plus' allows you to customise your own workouts making this a fantastic cross between Wii Fit and the good parts of 'My Fitness Coach' & 'Jillian Michaels fitness ultimatum'. You can even count your calories here, not just what you burn (which is based on your personal body weight), but also what you consume.Overall, this is the fitness game of the year.... and there have been so many. Can anyone better this? I doubt it!

I'd start by saying that if you have the previous Wii Fit, this isn't worth the upgrade at the full price - there are some new features, but nothing worth buying it new.I like that there is a calorie goal function that tells you when you burnt the equivalent of a particular food, and the new balance games are fun enough. You can also set up your "My routine", which is a set of exercises to do one after the other; but on the other hand you can't have more than one routine saved at the same time (this would be useful to aim at particular muscle groups each day, to leave them the time to recover).I personally got mine second-hand and I'm happy to have done: in 3 weeks or so I've lost about 4 kilos, even though I don't always have time to exercise; although I do other activities and not just this. One great feature that was added in Wii Fit Plus is that you can choose exercises which are particularly aimed at certain parts of the body (such as the triceps and the waist) from some pre-set ones. I am quite fond of it as I'm trying to get more toned triceps and a thinner waist. :)So far it's going well, bar some days when I ate a bit too much the day before, and the activities are fun enough that I can keep going without getting bored. All in all, I'd recommend it; but I'd look for used ones. ;)Read full review...

If you already have wii fit, do your best to get this game as cheap as possible, because it's not worth £19.99.To be honest, before I found out what was on wii fit plus, I was hoping for lots of new aerobics, yoga and exercise patterns. This was quite disappointing, as there are only 3 extra exercises and 3 extra yoga activities, with no extra aerobics. I was really hoping for more on the step part, but oh well.I nearly didn't buy it, but there are 3 things that did:1. There are 15 new games. They are good. Really good! The graphics are excellent (of what you would expect from wii fit), they are really imaginative and fun. You will need the nunchuck a lot more often though.2. Finally a calorie counter!Although I think it gives a little too much credit for some activites, for example, breathing burns off 2 calories? Probably not.3. You can have a fitness regime, just pick a load, and get right into it. You can even set up a calorie goal!2 other interesting features:-I like to play with another person, flip between us, which is long winded in the old one. Now it's instantaneous.-They have features that concentrate on goals, eg if you want to warm up, select lunge, jogging etc.All in all, if you don't have wii fit, buy the plus version , definitely. If you have wii fit already, get it cheap!

I bought this for my wife who is 76, and myself at 78...., an unusual Christmas present! We are both using the balance games and general fitness items. She may not have lost weight yet but her shape is definitely improving. I never knew that I have a balance problem till now, so I am working on this... My Wii age moves between 56 and 78 and my wife from 56 to 75.Given that blokes tend to be more centred and self-disciplined - like following the Atkins Diet which seems impossible for the ladies - I guessed that the 'compulsory' routine would draw her in. I was right. She has been dieting for years, slimming clubs etc. She cheats. Today, she was celebrating because she is beating me on the balance exercises and that is great. So, she hardly misses a day now.I cannot get used to the need to be barefooted and I can't stand on one leg and balance but no matter, what I am doing is also slowly changing my shape if not my weight, yet. I miss more days but I am working on long walks each day, whenever weather permits. I also work, filming sports events, pantomimes etc and this is quite tiring. Our grandchildren are very supportive, our children are bemused at our antics. They can't do ballroom dancing either... This machine is well worth a try.

Already had the Wii Fit game, but I am very happy with the upgrade. All game scores and data from the Wii Fit were transferred to the Plus game on first install. There are some new features I really like:1. approximate calories burned - so motivating! I am also now thinking twice about reaching for that biscuit!2. 12 pre-set routines, approx. 5-10 minutes each. These can also be combined to fit time available.3. Random yoga and muscle routines - you set the time (5 minute increments) and the Wii recommends a number of exercises to fit4. easy access for favourites now sorted into three categories: frequently, recently and rarely.5. it is now possible to access the balance tests already unlocked for practice outside the "body test".this is helping already with the wii fit age. There are some rather challenging exercises here. There are some additional yoga and muscle exercises. No new aerobic and balance games compared with the wii fit (i would have really liked more step routines) but there are 12 additional mini games grouped under a new "Training Plus" menu. one of the other reviewers has already provided a list so I won't repeat it. I have only done a couple (love the Rhythm Kung-Fu), but it seems a good selection.

I got this game for Christmas, and have been playing it since. If you already have the normal wii fit, it transfers all of your data, so you don't have to start again. The game has the same layout, but with several new options:-my wii fit plus: where you can organise workout programs, set goals and view your favourite and least favourite activities-training plus: in this option you can cycle, skateboard, do kung fu, juggle and drive to name a few. A lot of the activities use the nunchuck. Also there is a new jogging mode, where you have to keep track of everything around you for a short quiz at the end.-simple test: this is a short version of the body test, which takes under a minute.-multiplayer: you can play with friends and familyInstead of just putting people on the wii fit plus, you can also put babies, cats and dogs on there to keep track of their weight. The fit piggy can now count the calories you have burnt that day, and tell you what food that is equivalent to. To make it quicker to swith profiles, there is a switch button, which saves lots of time.Wii fit plus is really fun, and much better than wii fit. I would recommend it to you if you enjoyed wii fit.*****
