The second you open the box you know that Mario Kart Wii is going to be one special game. It's traditional Mario Kart and the best way to play is as always multi-player. The game design is brilliant and you can have moments where you reach a peak of excitement approaching the finishing line way ahead of your friends only to be destroyed by the host of novelty weapons that your friends use against you. The online mode is excellent, 12 players can compete online whether they're your friends or a seasoned random from anywhere in the world it adds an extra element of competition to the game and allows the joys of the multi-player mode to be recreated all the time.Having always been a fan of Mario

If I had have seen this wheel less version I would have purchased this over the normal package. The wheel is a gimmick, you don't need it at all.To start with my 5 year old liked the wheel but I got him to try it with just the Wiimote and now he wont swap back (his hands are too small for the Nunchuck option - see below).In actual fact its best to race with the Wiimote and the Nunchuck (as its much easier to control your vehicle when doing tricks in mid air or pulling wheelies when biking...these maneuvers give you speed bursts - drive well enough with using these techniques and you can even get a star grade rather than the normal E to A grades).Be smart; save yourself some £££'s with the Solus

Mario Kart for me is the second best game to come out on the Wii (after 'Zelda' of course). It has everything that a family will need, as it enables you and three other people to compete with cars or go-karts on many different race tracks and win the cups and unlock more levels. My personal favourite was Rainbow Road, even though some concider it the hardest I found it the most fun as the danger of dropping is constant. Would definitely recommend this game for any game lover and it is a must buy if you have a Wii.

I am not a huge fan of racing games but this is probably one of the best ones out there. It's very addictive if you play with friends or online. I played it using a gamecube controller as I don't have a wheel and I don't prefer using a nunchuck if I can use a classic controller. You can participate in races or competitions such as popping other characterss baloons or collecting more coins. Highly recommended.

I bought this as a game which we could play as a family. My boys aged 5, 8 and 9 love playing and it has provided many hours of fun. We often play as a family and usually end up rolling around on the floor laughing. It really is a classic and for me the most enjoyable family computer game. I like the fact that it has a clearly defined end point and therefore doesn't go on forever. Brilliant fun.

What a brilliant game Nintendo have come out with here. So many new tracks added with some of the old ones in the mix (from the 64 console). Lives up to the five star rating I've given it. More characters to unlock, more tracks to unlock, more challenges and most of all...so much fun. Careful though, it can take out many hours from your life because time flies when you're playing this.

You even don't have to like driving games to enjoy this game because it's not even like driving! You get so caught up in the race and the typical Mario aspects like the banana skins and the characters that you forget that you hate to play driving games. Also, if you love Mario, you will love this game! Hours of entertainment for all of the family :)

The superb Mario Kart is just fun all around, everyone joins in, even my 2year old, loves steering the wheel like he's in his own kart!!!Hours of fun guaranteed, with afew surprises designed to spur you along, like the surprise cannon that gives you super speed for around 10 seconds!!!Whooo Hoooo all around...from my older boy!!Great Buy -

This has to be the most played wii game that we as a family own. It's great for the whole family, ranging from age 5 up to 105!! I'd personally recommend buying the steering wheels with it but you don't need them to play (just my preference) It has lots of levels and different characters you can unlock as well as tracks and powerups too.

My husband and I had an old wii which we dusted off one rainy day and let my son play on it. He thoroughly enjoyed it and being vehicle mad we thought we would buy him Mario Kart. He absolutely loves the game and choosing the different characters, tracks and vehicles. He has had hours of fun playing it.

Excellent game in wonderful condition. I had this game a few years ago and I had to get rid of it, so when I brought this game a few days ago I was pleasantly surprised that it's super easy to control and I still get mario kart road rage when I don't win. Very fun and a great game for multiple players.

Excellent game - was bought for 7 and 3 year old grandchildren. The graphics are good and the instrutions easy to follow. Several tracks and characters to use. Great FUN for all ages. Very easy to use and hours of fun - I just need to master the controls and I'm sure I will beat them both.

My son waited a while for this game, but has loved playing it everyday since! Children seem to really love this game, probably because it is quite easy and imaginative so all friends can play without a huge back story or complicated sequences. The children go back to this game the most.

Good fun in multiplayer, although I don't think I'd play it single-player much, other than to unlock more tracks. This isn't a big improvement over Mario Kart: Double Dash on GameCube (which can also be played on Wii), but is as entertaining as any of the games in the series.

So much fun for all the family.The kids all have Xbox's and PS4's with the latest games but we missed playing this.Made the mistake of selling our Wii a few years ago. Missed this game so we bought another and now we're back on the sofa playing against each other again.
