I very much enjoyed this workout Game, its as easy as popping the interactive DVD (Dry Vengence Disc) into your Wii and away you go! I lost over £5s over the course of the 16 weeks using it thrice weekly. Before using this I couldn't even do a push up! partially through unfitness but mostly because my stomach was longer than my arms. Its like having your own unpleasantly rude personal fitness instructor in your living room. I used to avoid doing exercise as I assumed that it was for people who cant afford computers but I certainly felt the benefit, I appear to have deposited multiple 'calories'.What nobody else seems to have mentioned is also the excellent nutritional and diet advice that Mrs B offers. Its worked wonders on my bowels, my stools are less dense, less pungent and I seem to sweat a lot less during the ordeal - meaning more workout time with Mel ;). Incidentally my buttocks feel a lot more toned and don't chafe or squeak as much when I walk - I cant quite crack walnuts with them yet but I can slightly damage my nephew's action figures.I don't follow the nutritional information all week, at the weekends I still treat myself to takeaways from McFastfoods and Dough-Frisbee Huts - but the results have still been amazing. She also seems to invented something she calls 'Kickboxercise' which would be a nice cool down after you've just played 'Icebasketfootsnookerball'.Sometimes the game is frustrating as Mel's hideous voice makes her sound like an impatient farmer waiting for a pint, as she sets about butchering the English language with her own unique inventions such as "Yer" instead of 'You'. I occasionally found myself shouting "WHY DON'T YOU DROP THAT ATTITUDE MEL? IM DOING MY BEST!" as she smugly announced that you appear to be having trouble - just loud enough for the neighbours to hear.Mel B occasionally wins the epic battle against her face and forces a smile which is ironically when she seems the most unhappy, she's probably saved it for a special occasion like the apocalypse, Mel's hardest workout seems to be forcing her face into anything other than the look of a bouncer eating a lemon whilst being told that the removal men accidentally drop their fridge onto their cat.Interesting fact - Mel B's middle name is Janine. Write that down and amaze your friends and furniture at parties.I picked this over other celebrity 'stop being so darn fat' DVDs as Mel B hasn't traumatised me with dramatic story lines in Soaps. I could never forgive Natalie Waterman for breaking Ian Beale's heart and I couldn't forgive Sonia from Eastenders for moving on with her love life after her curtain-sporting partner Jamie was hit by a car.So go out (or stay in, or both, I don't care) and buy this game! And a Wii if you don't already have one, or else the game is basically a very expensive frisbee or coaster.Thank you for slimming me Melanie Janine Brittlescarf!

I was at first a little wary of buying this game, as I am not a great fan of Mel. B. However the game itself is very good. When you load the game, you have to fill in the usual profile stuff (ie name, weight etc) - I liked the fact, that you have the option not to view your weight (always good!). You are then asked, which area you want to focus on (ie tums, upper body, all over etc), you can also also choose a second area, if you want. If you choose two areas, you can choose what percentage you want the exercise plan to work at, e.g - 60% for tummy, 40% all over body. It then gives you a series of exercise plans to choose from such as 'Bikini body', 'drop a dress size', 'busy mum'and the location you want.It also asks you what fitness equipment you have available. You have a short warm-up. I found this rather annoying, because after each exercise, Mel B pulls a silly face. You then do your work-out, mine was 30 minutes, but you can change your work-out time. I did find some of the exercises rather tricky to master at first, but they got easier. After completing your routine, you have a 2 minute cool-down. At the end, Mel B, asks you whether the exercise routine was set at the right level for you. Beware of this, as I told her I found the first routine too easy and the next time I used the disc, the routine was very challenging! As well as your 'personalised' workout, you can choose different workouts (either fitness or aerobic) or customise a workout from the different exercises. There is also a 'challenge' section with different exercise challenges. Please be careful with this one, I did the 'abdominal challenge' and hurt my neck. Though having said that, I should have checked the 'Practice section' out first. There is also a Nutrition section, with some very good recipes. On the plus side, the graphics are great, the exercise routines are good and the music is modern. On the negative side, despite asking what equipment I had, they weren't used in my personalised workout. I had to do a separate 'fitness' workout for this. However, in conclusion it is a good exercise aid and will certainly get you fit.

I bought this for the step routines as the Wii Fit step routines weren't taxing enough. I've had a quick look at other exercises but this review is really about step.Pros* The step routines are real workouts which do make you exercise.* The practice options help with learning the different steps and exercises.* You can choose custom workouts and select the steps you want and how many you want to do. If the set you've chosen is shorter than the time you've set, it loops. I really like this bit.* I didn't mind Mel B's encouragement or voice even though it's quite repetitive at times. Did other people not see her name and picture on the front?Cons* The music isn't always in time with the step - I would have thought this was basic. When Mel isn't in time with the music either, you know you're not just getting it wrong.* You can't tell when to start, no count down, no beep so I'm always behind or ahead a fraction until I can see and match with Mel's feet.* The scoring stops before you have and when you finish a routine and know it's your highest score, it knocks 1% off on the stats page. Didn't anyone test this software?* I don't particularly like the menus, it's clearly for multi-platform and you don't use the Wiimote like you'd expect but it's OK once you've used it a few times.* The stats and awards are lame. You can't track your weight (or at least, if you can, I haven't found it).* I'd already got the Fitness First step riser and thought this would include using it - it doesn't but, to be fair, I didn't check. I'm still finding the routines quite taxing enough!I'm glad I didn't pay lots for it but I do use it and it is good exercise.

I've been using this for about a fortnight now, three to four times a week. I've combined this with eating a prescribed amount of calories and fat each day and some weights on the multigym for toning. My weight hasn't dramatically dropped (i didn't want it to) but i am noticing a loss of centimeters already. It was easy to set up, and it offered some realistic goals, like wanting to drop a dress size, etc. I did find I was being presented with the same routines alternately so I altered my goals and that gave me a different set of workouts.I did make the mistake of trying one of the challenges one day and I was aching afterwards it was pretty tough,i expect i will retry it after another couple of weeks.I don't find Mel B annoying i think she is quite sedate and there is quite a lot of encouragement built into the workouts.I have purchased a number of other Wii workout games before include EA Active and My Fitness Coach and i've found this one holds my attention more than EA Active especially, which i found very good but boring!I would highly recommend this as an exercise product, I am enjoying it and will hopefully keep it up.

I got this exercise game about 6 or 7 weeks ago now and I've been using it usually 3 times a week, I haven't actually noticed my self to be more toned or lose any weight, but I'm hoping this will change if I keep to a better diet too. Overall the game is good, you can set your goals, I have changed them once already to see if the exercises change and some do. I put in that I have a resistance band and a gym ball and they are included in the workouts, however it does say that the game is also compatible with a step but there is no option to say you have one for this to be used in the workouts, this really annoyed me! In the awards there is one to climb the eiffle tower or some other big building using a step but I've no idea how to do this.It also doesn't say anywhere how often you should do the workouts to reach the goals you've set.

I wholeheartedly agree with the other reviewers. I too wasn't sure if I could 'put up' with Mel B but I'm so glad I got past that. I have been doing this workout 5 nights a week for the last 6 weeks, I set my goals to all over fitness and killer legs and did a 60 - 40 split.I can already see results, my skinny jeans feel and look more like straight leg jeans and my muffin top has all but gone! I've increased my work out time to 45 mins as my fitness levels improve. I like that you can change the goals and that it gives you awards and charts your progress as you go. The workouts themselves are varied and as they change from day to day it's not boring, personally I like the step, dance and fight workouts. If you say that something was too easy Mel will make you work harder next time round.I can't rate this game highly enough.

I have never written a review before of any product but felt the need to shout about the Mel B fitness video. It is fantastic! I had been toying with replacing my gym membership with a range of Wii products, I have 5 other fitness focused dvd's and this is the best by far and has influenced my decison to ditch! The exercise variety has been key, having now done the second exercise after selecting it was too easy the first time round. My body is aching and I have been pushed to my limit. I feel I really have a personal trainer in my front room supporting me in achieving my goals! Graphics are great and the programme runs swiftly with not much delay caused by having to make additional selections etc.Good one Mel, you have achieved much in your life !

i was stuck between this or Zumba for the wii. This seemed more accessible without needing belts for the controllers etc. having now had it and used it for a couple of weeks, I love it. It lets you choose why you want to workout, let's you choose certain areas of the body. It has a daily workout but you can also do challenges. You can change the time on some workouts. Some of the positions don't quite get the controllers sensor bar but I know I'm doing the workout. I've only had a couple not pick up on the sensor though.you can change the level and it asks on every new workout how it was(as it will then change or stay the same next time)overall, for a general workout, this is great. And so easy to add into a busy day.she needs to do more :)

Very impressed with the range of workouts and difficulty levels and customized workouts. I have been using it for the past 2 months on average about 5 days a week and have noticed a difference in weight and size. I was a little weary of purchasing based on some of the reviews especially concerning the exercises not registering properly. Having used it I realized that when the exercise doesn't track properly it's because you're not doing it properly - namely adjust your stance, arm placement, speed etc. Once you get the hang of it, all the exercises track properly. Would definitely recommend.

As the other reviewers have commented, I was also wary about buying this as I don't particularly like Mel B but this is actually a really good buy and much better than other fitness games that I've purchased on Wii. The exercises are varied and get more challenging, the more you do it. You can select a style of exercise depending on what area of your body you want to improve and how much time you have. Yes, the silly faces are annoying and it can be a bit slow loading inbetween the exercises, but on the whole, its a much better game than I thought it would be and would definitely recommend.

I found this Wii game brilliant for the whole family. You can set a profile for each individual member of the family and it keeps a record of all your workouts and progress. You can set each workout to be timed for whatever length so if you just have a quick 15 mins spare you can count down for this time. There is a lot of variation on the workouts or you can set your own with the things you personally like to do. I think this is brilliant and it shows how many calories you have burned and the effort you have put in on each individual set. Great fun for all ages!

Mel gives you a good number of varying exercises, that are neither easy nor hard. It is good to keep up with her.I found it irritating that during some exercises she told me at least four times to make sure the Balance Board was pointing the right way. Seriously?!! During a workout? Four times?!Some people were annoyed by the weird faces she supposedly made all the time: well, this is only every now and then, and not so weird at all. OK, her accent is quite strong, but hey - it's Mel B!

Ordered it on the Friday afternoon came on the Saturday morning, not really a great fan of Mel B, but she has a great body so thought I would give her Fitness (Wii) game a go, you can chose what areas of your boby you want to concentrate on. I have only done the fitness game 5 times and my bum, tum and legs are killing me, but in a good way, if you know what I mean.........Would recommend this game if you don't like going to gyms or fitness classes with other people there, it's great...

I read many reviews before purchase, l have for last 2 years worked out with the EA active programmes and was concerned this would be to young for me however it had the best overall reviews so l thought l would give it a go l may only get 78% acheived on some programmes and 48% on other but the adjustment option at the end ensures l push myself. At 53 l feel this is a excellent programme to increase my fitness and weight loss.

This was a surprise, it's an older game and I have a Wii U, but in the winter months I don't like to go out in the cold and the dark. I'm a wuss. But I do like fitness games on my Wii. I bought this one since it uses the Fit Board and I love step aerobics and it does have great step moves on this game, better than the EA Sports Active but I also have really enjoyed the other workouts. This is now my favourite fitness game
