I found this game unusual at first, as most ds games give you help from the start, but unless you have a quick glance at the booklet that comes with it, you're kinda on your own for a bit! When I got to grips with it, I found I couldn't put it down. The only down sides were that 1) I didn't get much sleep! and 2) It isn't a very long game, I completed it in about 8 hours. (But that was constant playing!)I got a bit lost in some parts, so had to check with a walkthrough to get me back on track. This however, is more to do with my lack of gameplaying skills rather than the difficulty of the game. I would recommend you try it, because I was totally engrossed for the entire time I was playing.

As a newbie to nintendo games, I was first attracted to this game by the title, but had no idea what to expect as there was no review at the time. I was immediately intrigued by the snippets of information given in clues, the lateral thinking behind the use of some of the items found in searches, the mini games and the progression of the storyline. There is no time limit on any of the games until the very end, so you are free to tap away to your hearts content to find your way through the castle. The finale started with a eureka moment followed by a surprise magical fight, ending in a real twist to the story! Enjoy!

I bought this originally because the artwork and description of the game was rather catchy. I was not disappointed with this game but please be warned that you can complete it quite easily if you are an adult.Objects are easily found and games are not too difficult and if you do get stuck you can tap your fairy friend and she will help you out. The only thing I personally found annoying in this game was that every time you enter or leave a room, the game automatically saves itself. Other than that I found this game to be excellent fun and would recommend it highly.

I bought this game on the strength of other reviews and I was not disappointed. The only reason I gave it 4 stars and not 5 is that throughout the game you have ample time to complete the puzzles, but when you get to the final 'confrontation' not only is the puzzle a lot harder than previous ones but you have a time limit too. It would have been better to have the game puzzles gradually increase in complexity and perhaps introduce a timed element prior to the final one, but overall I found the game addictive enough to keep me playing.

I am a 36 year old who enjoys puzzle games, and I have to say I really enjoyed this. A good selection of puzzles, some trickier than others, a simple help from within the screen and a map which shows you when you have completed all the puzzles and collected all the items in each room, with quick navigation between rooms, rather than needing to keep going over old ground trying to work out what you are supposed to be doing. Completed it within probably 10 hours or so, but really enjoyed doing so.

I really enjoyed this game. I found some of the puzzles a good challenge and others I could complete quickly enoughnot to feel hopeless. Needed a little help from a walkthrough to find those pesky fireflies but they just weren't where I expected them to be. I liked the storyline and the fact that you had to take notice of the written notes as some were clues to solving puzzles.I enjoyed this more than the Professor Layton games I have. It's also keeping my husband occupied.

I am in chapter 2 of this game and stuck already!Aimed at 7yr olds - they could probably suss it much easier than me!Am currently accessing walkthrough web page for help.....Otherwise great graphics and good game. I just completed Titanic; hidden mysteries, which is very short to play, this has much more to offer and is challenging and gives me a change from the Jewel Quest games that I normally like playing.

Would have had 5 stars but it does save after EVERY move. This is unnecessary and extremely frustratingOtherwise a very good game which really keeps you thinking. Almost as good as Leyton, although I think I have had the last of these as they are now made only for the 3D DS. Very unfair as there is no way I am buying one just to play these games

I love these games, although some of these types of games aren't so good on the DS because the graphics are a bit 'foggy' this one, however is great. You work through a story finding things you need to unlock the next room, or things you need to complete puzzles and mirror fragments to unlock the Witches Curse. Hard to put down once you start.

I thought this game was great fun.The puzzles are easy but you do have to think a bit to navigate through the game, however it is all very manageable and so quite satisfying. I like games that I can complete and it does not have any of those super challenging bits that rely on speed and stealth in order for you to move on through the game.

Obviously professor layton is the leader in this field but this is a good game with some interesting and challenging puzzles. not much of a story and the ending is a bit sudden but the graphics are quite good. Giving it 4 as a comparison with the aforementioned Layton.

Very pleased with this product, arrived within 2 days of ordering, great little game, it is difficult to find games for the original Nintendo that are not silly kids ones

It's a great game, I have only started playing and am stuck at the moment, the story it great finding the hidden object is quite hard but so far I am enjoying the game

I love this game and will definitley play it again; good value for money; had to use an on line cheat twice but otherwise I managed evenyually to sort everything out.

Bought this game for my DS enthusiast wife, appears to be very pleased. I would write more but she is very engrossed in playing the game, so it must be good
