This kettle does exactly what it is meant to do. The whistle is a bit quieter than I would have liked, but it does work. What I find strange is the maximum filling mark - it is on the outside of the kettle - and the kettle being made of steel does not let one see how much water is in the kettle. A better idea would have been to have said not to fill it further than the inside of the spout. This does what it says on the tin, and at this price how is the manufacturer making a profit?

this kettle was a gift which they requested a 'stainless steel whistling kettle'.It's a good size, looks very nice, and is high shine. It states on the supplier box stainless steel but it does feel lightweight.Maybe stainless steel is not as heavy as it used to be?I'm sure this will very nice in my friends new house.

i was pleasentley surprised when it arrived because it was not sold as new but it was as good as,nice size good quality.
