I’ve been looking to get one of these ‘OneBlade’ trimmers for a while, as I like to keep my facial (and other) hair in check as best as possible, but have yet to find a single device that I would feel does all the aspects that I would want it to cover without having to resort to other devices - such as the proper shaping and edging of a bear for example. This OneBlade Hybrid Body and Face Trimmer from Philips claims to be such a device, and so far in my use I have been relatively impressed. The box initially confused me as the way it had been packaged implied that there were actually two blades with one in a ‘Face’ section and one in a ‘Body’ section. One of the blades was clearly more fancy-looking at first glance,so I just assumed that I needed to use them both. It turns out that the ‘fancy’ blade just happened to be wearing one of the clip-on attachments directly on the blade, and the second blade was purely a spare. There are 4 size attachments as well, to help with grading your hair, and the attachments are easy enough to pop on and off. I might have preferred a clearer method of grade indication, perhaps a coloured dot or something. This model comes with a travel pouch which is handy to keep all the bits together. A hard case might have been more sophisticated, but I’m ok with the bag approach. The charger is the usual Philips affair, which is a shame as I was hoping that more bathroom-style gadgets might be switching to micro-USB or USB-C as a more universal and forward-thinking approach to charging. There is a charge indicator on this model, which is useful to give you a clue as to when it’s running low.In use, it’s actually pretty good. Whilst it doesn’t offer the super-precision or wet-shave closeness that a naked blade is going to get to, it is pretty decent, and which I have found I like the most about this thing is that it’s quite small and doesn’t block your view, which a lot of beard-trimmers do suffer with, so you can actually get a good steer around your face and see what you’re doing. The big downside to this sort of product however, is in the consumables. The blades come in at around £10-14 each if bought singly and they are suggested to last around 4 months if used regularly. This could soon add-up so be careful not to overdo it. They are a bespoke design so there are no alternatives or after-market cheaper heads that you could use.For a price of £59 (at time of review) for this pack which includes a spare blade, 4x trim grading lengths and two comb-attachments plus a pouch and charger, that feels ok for what you’re getting. This product would suit anyone who didn’t particularly like (or have time for) wet shaving but wants more precision and control over their facial hair styling than a more bulky trimmer would afford them.

Hello everyone,I am writing this review as I absolutely love this product, a few disclaimers before I start. I normally rock a styled stubble look as I have very sensitive skin, turning red and getting cut at even the first look of a razer!I bought the one blade as I always love to try new products. It’s remarkably easy to use, it feels good in the hand, and it cuts perfectly. I originally bought the one blade pro which has a few more features to it, but I actually returned it for the one blade face and body version. This version is small and extremely portable and does an excellent job.First shave experience:Faultless, like many other lads my skin turns red predominately around the neck area, shaving with the one blade, I had no issues. It really is perfect. I am fully shaven, ready for the day/night ahead in around 5 minutes with no irritation whatsoever.Battery:This version now comes with a lithium polymer battery, which allows for consistent power delivery; one of the reasons why I originally opted for the one blade pro. It lasts a hell of a long time and takes a significant amount of time to discharge while on standby.Blades:Not much to say here. Sharp, protective, easy to replace albeit a little expensive.Durability:Water resistant, foam/gel compatible. Love it. I will never buy trimmers/ shavers which are not resistant to these elements being that the very objects are designed to be kept in the bathroom.Cost:This bundle is fabulous. Comes with a plethora of accessories. I don’t think you’ll have any complaints in regards to what comes in the box.Packaging:Some might question why this is a topic in my review. Well the plastic that comes with many products, not just shavers, takes a chainsaw and a degree in mechanical engineering to get into. This came in sturdy cardboard, very easy to access and dispose of if necessary. Really enjoyed the unboxing experience. Conclusion:I tried to make this review snappy and concise, containing information that I personally would find important if I were purchasing a product like this. To conclude, I don’t have any complaints, my only gripe would be that it would be nice if the blades were a little more affordable and there was a battery indicator on this model. However, that is what differentiates the one blade pro to this model so its an understandable missing feature.* * * * *5 stars from me.All the best,A satisfied amazon customer.

If you are specifically wanting a proper clean shave then this is not a product that will benefit you, however if you are looking for something that will deliver and quick and decently close trim, then definitely consider the Philips OneBlade. There are several models of the OneBlade available for your choosing: 'QP2630/30', 'QP2530/30' & 'QP2520/30' which are all very similar, except the 'QP2630' has all the attachments whereas the others have less; typically going for this model isn't much extra, though you can purchase the extra body & skin guard attachment separately). I used to own the 'QP2520' but recently upgraded to the 'QP2630' as I lost the charger, needed a blade replacement and wanted the extra attachments, getting them all separately was a similar price to buying a new full set which luckily was on sale at the time. There are other models available: 'QP6510/30' & 'QP6520/30', these two have a different design and allows you to adjust the length of the trim with a multi-length comb attachment rather than having several separate attachments. Have a look to see what is most ideal for your requirements.I have been using the OneBlade for several years now and it has certainly grown on me the more I used it and whilst I will always prefer a wet shave with the 'Gillette Fusion 5 ProGlide', the OneBlade is my go to for a quick and efficient trim without needing to worry about having shaving foam/gel.I do find this to be effective on the face as well as around the body and it does it comfortably (no tugs, pulls or cuts), however, one area this is NOT suitable for is the scalp (dry or wet) which I've found to be uncomfortable to use, so I will always go with the Gillette for the wet shave. The blade lifespan is rather good with the recommendation to replace them every 4 months based on two shaves per week, though I found that sometimes they last for even longer (guess it depends on how much you shave also). The connection part of the blade isn't overly strong but in the several years of owning this product, I have only ever broke one which was entirely my fault dropping it on a hard floor.Overall, definitely a product I would recommend. Makes a good addition to have alongside a wet-shaver so you have the "best of both worlds".

If you can look past the price tag, what you’ll find is a great – and although it’s a cringy thing to say – innovative razor / beard trimmer.I’ve used and reviewed a bunch of manual razors, electric razors and trimmers. I seem to sway between having an almost clean-shaven face and then revert back to having a short beard (about 6mm in length). I do this partly because I’m lazy, but mainly because I’m fair-haired and suffer from razor burn on my neck when I clean shave (regardless of the brand/model of product used). However I find I’ve suffered zero burn with this. This is great at cutting through the beard, but also letting me ‘keep’ the shorter beard when I choose (albeit at 5mm length with the heads I’ve got in the set).I can essentially use ‘oneblade’ to do the job of two blades/razors. I find the physcially act of shaving far less cumbersome than using a beard trimmer, and it’s way more precise. It makes for a better experience. The blades are just as easy to repplace as any manual razor blade model you’ve used in the past.(For the record, I’ve used it a couple of times elsewhere on my body, but i don’t like things too shortly-trimmed “down there”, so i won’t be using it often for anything other than my face. If you want to use it on the whle body, you might to consider the QP6510/30 model, which sadly I’m yet to get my hands on.)The stats claim that each blade lasts up to 4 months if you have two full shaves each week… I rarely have full shaves, so I’m only my second blade after almost 6 months (again, because I’m fair-haired)… if you’re a hairy beast you will likely go through these quicker. It’s charging time is accurate… about an hour per full charge, which will easily cover a weekily shave routine. The soft pouch is pretty standard but does a fine job of keeping everything together for storage. The main benefit with this package are the extra blade and the combs, which clip on very well and don’t fall off – and they do exactly wat they’re designed to do.Very difficult to find anything that is a flaw… would highly recommend this to any guy who regularly shaves/trims their face and body hair.

I’ve needed a new clipper for a while now - my style is stubble, bordering on beard - sharp, but not long enough to curl. My last was an adjustable length clipper, though it suffered from horrendous battery life and wasn’t waterproof, plus the guard snapped meaning trims became uneven eventually. One Blade should be the answer to my woes - and to a degree it is! You can go for 1, 2, 3, 5mm trim - or clean shave for the look you want, meaning it’s great for a quick trim, or a complete change of look after a month of beard. I should note you WILL need a two prong razor plug converter handy to charge this unless your bathroom has one, though you may be too busy admiring the compartmentalised eco-packaging as you unbox! While I don’t shave with cream or gel,I splash my face with water before trimming, and the trim is precise with each stroke, meaning fewer overall strokes, meaning less irritation. This comes as a relief, as the constant strokes in different directions from my old clipper left me with itchy dry skin. It doesn’t swivel or tilt like some razors, but can’t be too fussy.Unlike my old one it feels premium - rubberised grip for shower use, ergonomic design, and razors and guards clip into place and release easily for changing. The colours... don’t exactly blend in with anyone’s bathroom interior. It’s a strange choice to go for, and doesn’t reduce the quality of the product in any way, but... lime green??Philips has thrown in a travel bag to carry around the One Blade, with a pocket for each guard length. It feels crunchy and cheap, nothing but an upsell - but at least it’s waterproof. It’s a nice razor! My lines are clean, and trimming has become more of a pleasure than a task.As for body hair contouring, I haven’t trimmed any other body hair and don’t intend to - I am who I am! If I ever become Mr Universe I’ll be sure to update this review with my thoughts.

The Philips OneBlade is an almost perfect razor for me.I rarely grow beards so I am generally clean shaven. I have tried all types of wet blades and oils and foam. I've tried numerous electric shavers too. None have ever been perfect.I suffer from sensitive skin and when shaving with wet blades it can cause my face to become red and sore, not to mention the odd cut. Although without a doubt my face was smooth. When using electric it can also cause razor burn and the results are never as good as a wet shave. When I first tried the Oneblade about a year ago now I was amazed at how my skin felt after shaving. No irritation at all.And the finish was almost as smooth as my Gillette blades especially if you use shaving oil or cream.Although even when used dry it gave impressive results. You look clean shaven but if you were to feel your face you can feel stubble. However the major downside is although Philips claim the blade lasts for 3 Months I have not found this to be the case and man are they expensive to replace at £10 a blade!!!I find the blade deteriorates after about 6 weeks or so and that's not shaving every day. Then you notice it starts to pull a little although it still cuts just have to take a lot longer. The handle is very sturdy and well made. The charge lasts a long time and is very quick to recharge. It is very easy to replace blades and this model comes with a handy travel pouch. For beard trimming purposes it comes with various guides which are also easy to fit. Although the one I used the most in my previous model is not as secure as it once was. Although to be fair it has never fell off in use.If the replacement blades were cheaper then it would be 5* product no question.

I was a little surprised to find the shaver packed in a plain cardboard box rather than a more typical retail presentation box. I'm not sure if this is just for my review sample, however. As for the contents, the box includes the OneBlader shaver, a OneBlade for the face, a second OneBlade for the body, a stubble comb for the face and a series of 1, 2, 3 and 5mm comb guides for body hair trimming. The comb guides snap onto the (face) blade which, itself, clips onto the razor and is released by pushing the green lever forwards. The body OneBlade is used along for 3mm hair trimming. It can be used wet, including in the shower, or dry and a 4-hour charge using the standard 2-pin charging lead supplied, provides about an hour's use. The blades are said to last for about 4 months which, if so (too early to say for our household), makes it quite economical. The razor performs well as a multi-purpose OneBlade shaving system for face, neck and body. It provides a smooth and comfortable facial shave, shaves under-arms easily (tested by a myself - husband refused!) and the additional combs are good for shaving other body areas including the back of the neck, beard and 'tache trimming to leave a little 'designer stubble' and, for anyone with a short buzz-cut it can also be used for trimming head hair. With its rubberised grip, it's easy to hold without slipping when wet and the small maneuverable head is easy to follow or angle into facial and body contours. For travel and storage, a drawstring carry bag is included.

For those that are wondering exactly what this is, it's basically a double-sided micro trimmer - a tiny version of standard hair clippers. I mainly use this like a standard razor - without a guard fitted - and on my face it's excellent. It doesn't shave quite as close as a rotary shaver, but it's much quicker, can shave in both directions, and also works fine on a few days of stubble, which rotaries generally struggle with. Battery life is outstanding - I've had this over a month now, shaving 5 times a week, and it's still on its original charge. There are a few negatives though. On long hair with a guard fitted, it quickly gets clogged-up and needs to be manually cleared.Occasionally the corners of the blade have scratched my face (generally when I've been pushing rather than pulling the blade). It also feels quite fragile and doesn't come with a travel case (you can't even buy one separately), so I'd worry about taking it on holiday.Overall though, I'm pleased enough with it that it's replaced my much more expensive Philips rotary shaver as my go-to when I can't be bothered to have a wet shave.

At last a product that lets me have short stubble but gives me a super-close shave on my neck and cheeks for a really sharp and well groomed shape! It’s an incredible shaver - after many mediocre ‘just okay’ beard trimmers they finally made a good’un.The people giving 1 star reviews because the shaver starts tugging after a few weeks of use are idiots who don’t realise you need to change the disposable heads. The disposable heads are the reason this shaver cuts so close and so well without the guard on. It’s so close you can’t feel any stubble at all but this closeness comes at the price of needing to replace the disposable heads. It’s a price worth paying though. There are many different versions of the shaver that comes with many guard sizes and travel pouches and stuff. Look around at the options and get the right one for your needs. I accidentally bought one with a travel pouch and body attachments which I don’t need. I could have saved £10 if I’d known there were a few options.

TRIMMER=========It has lots of sizes. It has some stubble combs (1, 2, 3, 5 mm) + body comb (3 mm) so it's an effective trimmer.BEARD OR DESIGNER STUBBLE=========================I hate the term designer stubble, but that's what it's good at. It produces a sharp, defined. clear edge. And it does it exceptionally well.It also does a super job of trimming beards.SHOWER======I tested it in the shower for waterproofness and it was fine.BATTERY=======I think I probably got about 60 mins before I needed to re-charge it.WHO'S IT AIMED AT=================For the gentleman who likes to be well groomed.PROS=====Good brandWell constructedBattery lasts agesCONS=====I hate the pictures on this page for the product.Especially the one where the man looks down. The replacement blades aren't a great bargain.RECOMMENDED===========It looks nice, works faultlessly, and is good value.

I bought this as a gift for my boyfriend and he was really pleased with this product. The blade design makes it really easy to shave your beard line precisely, also it offers a great variety of length options so you can choose what suits you most. This shaver gives the closest shave he ever experienced, thanks to the variety of adjustments. The biggest plus is the battery life, the display shows percentage to the nearest 5% which is handy. And it is charged really quickly, about 4 hours. All the blades are easily cleaned, removed and replaced with new one. However, the replacement blades are quite expensive. It does the job better than any product he ever used.I highly recommend this product as a gift.Pros: closest shave possible, amazing battery life, quick charge, easy to useCons: expensive blades

First of all, if you are buying this to clean shave then don't! It's not for that so don't whinge when your shave isn't cut throat! The main blade will take you to about a days growth. I've only used it to "clean shave" so far and it's been really good and fast getting about 98% of the stubble. I bought this package Samsung "Philips OneBlade Hybrid Body and Face Trimmer with 4 x Lengths, 1 Extra Blade and Travel Pouch" because new blades are expensive so this advertised as coming with extra blade. It did but it is NOT the standard blade. It's some kind of body or dangly bit blade. Maybe it's advertised as that in the description somewhere but it's not clear that's for sure so just buy thestandard kit and forget this set up unless you are looking to groom the old gentleman sausage.

My usual shaver is my trusty Series 7 Braun which is great for a close shave. I was looking for a more portable shaver to take away on holiday and business and decided to purchase the Oneblade.I am very impressed with the build quality and the effectiveness of the shaver. The save isn't quite as close as with my Braun, however, it provides a consistent, even shave. The thing that has most impressed me about this shaver is the body hair trimming. This product is excellent for man-scaping and is painless and accurate.I'm unsure of the replacement blade subscriptions, apparently, once the blade goes green, it's time to replace it. Rather than the expensive subscription models,I can see you can buy singles or multi-packs ad-hoc on here or other suppliers.Highly recommended.

Absolutely amazing product. It gives you a nice close shave, no cuts and very easy to use. I got this in December as a Christmas present for myself and charged it then. Haven't had to charge it since then and I've used it lots of times. So this definitely has a great battery life. The bag you get is very good to have and keep all your stuff in. I used to lose attachments with old trimmers so this was a good addition.Since using it in Dec, I've noticed no wear to the blades that came with it (I use one for the face and one for the body). They should last another few months. I only tend to shave once every week.It being waterproof is very helpful with getting out any hair stuck in the blade.I can't recommend this enough to be honest. One of the best purchases I've made.

I bought this because it was on a sale as I wasn't sure about it... but needed a new shaver. And actually this really is an awesome little tool... It comes with two heads and some other bits and bobs... but being a bloke I just grabbed it out the box, charged it and then tried it out... It felt sort of like wet shaving but without being wet... and it felt like my old electric shaver without ripping hairs out my face every now and then. In fast it doesn't care how long your hairs are it just cuts them short and without jamming and ripping. you can apparently use it anywhere you like on your body.. you can swap the heads so just remember to swap em if shaving nether regions and then face... ..works great looks great and being a cool green colour feels like a real man tool...
