Purchased a bottle of this to sit within my drinks cabinet; having tried the work of Penderyn previously with one of their madeira finish whiskys I thought it would be at least different and at best excellent. Well I've not been disappointed by this 'Myth' variant the tasting notes outlined on their website read like a mad list of ingredients that a 7year old would come back with after being given 10 pounds for groceries and being sent to the shops... mixed citrus fruits mingling with apple, pear drops and the merest hint of tropical fruits etc. I mean, this is not unusual these days and what we now come to expect, tasting notes so obscure that it is impossible to pin down what the actual expected flavour should be!

I bought this around Christmas time at a reduced rate but have only just worked around to finishing the bottle nearly 10 months later.As you can see in the pictures included in the listing for this product, it comes in a tall grey presentation box with the red Welsh dragon emblazoned on it.Given that most whiskies I drink come from Scotland, it's refreshing to taste such high-quality whisky from Wales (which is also nice, as I live in Wales too!). I'm not a whiskey connoisseur by any means, but I find that Myth is much easier to drink than the normal version of Penderyn. It doesn't have as much peaty taste to it. Instead, it is light, fruity,

I am a great fan of the Welsh whisky being produced by Penderyn. "Myth" is one of the newest additions to the range of whiskies, and it is one of their best in my opinion. The whisky is aged in bourbon casks, which gives the drink a wonderful fruity taste and smoothness. As the whisky is quite light and fruity, it is ideal for anyone who is a little scared of peaty whisky.The whisky comes in a wonderful presentation box in grey with majestic red Welsh dragon proudly displayed on the front, so it's an ideal present for any patriotic Welshman or woman with a taste for whisky, and an unusual gift for someone interested in whiskies that aren't from Ireland or Scotland. Or you could just treat yourself to a bottle!

Got this as an (asked for) Christmas present. I've never had a whisky like this one. So many fruits on the nose fresh out of the bottle, along with chocolate caramel. After 10 minutes, mild toffee notes and rose petals. Tastes absolutely incredible - like tropical fruit juice with spice. I'm blown away by how good this is for 41% abv.Highly recommend. Will definitely pick up their peaty version to accompany this one on the shelf.

Nice whiskey but I preferred the one made by Penderyn that is aged in madeira casks. Unfortunately I bought them both at the same time and the sweetness of the other one was more popular with my family who helped me drink both bottles.I tried what was left of this bottle without having my palate spoilt by the other bottle and it is definitely would be worth the 4 stars in its own right.

Excellent whiskey from Penderyn. This is one of my favourites. Speaking to the chap at the distillery he said this whiskey has been left completely in the bourbon barrels rather than being moved to others as per the original whiskey, it is a very subtle bourbon flavour :)

Bought as a Christmas present for a whisky fan. First impression was that the box and bottle have a pleasing appearance, giving the impression of a premium product. I haven't tried the product but the recipient told me that he was delighted with the taste.

I wanted to try a Welsh Whisky and have to say I wasn't disappointed. Personally I think that there are better out there but you would not be left feeling any regrets from your purchase. I would buy this again and I would recommend you try it.

Bought as a gift for an elderly gentleman, who said it was one of the best whiskeys he had ever received and has not yet stopped talking about it 3 months after receiving it. Fabulous gift and perfect for any whiskey loving gentleman.

Christmas gift not yet opened for drinking so can't advise on flavour. Welsh whiskey is generally this price, but as not available everywhere, so ideal it could be brought online

As it is a Welsh malt my customers were intrigued and delighted with it. Previous one sold out fairly quickly and they are glad to see a replacement.

Went down very well with my single malt whiskey loving husband and his gold mats as they share a small snifter on the tenth hole!!

This, according to my husband is a really nice whiskey. Since he usually drinks 12+ year old single malts that is high praise.

I was always a whisky fan, and then I found Penderyn.They are on another league and have never had a bad tipple from them.
