I had/have the first version of this, which is plastic and very wobbly, this is totally different. Solid, well built and stable, also has thread so can be mounted on tripod. This is going to be very useful for me and will be using it a lot in the future. Lots of pre-drilled/threaded holes which come in handy. The cold shoe mount is also very handy. very happy.

What a great discovery this item was, I have used it to great affect in my boxing videos where motion and flexibility are key. Camera shake is not apparent if you learn how to use effectively, I tend to balance weight on my middle finger from top handle so its not imitating my body movement. Screwing camera to base is rather fiddly but otherwise 5 stars.

Overall a great product nice weight and ease of use.My only gripe was they did not make the base slightly longer as will not take small cam with Extra large battery but still very pleased with this rig.

at lot more stable than the plastic one but i was still expecting something better. maybe i need to get used to it even more.

Solid build. It is heavier than I thought, which makes it much more stable. Really useful equipment. I highly recommend it.

I had the plastic one before, and it was ok ... but this is great! Super solid and heavier !
