The Monkee Grip Tripod was a spur of the moment purchase while I was browsing through Amazon and I am so happy that I have invested in this little treat for myself. Because i love to take photos from my phone it has been the ideal solution to capturing some perfect shots when i have been out and about. The fact is that this is not your standard tripod, It's much better. This Monkee grip tripod, which I love the name of, has the ability to suspend your Smartphone or camera from a tree to take the perfect shot. It's much better than suspending yourself from a tree, and safer. The flexible foam legs have exceptional grip and bend to absolutely any position creating the ability to wrap around stable objects to aid you in your photo shoots. The socket joint is lockable to ensure that your camera is in safe hands and the 360 degree manoeuvrability kept my camera steady for complete panoramic views. I have only had this for 2 weeks but it has been used so many times to get photos of me and friends and family. It's perfect because it means that no-one is missed out of the photo. Now, I love taking photos but like anyone I don't want to carry around loads of equipment. The Monkee grip is lightweight and compact which means that it is easy to take with you wherever you go. This fits tidily in my handbag and is so easy to use it isn't a burden to carry and because this is a universal fit it means that when I get a new phone or upgrade my camera, I know that I will still be able to use this handy gadget. So far I have never missed that ideal shot as I literally take this with me everywhere in my bag. It's my latest must have accessory.Because I was so happy with my purchase I even brought the larger version as a gift for my dad. I have to say it is a fantastic product at such a good price. The ideal accessory for anyone who loves to get those perfect shots.

I had been looking for a present for my boyfriend's brother and wanted to get him something camera related as he is doing photography as part of his degree, but didn't want to spend out loads on an expensive accessory when I myself am very much a photography amateur. So when I stumbled across this tripod from KitVision I thought I would risk it... For £15 I could afford it!Well neither of us have been disappointed. Much to my surprise the tripod has been greatly received and is being used on a daily basis for my boyfriend's brother's uni work. Because the tripod is flexible, a decent size without being over-the-top and of a good quality build,Ryan has been able to use the tripod on excursions and in many different environments. The tripod can be used with a Smartphone, and since we have had it I have used it with my iPhone 5. It is good because I can keep my phone in it's case and the holder securely holds my phone in place. By using the quick release plate it is then possible to attach a digital camera to the tripod by screwing the camera down. Both options for holding the devices in place make it user friendly and non-restrictive.The tripod legs can be bent around all types of surfaces and can easily be bent back when not in use. One thing I will point out, however, is that in the photos the tripod legs look to be light grey and black, when in fact they are purely black - a minor detail and not something that effects the tripod's capabilities.Overall, I am very happy with my KitVision purchase. The tripod is extremely good value for money and an extremely good build. The ability to attach a camera or Smartphone to different surfaces as this can is fun and inspiring.

I bought first the small Monkeegrip tripod because I wanted to take selflies with my new baby and I didn't want to rely solely on the front facing camera of my iPhone because it is less clear. Upon scrolling through the options on the market I settled for this and I do not regret my decision. It is lightweight manageable and very easy and quick to fix up and use which is a necessity having a squirming impatient baby to deal with. The tripod is stable and fuss free with nice feel and quality. You do not feel worried that the tripod will topple over and damage your phone or camera. I have tried the tripod with both my iPhone and my camera and it works just as effectively for both.So effectively in fact that I went and ordered the large Monkeegrip tripod as well so I could use it on my bigger camera... And also for higher vantage points. Which unfortunately the small Monkeegrip tripod could not take the weight off. The price of the tripods are reasonable enough such that getting one of each was not an issue. The tripods are also small and compact enough to easily pack and bring on holidays and they don't take up much space or weight. The wrappable legs are a lot more secure than I expected them to be and the foam grip means that the grip on the phone / camera is strong without damaging or scratching the surface. Also the rubber feet mean that the tripod doesn't slip and stays securely on the surface you are using the tripod on.

Having previously purchased the Smaller tripod from this range for myself I decided to get my dad this larger one for his birthday as he enjoys taking that perfect shot when he walks in the forest. He absolutely loved the Monkee Grip Tripod. You can read my full review for the smaller tripod and it is pretty clear to see that the entire range really does live up to your expectations. As it is not a standard tripod it definitely benefits those who enjoy outdoor activities and find it difficult resting a camera on rocky ground. The flexibility of the foam legs and the additional grip enable you to position your camera wherever you want, even if it is from a tree! The tripod features a lockable socket joint and 360 degree manoeuvrability so that you can be sure your camera is in safe hands when you go for that perfect shot. Since buying this for my dad he has definitely managed to get some better photos and has stopped blaming his surroundings. Now his surroundings are an additional benefit! The compact and lightweight design also means that you are not weighed down by unnecessary accessories; all you need is your camera and this tripod. This one actually fit easily into my dad's back pocket.A couple of his friends and mine have asked us where to get these. I definitely think that these Monkee Grip tripods are something to shout about. A brilliant product from KitVision!

Been using this tripod for a while now. I picked this one up over the Jobi tripod because this one is offered with longer legs and that is ideal for my YouTube channel videos. So far I have shot many many videos with it and I like it. However no one product is perfect so let's point the cons briefly.1. I use my HTC One M8 to shoot videos. M8 has a total width of 70.6 mm and it fits perfectly in the phone mount. However if you have a phone wider then that like for instance Galaxy S5 ( 72.5 mm ),LG G3 ( 74.6 mm ),Xperia Z2 or Z3 ( 73.3 & 72 mm respectively ) then you won't be able to fit it in the phone mount. iPhones up to iPhone 6 should all fit well apart from the iPhone 6 plus ( 77.8 mm ).2.I couldnt find any bigger phone mounts to replace the one which comes with the stand. I asked this question in the FAQ section but no one replied meaning it doesn't exist and its very frustrating. Wish they had a bigger phone mount and I would have given the product 5 stars.Other then that it works perfectly fine. Legs are flexible enough and made of high quality material. Everything else is bolted perfectly well with enough adjustments to use it as your daily driver. It's portable enough to take it with you in your rucksack or bag. All in all a decent tripod. Recommended !!( for the right equipment )

Following on from my recent Bubblescope purchase last month, I have still been looking for photography accessories to take on holiday with me this Summer. Having never used a tripod before I found this mini, flexible tripod from KitVision for a fraction of the price of other tripods so thought I'd give it a go.The tripod is 15 - 20 cm in length so perfect for carrying in my handbag. It's legs can be pushed together tightly when not in use to make it easy to take with me. The legs are extremely flexible and are easy to wrap around various objects / easy to position for taking photos that do not require a flat surface. My Olympus camera can be easily screwed onto the top of the tripod and by adjusting the ball in the socket, the camera can be held securely in place without worrying that it will topple over.I have so far used the tripod to take group, self-timer shots with friends which has been a great laugh. At my friend's recent leaving do we set up the tripod so that no-one was missed out of the party photos! For the price of this camera accessory, you cannot go wrong. I will be taking this tripod with me on holiday and cannot wait to use it. This is a well-made piece of kit and even though I may have not used a tripod before, it is an easy item to get to "grips" with.

I like this bendy tripod a lot. So, it's only 27cm long it's not going to replace your man's tripod. But heck, it will attach to anything, even your main tripod. Goodbye quick-release, your flexible tripod is the quick release! This tripod feels like each leg is a length of wire covered in foam. Simple and ingenious, and reduces moving parts that might otherwise develop faults or get sand in them etc.I definitely prefer this to the well known competition - the 'beaded' competition I could never wrap tightly enough around anything. The Monkeegrip is the right balance of utility and versatility but with one MAJOR caveat (which is why it loses a star): be careful around the quick release buttons- one slip and everything really does detach very quickly - and we all know how gravity likes to pull expensive items to smash on the floor! The length is just right to be grippy when wrapped - any shorter and things might feel insecure, any longer and it becomes an encumbrance. No idea how it performs in wet weather but I suspect it will be fine - and let's face it won't cost an arm and a leg to replace it.

I'm a keen photographer and the majority of my time is spent shooting time-lapse photography. A flexi Camera tripod has become an essential piece of Kit for that quick set up when rushed to capture those perfect moments.I bought one of these to replace my broken gorilla pod, not only is it a lot cheaper, it also functions a lot better. It is flexible and easy to manipulate but at the same it remains extremely ridged providing a strong grip for long periods of times. No matter which lens I have on my camera it has yet to buckle under the weight! The addition of a quick release camera plate is a useful function and not only allows for a quick set up but also means you can remove your camera and leave your tripod set up in the same position..Perfect for shooting stop motion animation or Time-lapse photography!I also prefer the foam legs rather than hard plastic balls of my previous tripod. There appears to be more joins under the foam and a larger surface area allows for a sturdier grip! It's a great purchase and I would recommend this to anyone in the market for a gripping tripod!!

I purchased the KITVision Monkeegrip to use with my Apple iPhone 4, although the fit is actually universal and can also be used with digital cameras or video cameras via the standard tripod thread.Having recently booked a camping trip, this nifty, lightweight and portable tripod was exactly what I was looking for to take away on holiday. The flexible, non-slip feet allow you to balance the tripod on, almost any surface, so you can take steady and clear shots when out and about. It was quick and easy to use, even my 9 year old was able to use the tripod easily. The Monkeegrip had lots of use on holiday, we stood it on a brick wall at the beach, wrapped it round a bench at the park and even wrapped it round the tent pole while we had a BBQ!Although the tripod is small and lightweight, its strong legs provide a firm grip, with the foam covering protecting anything you wrap the legs around. We had a fab holiday and took some great shots using this product. It easily fitted into the back pack and was on hand when we needed it. Affordable price, great product.

Amazing product, can attach it to almost anything with ease, very sturdy as well. I've used it for both my iPhone 5S and my Nikon Coolpix L330 both of which worked brilliantly with it. The weight of the external product doesn't impact the quality of this product in any way. This is exemplified by my pictures of the product in use with it attached to a window.I've had this product for about two weeks now and no fault with it so far other than when positioned vertically no portrait option is available. Although if good photography is something you're aiming for, you shouldn't be doing portrait pictures at all.Not necessarily unfortunately, it doesn't come as seen in the picture, it is all black,so no grey patterns. However, this should not take anything away from the outstanding quality of this product.Lastly, I believe it is a better product than the rival Gorillapods as it's cheaper and feels sturdier. This is a product I believe starting photographers, filmmakers etc should buy.

The KitVision Monkee Grip is a very handy product to have. In the past, taking pictures and getting involved in them while you were out and about meant finding some precarious position to balance your camera or your phone in; not ideal if your camera or your phone is something that you can't afford to lose.So far I've used mine with a Samsung Galaxy S4 and a standard compact camera; both had no problems fitting, which is especially impressive with the S4 as it is a fairly sizeable phone. The flexible legs mean that you can attach the tripod to any surrounding scenery, and get the angles that wouldn't be achievable when you're reliant on finding a secure nook from which to take your photo. The Monkee Grip is also lightweight, compact and the price is very good for what you're getting, definitely things that will come in useful this Summer when travelling or just making the most of some (hopefully!) good weather.

It was a very tight squeeze to get my Samsung Galaxy S4 in the holder, so much so that I decided to take it apart and snip off the ends of the springs that springload it. This made the springs slightly smaller, giving it more room to open up and is now pretty darn good. The standard tripod attachment for a regular camera is good too. It has a quick release mechanism, though with my Canon 1100D mounted on it (not a heavy camera, certainly under the recommended usable weight of 800gms) it appears a little flimsy, and if you tilt it to too great an angle it looks like it might fall over, though it doesn't.I'd give this 5 out of 5 except for the small rubber tab/flap to open up the springloaded holder. It's a little small and fiddly, and also looks like it might break after little use, or after some time when it gets old and perishes. All in all, very happy with this purchase. Recommended.

I actually prefer it to the "Gorillapod" which costs several times the price; the bendy foam-covered legs are far more versatile and with better grip than the shiny plastic jointed balls used by the more expensive product. My only reservation is the plastic tabs that lock the quick release plate in place; I'd have been much more comfortable had they been metal. That said I see no issue if normal care is taken to avoid exceeding the stated maximum load - I tried it with my Olympus E-M5 with grip and 25/1.4 lens (762g total) and it was fine. I suspect the 800g maximum quoted is a fairly conservative "safe" limit rather than the point at which it fails to hold securely. Long, unbalanced lenses are another matter, but that isn't what bendy tripods are all about.Well worth the £8 it cost :-)

Delivered before time. Generally good. Mechanism for flexible legs where it joins mount looks a bit flimsy but as its only intended for phones and small cameras should be OK.It's the phone bracket that's not so good. Whilst my phone, an S2 is not listed as fitting, it's the same size as many others. Although the supplier says most will fit with cover it's a very tight squeeze to get it in. Made worse by the silly rubber grip shown slotted in the middle of the wire frame at the top. It fits in a U bend but the open end of the U is at the rear. Consequently if you need to push your phone/camera in if it's a tight fit, it pushes out leaving just the metal bracket. It also has a tendency to fall out in your pocket or camera bag. Have replaced it with a small diameter piece of rubber tube
