My wife had previously been using an Avent pump but had been finding that not quite to her liking, so has spent the last week or so using this NUK one to see if she gets on any better with it. The answer is “yes and no”. On the one hand she finds it more comfortable than her old pump, but this is somewhat countered by the fact that a) it is very complicated to use at first, and b) even in quiet mode, it’s pretty loud — which often isn’t ideal.There are multiple programmes for different modes and stages in the expression cycle, and whilst flexibility is a good thing, it takes some getting used to. (The machine, that is, when I say “premature”, not the baby!). Our daughter now has a breast pump…but no baby for another couple of months. So, I’m sorry, she can’t yet review it in action.The system certainly has an air of quality. The range of settings is impressive, and will no doubt make it possible to find and memorise the right combination of rhythm and suction. Then it can be adjusted over time. The silicone is very soft and gentle – Mrs Gumby thinks back thirty years and is extremely jealous. Operation with the supplied rechargeable battery will be a significant benefit for use away from home or just when there’s no convenient mains socket. It looks as though it’s going to be easy to clean,

The unit contains a rechargeable battery, charging is by a USB-C connector, rather than the more common USB-B, a suitable lead and a UK USB connector are included; claimed battery life is around one and a half hours, charging time isn't given but we found it was around three hours. This is quite a large unit, I've attached a photo showing it against a Lansinoh unit, and, although the Lansinoh unit doesn't contain a battery, it can be powered by an external battery pack ( the Philips Avent pump is smaller than the NUK and has space for alkaline batteries).There is a large LCD on the top of the unit, it isn't particularly easy to view and to some extent is superfluous as you can hear the pump and feel it pumping,

This pump is a very modern take on what can be an essential piece of equipment.The pump is lightweight and very transportable - it comes with a bag and a single charge should last for three programmes, so it's great to take out for the day. It's not too noisy, just a background hum, and it looks sleek and modern. The screen is clear and responsive, and displays the program details and let's you know how long you've been using it, very handy.It comes with a variety of settings and different programs, so the vast majority of women will be able to find something that suits them. Breast pumps are supportive when initiating breast feeding and for expressing for engorgement or storing breast milk.Hand pumps do a good job but for anyone who has tried for any length of time you will know how tiring it is in the hand.This pump can be used on the free breast when baby is feeding - this is the easiest way to use as your natural “let down” process has been stimulated by baby. It can also stimulate the let down process but if you are sepetated from baby when trying to initiate feeding try hugging their blanket or watching videos of baby as this can help. Once on the pump works away leaving you to concentrate on your baby.This pump is quieter than any pump we have used before (we are a family with lots of breast feeding experience).

Having used other pumps, I can confidently say that this one is absolutely superb. It has so many features that put it way ahead of the competition. The different settings are fantastic to allow you to find the most comfortable and efficient setting to suit you - your preference can change from time to time depending on circumstances of course, but there's a memory function so you don't forget that ideal setting when you find it.It's portable and easy to use in work or on the go and the 'silent' operation is brilliant. It's not 100% silent, but it's certainly a lot quieter than other pumps I've used.I really like the NUK bottles too - this comes with one included. Great product.

A modern breast pump that makes the most of available technology to give breast feeding mums a helping hand.The pump has a lot of features to help express milk, where ever and when ever.Most importantly of all it is pretty small for a breast pump so can be popped in a bag and taken with you- a god send for mums who are pumping whilst at work.It is not silent, but is quiet a sort of hum, so is pretty discreet in that respect.It is strong enough to do a good job, but when combined with a programme that suits you ( have a play around with it and you soon find what works for you and what doesn’t) is comfortable to use.It is easy to take apart to wash and sterilise.

Compact unit and easy to use if outside the home. The wireless use is brilliant and one of the features that makes this so useful. It's not always possible to be in a position to use the mains so no wires is really handy. Does take a bit of getting used to, especially if this is the first powered unit as opposed to a manual pump but it very quickly becomes automatic, once the preferred settings are found. Lots of variations so it takes a bit of trial and error to find what works best but it's so handy once that's out of the way. Highly recommended, especially if this is a first attempt at non-manual pumps as it's pretty intuitive and straightforward.

Having previously used a manual pump this unit has been a god-send. It initially seemed quite complicated but in reality it was easy to work out. It did take a few goes initially to get the setting that suited me best but once this was sorted I was very impressed. Having used NUK bottles before and knowing that the teats on said bottles are excellent and the quality is apparent in this unit too. The fact that it is rechargeable and has a memory function are brilliant. It means that the unit is truly portable. It is comfortable, efficient and of good quality. It is more expensive than a manual pump but well worth the investment.

Mrs C has tried a number of different pumps for the Vine programme and this one is without a doubt, the very best. It is very easy to use. It has a multitude of suction settings, so it is adjustable to your own body. It is small and so can easily go in a bag. It is quiet in use, so you don't disturb people with it. Some may say its expensive and overengineered, but in use, Mrs C was very glad about the adjustability. It is very well made and produced from strong plastics, so can take a few bumps. Overall its a great easy to use product which we are happy to Highly Recommend.

A million times better than a manual pump. The most important thing is that it's very comfortable. This is aided by the memory settings which are great to avoid messy events when you use it again and again (and therefore it's a piece of timesaving genius). Then there's the fact it's rechargeable, meaning you don't need to sit by a wall-socket and therefore you can actually walk around (if you want to) – and this is possible despite that it's quite large. Our final quibble is that it's quite loud, but its still miles better than a manual pump!

This NUK Nature Sense Electric Breast Pump is a well made product and everything that you would expect for the price. The unit contains a rechargeable battery that charges up quite quickly via a USB connection with the cable provided or it can also be used with the mains AC adapter, which is also provided. The silicon cup is soft and comfortable when in use and the system itself has lots of settings to choose from, depending on your preference. I wouldn't consider it silent but I have to say that it is very quiet. A good quality product.

This is a very effective and practical pump that comes with a very impressive number of programmes, making it easy to find a setting that’s most comfortable for expressing.The pump itself is not too big or heavy and, in use, is not particularly noisy so it’s not intrusive in any way. The LCD screen is also a nice touch, displaying how long the milk expressing has been going on for.The pump is also very easy to clean and the fact it can be charged means it’s very portable, this is an extremely ergonomic and well made breast pump.

It has multiple settings for ease of use so you can tailor it to suit your needs and preferences, and even has a memory function. It has an LCD smart screen. It's fairly quiet in use and the silicone cup is soft. It has a USB cable for charging. The teat on the bottle is easy to latch onto for babies.This is a really well made and hi-tech unit and works very well.
