I am mostly bottle feeding my son due to latching issues (born premature) so I am expressing a lot during the day/night to keep up with my milk supply. I am using this Lansinoh manual pump in combination with a silicone pump on the other breast to catch my let down and this is how much milk I am now getting with each session using both pumps. I used to struggle with milk supply and would only produce 5-10 ml due to stress and poor diet. I am now eating a lot healthier and I am less stressed and it shows. I was previously using an electric pump but I have noticed a decrease in my milk supply and I believe it had to do with suction as it was not as powerful as it was in the beginning which is why I bought this pump. And besides, I feel like I personally get more milk using manual pumps Vs electric ones... This pump is easy to wash compared to my electric pump, easy to store as it doesn't have too many parts, it looks neat and it has a strong suction at the beginning which does hurt a little bit but after 1 minute once you get used to it, it's comfortable and it collects a lot of milk. I am now using the bigger Lansinoh bottles to pump/store milk and I have switched from Dr. Browns/Tommee Tippee/MAM/NUK to these as those were hard to wash and took up a lot of space in the fridge. We were also using those to help in terms of colics as he seemed in a lot of pain but after a while his colics seemed to have reduced. I will now stick to just this brand in terms of feeding and storing milk as it looks a lot more organised and baby won't get confused by all the different teats. The Lansinoh teat is soft, it feels natural almost breast-like and it has an anti-colic valve which is nice. I am pleased with this purchase and would recommend this product!

I’ve got an ameda electric double pump but wanted to try a manual for on the go and to see if it was any better/quicker than electric. First opted for a cheap one on amazon to try which was good but started being noisy so after much research I went for this over the Medela. Really happy with it. It comes with all the valves and fiddly bits attached so you just have to connect the bigger parts after cleaning/sterilising. Wasn’t sure at first how good it would be as the suction doesn’t feel very strong but it did just as well as my previous manual with milk volume. It has 2 phases which I’m not sure are necessary and I probably won’t use the let down phase but I like the idea in theory. Also looks nice and the flange creates a good suction. I probably won’t bother using the electric again as this is quicker I think. Also people complain about your hand aching but the the handle is so light I think you’d have to pump for excessive periods to have any issues. You also get a few storage bags which is handy. Great price too. As a bonus it’s also really quiet so far, so if you have to use anywhere where being discreet is necessary then it’s ideal. Additionally the plastic is quite clear so you can see what’s going in and the measurement writing on the bottle is easy to see.

This is a brilliant manual pump, which produces just as much milk as an electric pump if you’re happy to put in the effort.I have the Lansinoh double electric breasts pump which is brilliant, but it is a bit noisy so I can’t really use it at night without disturbing my husband. I’ve also tried using the electric pump in batteries without the cable but it doesn’t work as well so it’s fiddly to move around to different rooms. The manual pump is silent and really portable (aside from having to sterilise it between uses). I’ve even used it in the car (as a passenger of course!) when we’ve been on the motorway meaning I had a fresh bottle for when we stopped at services. The only tiny downside isthat it doesn’t come with a carry case but I just use the one that cane with my electric pump.Overall I’m impressed with how much milk I’m able to pump using this, and relatively quickly too. The only difference is the convenience of not having to manually pump with the electric pump.I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to pump and would suggest trying this over expensive electric pumps if you’re unsure whether pumping is for you.

For 20 quid this is a brilliant piece of kit. I gave birth to my daughter in November and wanted to breastfeed but sadly it didn't work out that way. I still wanted to give my milk to my baby rather than formula if I could, and made the decision to try to exclusively pump. My girl is now 11 weeks old and I am still doing this, thanks to Lansinoh's products. This pump is easy to use, fairly comfortable, and very effective at drawing out milk. I also have the double electric pump but use the manual while at home alone during the week when it's a lot easier to toss aside if the baby wakes while I'm using it (not often, as I said, this pump is so effective I can get minimum 6oz in under 10 mins). The flange that is supplied is the smaller size and I do find the larger one that I got with my electric pump more comfortable; for context I am around an E cup. I am really happy I went with the Lansinoh brand and would highly recommend for anyone looking to express, and especially those in the same position as me - we are badasses, but exclusive pumping is tough and anything that makes it slightly more convenient is very welcome!

So, we are tied into the Lansinoh ecosystem with bottles so when it came time to try a pump we first started with the manual one.Build quality is good and it is finished in the same purple as the rest of the range. Once everything had been washed and sterilised it was time to assemble which was very straightforward. On that note disassembly and cleaning is equally as easy.Once put together it uses a lansinoh bottle, a smaller one for collection. You could use a larger bottle though that might impinge use. There are some sample milk bags in the box too that are very handy.Expression is good with this. You can adjust between two phases (let down and expression)via the little toggle where the handle clips onto the pump. The handle is large enough for easy one handed use and the cone that connects to the breast is a good size. Having tried a few this worked well as a manual and is ideal for travel. though Lansinoh have now realised a compact electric.Sometimes, it gets a bit squeaky, depends on how wet it is from the steriliser I think.Overall a superbly good value and effective pump.

I have tried different brands of breast pumps and electric ones too and this one is the best. It’s easy to dismantle and assemble, it’s very effective (as a comparison I got more with it than with my medela double electric!!), and silent.I like the shield as it has a rubber ring that stick well to your breast and the shield is big enough. When you remove it from your breast the milk stays in the fennel instead of running down your breast. It’s easy to use. The let down phase is very pratical and gentle then you can get a stronger suction once flow starts. For me the only problem was that some mould got into the pump part and even with lots of cleaning it was still there so I decided to throw it.Though having said that it was in my storage for 18 months so maybe that’s why!!I bought the MAM one as it was on offer but I really prefer the lansinoh.. but as I only pump occasionally it’s ok.Don’t hesitate to buy. It is a great breast pump! Never loses suction it seems. And I almost forgot, you don’t need to press down completely, only half way is enough.

As a new mum I wasn't sure whether to get an electric or manual breast pump. I thought I would get a manual one to begin with and see how it goes. I've only used it for 2 weeks and am otherwise breastfeeding, I don't need to use it that often but it does the job. It's comfortable and very easy to use and clean. I am able to express around 90 mls in 20 mins but obviously depends on how much milk I have at the time. I haven't used any others to compare it to but so far I'm happy with it.Edit: I have now been using this for 6 months and I'm so glad I did not bother paying so much more to get an electric pump as for the amount I use it, this is perfect.I have exclusively breastfed and use the pump once a day usually in the morning so I can give a bottle of expressed milk daily as well. It's still just as easy to use, clean and sterilise and what is especially great is that I can take it anywhere with me. I pop it into a ziplock bag if I know I am going on a long journey and might need to express e.g on a plane.

I bought this as it had great reviews and wasn't too expensive, I didn't know how I was going to get on with breast feeding and didn't want to invest alot of money into an electric pump. All my mummy friends had raved about the Lansinoh nipple cream so I guessed this brand knew a thing or 2 about boobs!! Pump is really easy to use, the cone shape is really good for smaller breast as you get a really good seal. I didn't find the 'let down' function much use as I had a really quickly down, but deffinitley good for pulling your nipple out if yours are flatter. The momma bottle that comes with the pump is excellent and the only bottle my son will take, the rest isn't trying too hard to be a nipple and is lovely and soft with a good vent. Also great that you can pump straight into milk storage bags (you get 2 in the set) so less decanting and washing up after. Easy to put together and clean too. Would reccomend to any one.

Really excellent product!! Can’t believe it took me till my second child to discover this. I used the Medela automatic double swing maxi for my first and it just felt like such a chore pumping. Especially after I went back to work or had to travel; the whole malarkey with the tubing, finding a socket, dealing with cables etc. urrgh. I tried it with the handsfree bra (for my second) and it was slightly better but still felt like a bother. So I only pumped when I absolutely had to.The manual Lansinoh however is SUPER quick, easy to use, easy to assemble, dismantle, carry around and is great for big boobs/nipples. Though manual, not such a bother ‘cause I’m done in 15mins (c.100ml from both breasts, more if I pump for longer) - also because I only pump on average once a day. So it’s perfect for that and/or if I need to be mobile eg visiting my parents etc.. easy to carry and store the milk. It’s been a game changer.

I bought 3 different devices, but my wife refuses to try other ones, as she is very happy with this one. As a man I can't comment much, but overall this device feels well designed and as I am cleaning it, I can confirm it is easy to clean as well. :) Manual Madela looks more advanced, but actually doesn't fit breast well. I feel that Lansinoh is going to fit wide variety of breasts. :) We also have electric Lansinoh and hopefully I will ask my wife to try it finally, but she really is happy with this manual one. Sometimes manual extraction (i.e. without device) is even more effective, but I would rather advise to try this cheap but pretty good device. Please try different speed of pumping.Faster doesn't mean better!. :)I would also recommend to buy Lansinoh Breastmilk Storage Bottles (I ordered additional ones), or freezable bags of same company (I didn't try these). They will be good addition to this purchase.

Used this once so far and very impressed. I had a medela swing electric pump with my first child. It was noisy and painful and I felt like a cow. I decided to try a handpump for portability reasons with my new baby and this has massively exceeded my expectations. I couldn't feel it at all in the let down phase and could only just about feel it but with no pain during the stronger phase. Very easy to use in the middle of the night while my baby feeds from the other side. I got 3oz in 10 minutes which I'm very pleased with for a first attempt (I've heard with practice it gets quicker). Now I just need the baby to drink the milk! He currently doesn't like the teat this comes with so we are working our way through our other bottle collection. But that isn't why I bought it so not a negative point.

Finally I found a manual pump that works for me. I bought Tommee Tippee one first as I have several other baby products from them. I used it a few times and it's been a real struggle to get little milk out. Then I bought Phillips Avent as the reviews are amazing. Didn't work for me at all. I was going to give up already and then thought I would try one more and ordered Lansinoh. I can get twice as much milk in half the time compared to TT! And without effort. The suction is great, it doesn't come apart when expressing and it fits really nicely so no air comes through. The handle is a bit bigger than the other two but still comfy and as it only takes about 10-15min to get enough milk your hand won't get tired.I'm more than happy with this pump and can see myself using it every day.

I have been using my tommee tippee manual pump which is 7 years old and wanted to upgrade to an electric, as that one wasn't doing a very good job. After looking at reviews of all pumps I found this one had hood reviews. On recieving it, it was easy to put together and I used it straight away. The suction is great, it has two modes to promote let down then pump more to express. There is minimal leakage onto your breast and the suction but where the air sits is separate from the milk I let, keeping it dry from the milk which is great. Its absolutely silent, I would recommend this pump over any and def wont be getting an electric at all.I don't normally write reviews but I felt it was worth it for how pleased I am with the product.

I've been using this pump for a couple days now, and it's great! I was previously using a borrowed medela swing pump from my sister in law, I was worried this pump wouldn't be as good but it's actually better! manually pumping doesn't strain my hand and it's easier as I'm not stuck to a plug and no noise! It's a great pump! Great value!Update. I ended up using this pump for 4 months manually pumping every feed for my son due to not latching. Went on to purchase the equally great electric version. Now on my second child it's still going strong for the odd pump here and there. Lansinoh has amazing customer service and sent free parts when they developed faults (valve and the actual pumpinside)

I love this pump. I almost bought an expensive electric one but decided to take a chance on a cheap manual one before splashing out, and I'm so glad I did! I actually get more milk out with this than the electric one my HV lent me. The only downside is that when you're washing it, water gets into the rubbery seal at the top and you have to take it off and rinse and dry it. It doesn't come into contact with the milk when you're pumping so it shouldn't really need cleaned very often. I've been using mine maybe 2 or 3 times a week for 10 months and am now noticing the milk output dropping which I think is due to needing to replace the valve. In hindsight I should have changed the valve sooner.
