My first impressions of this pump were really positive. I was so excited to open the box and realise how much MAM had thought about when making this product. Lets start with what you actually get. Both a manual and electric pump in one is sooo handy. The tops change over for what you want to use and the other parts fit for both. You get two MAM self sterilising bottles (which I love!) in different sizes where most pumps I've bought you only ever get one. This is so handy for if you're doing crazy pumping sessions and want to store one in the fridge while using the other. You also get two really large storage pots (they easily hold 4 ounces each)- so much bigger than the pots included in other brands I have tried. The actual pump itself is really easy to assemble and disassemble. This is such an important factor for me as although I don't mind the actual pumping, I get so annoyed at how fiddly some pumps can be and this can put me off using it at all. All the parts were really easy to clean (again - no fiddly bits!) and they easily fit into my steam steriliser.I much prefer to use an electric pump myself but I did try the manual pump for research purposes and it was pretty standard for a manual, it worked fine but my hand got tired pretty quickly. It would do to relieve some pressure or if I needed to express in an emergency, but I've said previously, I much prefer to use an electric so lets talk about that. I was happily surprised to discover that the electric pump was not only sleek and stylish - but RECHARGEABLE. Oh how I hate having to sit near a plug just to be able to express milk for my child, well not with this pump! It charged within a few hours and the battery life has lasted me for quite a few pumping sessions without seeming to lose suction at all. There didn't appear to be any difference in suction between having it plugged in or not, so again, I was very pleased. There are 10 different strength settings so it was really easy to find the right one for me, and it was easy to switch between stimulation and expressing mode. It was reasonably quiet, and fairly comfortable with the silicone insert on the flange. The control panel also had a timer on it which was really useful, as I could ensure I was expressing for the same amount of time on each breast. After just 10 minutes on each breast, I managed to get nearly 5 ounces, which is pretty impressive by my standards! Overall I am really impressed with this 2-in1 pump. I think it's really different to others on the market and good value for money compared to some of the other high street brands. Its easy to use, clean, assemble and disassemble. It's pretty quiet when in electric mode, and has loads of great little features and included extras. The only way I think it could be improved, is if they offered a double version and a variety of flange sizes, as I think I could get a better fit and therefore a more efficient expression. I was offered the opportunity to try the MAM 2 in 1 breast pump. As a mum who is exclusively breastfeeding her baby it can be difficult to find some ‘me’ time, however this pump has given me some freedom in that I can express some breastmilk for my husband and other family members to feed my little girl. The 2 in 1 pump comes boxed in a eyecatching colourful and informative box which outlines the products within the set and how the pump can be used both electronically and manually with great ease. The instructions for this product are in colour with step by step picture guidance which I personally found extremely helpful for cleaning, sterilisation and setting up the pump. The instructions also have a contents so you can easily find which part of the booklet you want without having to look through the entire booklet. The cleaning and sterilisation of the pump, it’s parts and the bottles/storage containers is straight forward. The instructions clearly outline which products must be sterilised with each use. The electric pump unit charges quickly when placed on charge, showing the battery life whilst charging and turning itself off when the battery is full. The pump unit is attractive, yet simplistic in appearance and straight forward to use. When using the electric pump you simply attach to pump to the unit with the tubing, place the funnel over the nipple and turn on the pump. You can select your level of initial pumping whilst waiting for the letdown then you simply touch another button once your milk has started to flow and this can also be turned up if required. I found the electric pump easy to use and found I could pump 3 ounces of breastmilk in approx 12 mins (shown on the pumps timer). The only issue I found with the pump unit is that the touch pad is very sensitive, meaning you have to be careful when moving it around especially if your in the middle of a pumping session. If using the pump manually (which is great when out and about and away from baby) the set up of the pump is slightly different to the electronic use however still simple to use. The pump suction is strong and the pump handle is easy to use, it is also the perfect size for a ladies hand as I’ve noticed some other brands of manual pump tend to be quite large and bulky. This set also comes with two easy start bottles for feeding baby and two smart storage containers which are very handy for storing milk in whilst preparing it for freezing. These containers are suitable for freezing however I prefer to use milk bags as we don’t have a large freezer so space is precious. Overall I would definitely recommend this set to anyone who is looking for an electric or 2 in 1 pump, I feel it is value for money and easy to use. I had been expressing for around 6 months when I got this pump with a view to using it when I return to work. I had been using a manual pump from another manufacturer as originally I had been a little intimidated with the look of electrical ones. This pump combines an electric pump with a manual handle so you can use it in all situations. There are a couple of cons, however, they didn't affect my star rating as they aren't issues for me. Cons-no carry bag included-the electric pump can be a little noisy-there are a lot of pieces to this pump which can be confusing at first (but only at first, once you get your head aroind which parts go with the manual and electric,it's very easy to assemble)Pros-having the manual and the electric pump means you can express no matter what -easy to build-electric pump charges very quickly and holds it's charge for quite a long time (been using for 2 weeks and still have 2 bars left)-comfortable to use-electric pump has both a let down and a free flow setting-there are 9 suction strengths which will be great for first time users to build up to the most efficient for them, which leads me to.....-very efficient in both manual and electric modes (5 oz in 8 mins, about half the time of my other pump)-easy to clean-having the storage pots fitting into the bottom of the bottle is really handy, as is...-it includes caps to turn the bottles into storage containersAnd as a bonus, my little boy who has refused most bottles of expressed milk (he has to take gaviscon which is why I've been expressing so much as this is mixed with milk, and more recently I've been using it in food as we're weaning), took to the mam bottles immediately!! In all, I'm very happy with the pump, and wish I had invested in an electric pump sooner! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Honestly this man 2in1 mam breast pump has changed my life. I had previously been using a different brand hand pump to express milk with it taking 30 mins to get 5oz. The 2 in 1 breast pump has great features as you can have it as an electrical pump but also use it as a hand pump when out and about. This amazing kit comes with 2 bottles with sealing discs and 2 storage pots. I was so excited to get using the pump I started expressing straight away. Using the electrical pump I managed to express 5oz in 7 minutes WOW I couldn't wait to express again after that result and I now look forward to expressing where as before it took so long I gave up. Now it's so quick and easy I can boost my supply whilst also stocking up milk for in the fridge. As you get 2 bottles with this kit you can even pump and go after putting on the sealing disc and teat. The bottles supplied with the kit are the self sterlising bottles can be sterlised in the microwave which is handing when staying at family's house and the only bottles my breastfed baby will take. The hand pump section of this 2 in 1 is so handy for when your staying at family's house so you can still express.  The pump is lovely and quiet with so many different settings and once you using the setting to get your supply up there is then different speeds for how slow/fast you want to pump which is so handy as everyone is different you can start slower and work your way up. As it's an electrical pump you would think you have to sit next to a wallplug whilst using it but you don't you can charge up the battery and use it anywhere. Its so easy to clean and a serious life changer and wish I had got it sooner, look forward to pumping now. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have had this breast pump for 3 days now and already LOVE it! I have had the ardo pump which i didnt rate at all and currently have the medela swing and find the flanges very harsh, i do have the right size, and i find i can get more out with hand expression, however the mam flange comes with a silicone cushion which is so comfortable i barely feel like i an wearing it so thats fab! I have found that the mam pump empties my breast alot more even on the lowest vacuum setting! I am super impressed! I love that it has a rechargable battery making the pump easy to use without having wires attached, easy to use in bed etc and doesnt lose its powerful suction!I charged it wednesday morning and on friday i still havnt had to recharge it... wow- thats pumping 5 times a day for 15-20minutes I love that it has digital display which glows in dark and has a timer so u know how long u have been pumping for so u can just relax and pump and know when to come off without having to think when u went on.I have used the manual pump on a few occasions and it has an incredibly strong suction! The only downside to the electric pump i found was that it does not have a clip on to make it conpletly hands free, and i wish the pots would fit directly onto the pump saves using my bottles when i want to store milk.. and that in the early stages of breastfeeding journey its difficult to measure how much u have expressed as the bottles start at 2ozA Must have for breastfeeding moms! I absolutely cannot rate this pump highly enough! It is comfortable, easy to use, highly efficient, discrete, and portable. I have tried a couple of other pumps before, both manual and electric and have to say this wins hands down. The main things that makes this pump stand out above the rest as an electric pump for me are the fact that it is rechargeable from mains power (meaning that you don’t have to worry about getting batteries to put in it which I would never get round to!) and also that it has a timer which is very useful. I also love the fact that there is a cushioned cover for the pump for the early days expressing to help with tenderness and discomfort at the beginning.Of course one of the best advantages to this pump is that it can easily transform between electric and manual therefore eliminating the need to perhaps buy a second pump if you weren’t comfortable taking the electric pump with you at times. I have to say the pump on manual mode is the best manual pump I’ve tried. It is absolutely fantastic and with hardly any sound. Excellent practical touches from Mam as usual with storage pots included that can screw on to the bottom of the bottle reducing the chances of spillages as you don’t have to transfer between containers. The only one small thing in terms of room for improvement would be to make the valve any colour other than clear.... it can be quite tricky to find while cleaning! Other than that genuinely can’t fault it! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

So I've been using the pump for a while now, I actually cannot believe the difference in this pump to others I've tried. There is literally no comparison, the MAM 2in1 breast pump is by far superior. Starting with the appearance, as soon as I opened the box I immediately could tell how good the product was going to be. The parts were displayed in cases instead of just being thrown in the box. The pump and the bottles included just look so easy on the eye!The actual feel of the pump was brilliant. With other pumps I've usually felt a 'tugging sensation' with the MAM it was so comfortable, it just felt like a more natural latch does. The charging port is amazing.Being able to see exactly how long you've been expressing for and clearly see what mode you are using are just two of the features I found useful. I would say read the instructions that come with it! Being as eager as I was to try the pump out I would have really benefited from reading what everything was and does before trying. One other feature that I found just brilliant was the fact you can use the battery pack by attaching to a mains plug or actually charge the battery pack up and use on the go! That will be so much easier for me when returning to work and needing to express, without having to find a plug socket!I simply wouldn't use any other brand again. The first thing you notice about this 2 in 1 pump is how light the whole system is which is fantastic when you need to pump on the go as it doesn’t weigh down your nappy bag. The charge lasts for ages but I also love the fact that you can plug it in and use it whilst it is recharging too. The electric pump is strong and the 9 level stimulation mode encourages a let down quite quickly and then it’s just a push of a button to start the expression mode which again had 9 levels. I stuck to level 4/5 and this was powerful enough to give me plenty of milk. It is super easy to transfer from the electric to manual and I wish that I had this when I was first in hospital having my son as I would have preferred to use the manual for the first day or two before moving on to the electric. This pump is easy to use, very easy to sterilise and has fewer parts than other single pumps that I have used meaning it is quick to assemble and disassemble when needing to be cleaned. I also love the fact that you get two of MAMs self sterilising bottles with the kit as well as two storage pots which can be put in the freezer for milk and/or purses etc. This is the best non-hospital grade pump I’ve used in terms of ease of use, ease to clean and output of milk. Thank you MAM! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

There are a lot of things to like about this breast pump. Primarily I like how it has a manual and electric mode, which offers great flexibility. When using the electric mode, the intensity level of stimulation and pumping can be easily increased or decreased, and it is really effective. It also really feels natural - very close to experience of feeding baby directly.Another plus point is that the pump charges up. You don't need to be plugged into the wall when using it (although you can be if you need to). Again, this offers great flexibility. The pump arrives fully charged. It comes with two bottles that you pump straight into, although I have since transferred the milk into storage bags to keep in the freezer. The pump doesn't come with storage bags, but does come with a couple of storage pots. It would be good to have the option to pump straight into a bag.A big downside is the instructions, which are poor. It's a printed piece of paper, not a proper manual. That said the info on the side of the box is useful, and use you've figured things out the pump is a doddle to use.Only other downside - which is possibly true of all pumps - is that there are a lot of bits included with the kit, all of which need washing and sterilising before each use.

I have been using this for about a week after previously using a medela pump. Advantages:It is sturdy and well built- I find it stays more upright when pumping-I worry the medela hangs down when pumping as it comes in more bits where as the mam is all one pieceIt is very comfortable- there is a cushioned insert for the funnel which is great! I also haven’t experienced any discomfort when on the higher setting which I had with my old pumpIt is much quieter! There are many options with bottle attachment and storage cup add ons which mean I can pump more without having to change bottles or can pump straight into a larger mam bottleI rarely manual pump but have tired it and it is easy to switchbetween modesThere is a protective cover for the pump funnel to ikeep it clean and sterlie when not in useThere is a timer on the electronic display so you can keep track of timeDisadvantages:More to clean and put together than my other pump It is larger so doesn’t fit my cupboard I worried at first that I didn’t ‘feel’ it working but realised that I was actually getting more milk and it was more comfortable so am very pleased with this product overall and would recommend! Before receiving this pump I’ve used another market brand pump. I definitely prefer the MAM! I love so many things about it but the most useful function for me is the different levels of simulations and expressions (all nine of them!), which feels natural and easy to express milk. Another great feature is that the storage bottle can be attached to the feeding bottle which is great as I can express directly into it ready for my partner to feed our baby. Another big plus point is that it has a rechargeable battery so once charged it can be used up to 5 hours (no more being attached to cables to use electric mode- so much easier!) Also it is very easy to switch from manual to electric! The storage pots with lids are an added bonus too - rather than buying lots of bags to pour the milk into after expressing, and it comes with some cute neutral MAM bottles (which are also amazing!)If I was to try and find a negative (which was difficult!) it is that the touch pad is quite sensitive so easy to knock it on to other settings, but apart from that I think it’s brilliant and will definitely recommend it to my friends who are having babies soon! I started expressing so my husband could feed our LO at night (and so I can get some sleep). The Mam breastpump came with easy to follow instructions and was very simple to use. It was easy to switch from the manual to electric use. The electric setting comes with a variety of settings, I personally found the strongest too strong and the weakest too weak so preferred the middle settings. The touchscreen was easy to use and select settings. The suction cup around the pump fitted comfortably and after a couple of uses it was almost unnoticeable. I found having a muslin or wipe handy afterwards was good for cleaning up any final drips. The breastpump was very lightweight and fairly compact so it fit well in my overnight bag when we went away. The bottles also attach to the pump easily so there’s no spillage of milk. The battery also lasted for ages which was handy as I could express in the car! It was easy to clean and sterilise after use. I’d definitely recommend this product as it’s so easy to use and adaptable for your preferences. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Very modern design with digital screen. I love how quiet it is compared to my old pump. I used this in the hospital as I had to go in for an operation, the rechargeable battery meant I had no worries about being allowed to plug it in at the hospital and I could use it in my hospital bed. It's really quiet which meant I didn't disturb the other patients and also kept my privacy. It comes with very handy storage pots with screw on lids that make it very handy to pop in the fridge. Also included is two of the mam self sterilising bottles which are so handy to have. The manual feature is great to have if you've forgotten to charge it up or just want to use the manual rather than the electric for what ever reason,it's nice to have the option. One thing it could do with is a carry case. As I found that because it has a touch screen it very easily turned itself on when it was in my hospital bag. A carry bag that could fit all the bits in would definitely make it much more portable. Over all my new favourite toy by far!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I had quite a few demands for a breast pump and the MAM 2 in 1 loved up to them. Having the ability to be both manual and electric is incredibly helpful; whichever suits me best I can do and doesn’t take any additional sterilisation to switch. The electric part you can also charge, which is useful for every day and going to be so useful for when I go back to work and pump, and even if I forgot to charge it I can plug in and go or use the manual part. The set also comes with not 1 but 2 bottles and storage pots, which I have not seen with any other pumps. The pump function itself is brilliant, much stronger than other manual pumps I have tried. I have only two negative points, the first is the colour scheme is quite bright so it’s not that subtle. The second is the set up is quite confusing at first, so I would set time aside to read the instructions and put the parts together to practice before trying to rush it when the baby is awake as I did! But these are so minor. I would recommend this pump to all new mums. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
