This has brought out the best in my D750 and allowed me to push my portrait photography to the next level. All the buttons are intuitive and the metal casing feels natural with the rest of the camera body.Aside from seeing the join, you would not notice that this wasn't factory designed as a single unit when it's on. Everything feels the same as the main D750 body.I've not needed to use the extra battery functionality, but have noth the ionb and AA adaptors if required. What I have done is transfer the main battery to the grip so that I don't need to take it off everytime the battery needs a charge.I deliberated for a long time on whether to go with the official (but expensive)grip or one of the 3rd party Chinese versions. I must confess that I feel that I made the right choice. For a camera body costing over £1000, it makes sense to pair it with a comparable grip. Don't consider this an add on, more of an extension of the camera you already have. Would you want a house extension to be made of cardboard if the original as brick and mortar? If you're reading this then you already likely own a D750. Buying the official grip will mean that it feels like your D750. A plastic 3rd party grip would feel like that. WHen you're behind the view finder it's the feel and responsiveness that counts and the Nikon grip gives you Nikon quality.

If you have purchased the D750 and thinking about the £40 grips to this, £220 grip.. let me just ask... If you wanted that camera, is it insured? Do you want to keep it secure since it's emptied your bank account? Then buy this metal built grip! Solid as a rock! Built like a tank component. If you want to buy a cheap £40 grip that will most likely crack when using it on a tripod from weight of lens and probably shatter if you drop it on hard surface. Don't be tight, buy this, when you can, it will last forever!Onto the product itself. Grip, is grippy.. its as deep as the grip on the body of the camera, it's got same texture.. it fits perfectly... as you would expect from the official company...Can't fault it at all.. Maybe I could say the control wheels, a little stiff at first but least I know inside is made of quality materials and not feel like it will break off at any moment. If you need a grip for a D750, buy this one, don't waste your money on £40 plastic, buy something that's been engineered by the people who made your camera!

Having had a cheap alternative, and a real one before, i can say for sure that you notice the difference in the finish, and operation of this product. It finished the camera off just right, the lines are a perfect match, the finish is the same, the quality is the same, its expensive, but you get what you pay for as always. if you want the worry of 'it might not work as expected' or 'is the seller going to change it if its dodgy' then buy cheap, if you want peace of mind that you are getting something of decent quality, AND have the manufacturer and seller backing you up, then buy decent the first time round, and save the worry for something else. You wont be dissapointed with this, its a quality product finished to a high standard, exactly what you would expect.

Just wow. For a start, the battery on this camera is amazing in the first place, I can go a full day without changing it as I'm very diligent with turning it off as soon as I'm not shooting. This makes the camera so much easier to hold and it looks and feels great. It's a perfect match for the original material and it was so worth laying the extra to get the nikon branded one. Obviously, it adds weight, but, it means you can shoot all day and never have to worry if you do drain the battery with heavy live view or video recording.

Not a bad price from Amazon although it stated free postage yet charged me £3.75 on checkout! That said it arrived in 2 days so I was pleased. £230 is a lot of coin for a grip but it feels solid and well made reeking quality, fitting it to my D750 just polishes it off nicely. My camera is now complete, highly recommend, don't get the cheaper alternatives on the market because it's just the same as buying a £2000 lens then putting a £25 piece of glass in front of it.Happy New Year

Worth paying the extra for as it is a very robust item, fits perfectly and does exactly what it says on the tin. Of course it fully matches the camera it is attached to as well. Was thinking of going for a cheaper alternative, however for peace of mind it has been well worth the investment. The added bonus was that it arrived a lot earlier than the original expected date of delivery, but well worth the wait had it been the full delivery time.
