This is a review in two parts.First the Cost.I see this coffee is sold by Office Needs. But at this price I suggest they send the Office Junior to the local store and buy it thereThis works out at OVER £8.89 (as at July 2012) per 100g which is well over double what you would pay for at the most expensive supermarket.Even Bill Gates, Roman Abramovich and any Russian Oligarch would winch at the price.Now to the Coffee itself.I love this coffee's taste and consider it one of the best on the market.I'm always searching for the best freshly brewed taste in an instant.Alta Rica by Nescafe is the closest to that at the moment.The taste is simply wonderful.Very very close to the best fresh brewed that you can buy.If you're in a hurry to get a decent cup of coffee and haven't the time to percolate/

This coffee has to be one of the best instants I have ever tasted.Fabulous taste with the convienience of an instant.A word of warning.Once you come over to the Dark taste side you will never drink Nescafe original without a pang of regret again after this superior brew.A tip in brewing the stuff is to let the kettle boil and wait.(or better still switch the kettle off just before reaching boiling point)Leave the water to cool a little then add it to the coffee.Too near boiling can really spoil the taste.Don't believe me try making two lots of half a cup. Boiling straight from the kettle and the second slightly allowed to cool a couple of minutes.Then compare.

Finding it hard to get the Nescafe Origins 'bold and intense' Alta Rica in the Supermarkets (they just seem to have the cheaper and bitter tasting Gold Blend versions) it is nice that one can still get it through Amazon.The only downside is cost, the tin is £21.99 for 500g, whereas when the Supermarket has the jars they are £7.50 for 190g which makes them £22.50 for 570g, so actually buying a large tin is NOT better value.But I am just pleased I can get what I want, but will still keep looking for them in the Supermarket in order to save money.

Some people have complained about the tin this coffee comes in, but I can't find anything wrong with it and at the rate I go through coffee I can't see it causing me any problems.It is my favourite coffee and I put it into a coffee jar when it arrived and it is a glass coffee jare with a sealed lid so afterwards there is no problem with keeping it fresh.It also arrived in perfect time with Amazon Prime and I will be buying this one again for sure.

I do like a cup of coffee! When I'm out and about I will go for a Hazelnut latte from Starbucks or Costa. But when I'm at home and I do like a great cup of instant coffee! This bar far is the best tasting, rich and smooth coffee ever! It even smells great when you pop the lid off! This 500g is value for money, Even in my local Wholesale its £21.98 + VAT. A little jar in a supermarket would be around £3-4 so I see this as a better buy in my eyes!

The coffee is great, but the box lid won't stay shut! I've had to use masking tape. So one star down for lousy packaging.I like a good strong rich black coffee and whilst I find other brands and flavours I like (Carte Noir) every now and then I get a batch of jars with a nasty burnt taste. I can always get it replaced but it's a pain every time it happens. So far Alta Rica has not done this to me.

Alta Rica is a dark instant coffee and best on the market in my opinion, been drinking it for years, this 500g tin offers very good value for money vrs the glass jars from supermarkets however the price has been rising on Amazon so will keep an eye on that, once you try this you will not go back to any cheap instant coffee, you get what you pay for.

Lovely coffee and it's the only coffee I drink now.I thought buying it in bulk would save me money but I can buy 100 grams in Poundstretcher for £3.50.The seller delivered on time and it was as expected. If you haven't tried this coffee I recommend that you try it, I tried a dozen different coffees before I settled on this one.

Well I like strong coffee that isn’t bitter, eh voila! I am surprised at how long this lasts as well. I have tried other types of coffee and they appear to go down much quicker; not sure why that is....Anyway, taste is a personal thing so I’m sure everyone is delighted that I like this coffee. You might as well! I hope you do.

Lovely strong coffee. Tastes fantastic. This seller did a fantastic deal for one tub of coffee, so I got two. As I use a lot of coffee. Coffee arrived very quickly. Cannot fault seller, would recommend ,will definitely use again. Well packaged as well, so comes damage free.

I only drink this instant coffee for people who love coffee,when friends or family vist i dont give them this one, i give them a cheaper one as im the only real coffee drinker i know, yes i need to borden my friends.

Best instant coffee out there. Nice and rich, lovely smell.The lids on the new rectangular boxes were designed by demons - but heck the coffee is so good, who cares about frustrating packaging?

Thank goodness for this coffee! It really is the best instant coffee going. I have converted everyone in my office and visitors always think it has been freshly brewed. Thank you Nescafe!!

Love this coffee. Was great value for money originally but has steadily risen in price and it is now cheaper to buy the refills for jars in the local shop, especially when on offer.
