For as long as I can remember, I've woken up to a cup of Nescafe Gold Blend, it's the best start to the day, for me it is anyway. A smooth and rich coffee which beats the other instant coffees hands down. This 500g of Gold Blend comes in a useful tin, I've been after this tin for a while and it has only recently come down in price to £17.50, which is just bearable to splash out for, I wouldn't pay no more than that. The tin is a nice reusable product to keep things in afterwards, when I've drank all the coffee. It isn't airtight mind you, so if you take a while to get through coffee then it's best to transfer this coffee into an airtight container. What's with the lid Nescafe? The tin has a plastic lid which looks a bit cheap, ruins the rest of the product, to be honest, at this price they could of used a metal lid and made it at least somewhat airtight, it's just penny pinching at the end of the day, at least the coffees top quality.Nescafe Gold Blend to me is a rich, smooth flavoursome coffee, no bitter aftertastes, no sharp hitting strong flavours. just totally relaxed and smooth with a taste of quality coffee. I make mine with 3 teaspoons of coffee, half a teaspoon of sugar, pour in the rested boiled water and add a tad of milk, perfect!Oh, I forgot to mention the amazing aroma I got from opening up the foil lid on the container, absolutely gorgeous, the best instant coffee aroma out there.I'm very happy to recommend this coffee, just about good value for money at £17.50, tins okay, shame about the rubbish lid but you can't have it all I suppose, just sort the lid out Nescafe!

Let's face it; this is the only generally-available instant coffee that doesn't taste like pants.I've tried others - usually unwillingly - but apart from the odd short-life special blend (usually freeze-dried by the same company) I've always felt like I've drunk a ditch. My mother, famously, made the worst coffee in the world, using Mellow B(custard) though sometimes Max Houseroom and always with a bizarre combination of milk and ersatz coffee-creamer, hand whisked and ladled from container to container and re-whisked or stirred at different stages of the complex operation like a perverse alchemical work of great significance. it tasted awful, scarred me for life and it drove me to finding the perfect coffee which is why I now have a kitchen full of mocha pots, caffetieres, espresso machines, filters and percolators. I use them all, but my standard, hassle-free fallback is Gold Blend.I miss you, mom. I don't miss your coffee.Sometimes instant hits the spot better than "real" coffee - it's a mood thing. This stuff tasted great from a thermos. I normally knock up a litre and stick it under my desk and chug it between coffee breaks.Essential.Oh - my father has a Gold Blend jar, from which he makes "coffee." I have no idea what's in it - he claims it's GB - but it too tastes like pants. Maybe there's a 50 Kilo container of some_thing_ my mother bought lurking in the cellar that he's decanting into it ? He doesn't whisk, stir and froth, though.

Going away next year and coffee is always a welcome gift as it's very expensive where I am traveling to.The last time I purchased these tins, it was 2016, when they were excellent value for money. Purchased these yesterday (17/11/19), because it's FINALLY at a decent price again, considering the buying power of Amazon, not sure why they are not cheaper than they usually are. Not as cheap as 2016 but considering that you can get a 200g bottle for £4, this tin works out to just £1.78 more if purchasing 4 bottles at that price. I don't mind paying the minor difference since the two tins purchased are going to be gifts & it makes a better presentation in this lovely gold coloured tin, than 4 bottles.Expiry date on date of receipt 18/11/19 is 09/2020.It's unlikely to last that long considering who the tins are being given to drinks coffee at least 2-3 times per day.

I generally buy the 500g tub of Nescafe original as it can be up to 5GBP cheaper, but occasionally the difference between Gold Blend and original is only marginal, in which case I'll splash out and spoil the office staff.Gold blend is a smoother coffee and more of a roasted taste to it, but as my office gets through a fair bit of coffee I opt for the cheaper original. This is definitely a better coffee out of the 2, but I have to keep costs down! Not bad VFM, but occasional offers in supermarkets can mean it is cheaper to buy it in separate 200g jars in-store.

Getting blood (or coffee) from a stone is easier than trying to get a gift idea for my 78-year-old Dad. So this year for Father's Day I decided to gift him his two favourite things; normally that's peace and quiet and to be left alone, but thanks to COVID he's had plenty of that, instead I bought him coffee and Lamb's Navy Rum.This item is great value for money and will definitely keep him going for a while, even if he is taking some to my sister's house to ensure he gets a good coffee there too!

Goods as expected but for this Quantity I think I have paid much more than Local Supermarkets but of course it would mean myhaving to take this amount say buying Three or four Jars and my having to go and collect it myself. so that's the Diff but still would like the price to come down by some 4 to 5 £s Then it would be a good deal to Write about and Would Also Stimulate ones Thinkingorder more than just one anyway Thank you very much D. Knight.

I bought this as a way of saving money. (Average jar lasts about 2-3 weeks at around £3 a go) but this one will last a good 5-6 months and for £12, well it speaks for it's self. Very tasty and ideal if u use a flask for work, as I do. So go on flask users, treat yourselves. You won't regret it. Also it's on subscribe n save but before I try that I am going to see how long this first one lasts me otherwise I will have far too much.

Much improved packaging, easier to handle as the box is now rectangular with rounded edges rather than the old fashioned round tin and as always, the coffee is spot on. The coffee addict in the house remains happy and able to communicate first thing in the morning, we must never run out and with this super sized box there is much more of a buffer zone.

Normally buy this from a cash and carry, they were not stocking it last time I went, we were getting low, so this was a logical purchase, I use this most of the time, occasionally substituting it with Blend 37, I just wish it had had a slightly longer sell by date, but that is something you cannot control when buying through Amazon, it appears.

I buy this on subscribe and save so get an extra 15% off, so it not only is a quality instant coffee but costs less than cheap store brand instant. Lovely flavour, great price and comes in a handy big tub with a hinged lid so it's easy to pour however much I like into my coffee storage jar and the rest stays fresh until I need to refill.

We buy this coffee from the cash and carry or Viking Direct as they always seem to have brilliant offers on them. Im a big coffee drinker. The taste of this coffee is perfect for me. Its not too strong or bitter. Never ever leaves that nasty bitter taste to the mouth. This truly is the best coffe about.
