The beans have a lovely tobacco aroma which unfortunately does not transfer into taste (personal flavour preference).The bag states intensity 8/10, my personal opinion is around 6/10. Simple fix, extra shot of espresso and the flavour is quite robust and full, nutty and smooth better for a mid-day or early afternoon pick me up. Would definitely recommend trying as the taste is quite unique. I do love dark roast more but this is purchase I will happily make again.Only critisicm, I appreciate when companies distribute beans of 1kg into smaller sealable bags as the freshness is much longer. I'm always ending up towards the bottom of the bag having a drier bean due to the prolonged air exposure.

I love Lavazza coffee and often use their beans for my coffee machine. While it is not as delicate as Illy, it is also more reasonably priced and offers much better value for money.This mixture of Arabica and robusta is perfect for a morning espresso. It has enough acidity to give you a kick, but at the same time it has a smooth and delicate flavour that you can enjoy with or without milk (OK, a typical Italian espresso in the morning has no milk, but that is another story)I like it, find the end result, when used with a good coffee machine, to be consistent and reliable, and know that vacuum package can be stored for a long period. If you do not use lots of coffee (we go through a kilo in two or three weeks)

2 things that are impressive. Firstly the coffee arrived quickly, which was just as well as I was running out. I drink expresso and cannot survive the morning without my double shot. I use a bean to cup machine and so I get a good crema on my coffee anyway, however most of the time I buy coffee from France and I have eventually found a coffee that I really like. But I had nearly run out and had to buy some from another source. Last time I ordered from Amazon, I ordered the Lavazza expresso, which was fine, so this time I thought I would try something a bit different. The roast is a medium roast, but the taste is fantastic. It has a really rich flavour of the coffee, and is a perfect start to the day.

You have to doubt yourself when so many other reviewers state otherwise, but I did not notice any noticeable difference in amount of crema or the length it stayed for compared to the standard Lavazza beans I normally buy.I take my coffee black and my wife has an espresso every morning, so no milk interfered with my crema testing.I use my coffee in a bean to cup machine (Delonghi Magnifica), don’t think this can be attributed to why I notice no difference… but I really tried to see a difference and didn’t unfortunately.I still rate this coffee as 4 stars though because for the negligible price difference, and the beans still made a tasty cup of coffee so that’s all good.

This is lovely coffee really nice I do recommend it but it's just not that strong! Great for espresso but any milk really dilutes the coffee kick maybe that's me you may find it's enough coffe taste for you! I find the 8 strength misleading it definitely closer of a 6 now it's very smooth not bitter and creme yes, smells nice and have had little trouble dialing it in on my De'Longhi Magnifica, Automatic Bean to Cup, no stickyness or added mess, pucks seem to be solid and dry when ejected. I probably won't go for this again just because I like my coffee strong even in a latte. But it is very nice mellow coffee. I have recommended this to some friends and told others like me to avoid.

For anyone with a decent coffee machine and grinder - this makes great coffee. As another reviewer said, the crema is really thick (up to probably half an inch). The taste is not bitter at all but lovely and smooth. I prefer cappucinos which taste gorgeous whereas my husband prefers a strong dark espresso & he is more than happy with the coffee he gets from these beans. We are experimenting with different coffee beans at the moment in an effort to find our perfect coffee. These beans are definately in our top 2 at the moment. The first is from Bella Barista but at £18 for 1kg + postage it is a bit on the expensive side. We will definately buy more of these. Highly recommended

Flavor - smooth and lacking any major bitterness in the aftertaste, is easily drinkable without sugar or milk if preferred. I noticed personally, that I use half the sugar and milk I used to, and enjoy the flavour of this coffee roast.Crema - I was taken in by the hype of intensive crema, which, as of yet I haven't seemed to achieve with this one. I'm not a barista so I could be missing something but it seems to easily dissipate once you add your milk and stirring in sugar.Machine - I'm using a Philips Saeco expresso perfecto bean-to-cup machine.Value - will definitely be purchasing these beans again in the future due to the price point and smoothness.

This great tasting coffe offers a break from you normal morning coffee, a good body and great taste really breaks you out of that murderous feeling first thing on a Monday morning. If you have kids and a full time job and need that reassurance that the day is not as bad as you think then this is for you.Strength is just about right for you to have a good 4 or 5 cups before lunch and not hover and rattle like a humming bird trying to smell the colour 3. It works well as an americano even fits nicely in your cappuccino or lattes if you don't like the espresso. Will order again and again and again.

The coffee beans came packaged well and without any tears or punctures. I am not sure how long the beans have been in storage since roasting but they still have a good aroma when opening the bag.Using an aeropress, 15g dose with medium coarse grind (7 clicks on Hario Mini Mill) and 250g water (150g in brewer for 60seconds and 100g post shot), the aroma is intense and pleasant. The taste is balanced with a slight bitterness to it and a hint of chocolate.Overall, a very enjoyable coffee and I would recommend it.Hack

Only really got into drinking coffee when i remarried 6 years ago. My wife would drink coffee when I only drank tea. Slowly I got into drinking the odd coffee when out. For a birthday gift last year, I bought my wife a De'Longhi Magnifica ESAM4200 15-Bar Bean to Cup Espresso/Cappuccino Maker. One of the best birthday presents ever. We both use the machine and have bought many coffees from both Amazon and else where. The coffee Lavazza Crema is one of the best flavours found on Amazon.

As an italian born and bred, I love my espresso (or caffe`!). I used to buy Lavazza Crema e Gusto ground coffee to use in my Delonghi coffee machine, but it was still quite bitter and unpleasant. Bought the Professional burr grinder, and these lavazza beans. Such a difference!! The coffee is so smooth and has a bitter kick as soon as it hits the tongue but then as it coats the inside of the mouth it becomes so creamy and lovely. Just like ordering a Caffe` in an Italian "Bar"!

I usually have the Tierra beans but as these were 5 quid cheaper at the time i wanted to order ,i gave them a try.They aren't as good but you don't usually get something as good for cheaper.But perfectly drinkable and not as bad imo as people make out. I understand it won't be for everyone but i just didn't find them as horrible as others did. I prefer a few other coffee's but this isn't bad and i'd probably buy again dependent on price difference.

I used to drink this type of coffee at work from our vending machines but didn't knew exactly what type it was, only that it is Lavazza (I'm using this at home) until one morning when the guy who top up the machines was there and asking him what model is it. Anyway, I was tell that I can't find it in the shops unless I order online and I did ... happy with the quality, happy with the taste, the rest is it done by the coffee machine everyone uses.

This coffee has a good creamy flavour, but is sadly not strong enough for us (I should have paid more attention to those reviews which make the same point!). It is a 3 in strength terms. It does have a good crema, but no better than the coffee I prefer: Percol black and beyond espresso. The beans also seem extra hard - I have had to grind on finest setting, and even grind twice to eliminate larger chunks which remained after first grind.
