I’ve been using a delonghi bean to cup espresso machine for 10 years. I’ve tried dozens of different bean blends over several years.Arabica, robustas everything.This coffee which is 100% arabica is the finest, smoothest most rounded simple coffee I’ve tasted.I’ve tasted a range from £100 a kilo through to £5 a kilo. This is under £9 a kilo at this moment through amazon & is as good as any £30-50 coffee I’ve tasted.Simply put it’s delicious at anytime of day.Forget Costa, Starbucks, Nero etc etc etc with their minimum poverty wages & high profits tax wizardry disgusting nonsense.I get the best coffee at home at pennies a cup & I enjoy the savings.

I had reservations buying coffee beans I hadn’t tried before, but after reading some of the excellent reviews I took the plunge and ordered a kilo. I was not disappointed from opening the bag you could smell the quality of these beans. This coffee is amazing, smooth, fairly strong with a great aroma. It really does both taste and smell like an higher priced coffee. Ive tried it as an espresso and flat white and would compare it to a Nero-esque coffee, but with more delicate flavours. If you love your coffee pleasant and strong and want to save the expense of visiting your morning coffee shop, I’d definitely give this a try.

First off, I have probably made a morning pot of coffee using ready ground coffee for more than 20 years now. I always shop around looking for the best deals. Six months ago, I purchased a decent coffee grinder after discovering that there is so much choice if you buy your own beans. Previously, I used a cafetiere but I now use a superior 9 cup Italian stove, adding hot milk to make two large mugs of excellent coffee.I am impressed with the Café Royal Espresso Beans. The strength is 4. For me, this is exactly the sort of coffee I like, dark and fairly strong. Very good value - I will be ordering again soon.

This was disappointing the coffee is a 4/5 strength and this is normally a stronger flavoured coffee. Seeing this is from Switzerland, I decided to buy it for my other half, who is a Coffee coniseur. He found it to be rather weak, I found it to be rather smooth, with no horrible aftertaste. Overall if you are a Coffee Nazi, you will find this coffee weak. If you are just an occasional drinker, like myself... then it's a pleasant surprise and nothing too strong.

Finally I've found a good strong espresso coffee bean. I've tried many different brands but this one is perfect. When I made a coffee in the office with my Aeropress one of my work colleagues could smell the intense coffee smell and asked if I struggled to sleep at night after drinking it ?. If you like a strong coffee that's not bitter I'd recommend you try these. I purchased at less than £7 for a 1kg bag. Bargain!!

I have a good, strong, double expresso made on an Italian stove top expresso maker every morning. This coffee is a mild expresso with not much bitterness. For the price you'll be hard pressed to find any complaints about it but actually if it was a fiver more you'd not complain. This bag lasted me just over a 5 weeks (I may have had more than one on a weekend morning and a few cafetieres thrown in as well)

Not a bad price and reasonable taste. Not the strongest, but the beans seem fresh and not bitter. Delonghi bean to cup machine coped well with them. I tend to have to add another restricted shot to cappuccinos to get the stronger taste that I like.With beans it’s always personal taste and what one person like is not necessarily the same as another.

Truly delcious Coffee Beans.............certainly matched up to the Reviews. I've paid iro £35.00 KG. for this quality. Lead......Time initially quoted 5 days/ordered pre week-end....however...48 hour service. I ordered 4kg. and will be ordering more.Thank you Amazon............again....bringing these Products to our Doorstep!! Gilli C.

To my surprise very nice soft aromatic coffee. Not very sour not very bitter. Just balanced for my taste. Beans are mixed sized but nice even colour. Smells delicious. I make coffee and in press when lazy, but mostly in a perculator. both are nice, better when perculator. Arrived in 2 days. With 20 percent discount it's a good buy.

This represents excellent value! Over 12 months of the 18 month 'best before' period remained upon delivery. Its low acidity is evident by chewing the bean - very pleasant! A more sustaining crema than other budget blends. Another recent reviewer commented that this is better than some coffee shop standards. I agree. Give it a go!

As my wife and I only drink espresso we are always on the lookout for a good whole bean to grind for our Baby Gagia. At last I think we've found one. A good blend of arabica and robusta to give it body and strength. Delivers a great Crema and the coffee is strong but not to bitter. For this money I think this is a real winner.

At the price paid, it can't be beaten. Pure arabica beans with a darkish roast. Strong flavour and a decent crema, which works very well in espresso and latte type drinks, which I make in our bean to cup machine. I personally cannot tell any difference between these and other beans costing much more. So recommended.

These were not too bad at all. Nicely roasted and great quality and whilst slightly more to the bitter side, had great strength and plenty of flavour. You can't go wrong with these for the price, however if you're looking for a sweeter/chocolatier (is that a word?) taste, I'd probably go for something else.

Just before Christmas Amazon had these on special for £6 a kilo! what's not to like! I ordered enough to last the year! just got through the first bag in one month making 2-3 double Espressos a day, just as good as the main popular brands. Hopefully they get some more in at that price!

Dark, bitter & spicy flavour with a hint of chocolate. Personally I find the "Crema" roast more well-balanced and enjoyable for general use as it has no bitterness. But for the price, these have acceptable flavour and very good strength which is desirable for espresso.
