One of the most absorbing games I've ever played!`Cafe International' is a game where players have to `seat' customers in a Cafe in groups of four. There are four chairs to each table, and each table must be well-balanced due to `etiquette' with either two customers - consisting of one man and a woman, three, or four, consisting of two men and two women! This is complicated further by the fact that they must all be of the same nationality - excepting where tables `adjoin' two others, (not all do) whereby it is acceptable to have a table made up of `multi' nationals.Players score points and are given plastic chips worth various denominations to keep tally until the end of the game when they are added up.There are four `jokers' which can represent any customer - any nationality, but there are two of each sex. There is also a bar where customers must sit at a price should they not find a suitable place at tables following the rules of `etiquette'!This is one of the most absorbing and enjoyable games I have played, and everyone I've played it with over the years has thoroughly enjoyed it! It's one of those rare games that as soon as one has finished, you immediately wish to start another and could play all evening without becoming bored! It's great quality, as although most of the game is of cardboard, (excepting a cloth bag, and plastic chips) I've had mine for almost a quarter of a century, played it a lot, and it's still as good as new!Made by `Mattel'.

This is a great game - easy to ;earn, but never the same twice! It was Game of the Year in 1989, but I think it would win again today.
