I love microplane graters and have been a complete convert since my first purchase. They are sharp, super sharp. This one is ideal for shavings and handles parmesan with ease. Very useful for posh garnishes which can be turned out in no time! Doesn't look that pretty but really does the job (and I keep my graters in a drawer so who care what they look like?).

Upgraded to the Microplane Professional range having used the plastic models for years until the frames started to crack.These stainless steel models are comfortable to use, easy to clean in the dishwasher and lighter than expected.If you're hesitating over the "add to basket" button, just do it - no regrets here.

I ordered the shaver, plus a coarse and a fine grater. They are all fantastic quality, and are so sharp that they have transformed my food preparation. No wonder so many professional chefs swear by Microplane. Absolutely worth the extra money.

It's comfortable to hold and easy to use, and saves me from grating my knuckles on a regular all-purpose cheese grater. I also like the fact that it comes with a slide-on cover so no-one can cut themselves on the sharp edges.
