Maybelline vivid matte lipstick is a liquid lipstick applied with a wand and is more of a cream than a traditional bullet and its formula is similar to the cream-liquid glosses that were popular in the late 90s.This colour Coral Courage is a hot warm toned neon pink which looks a scary in the tube and shouldn't be thickly applied. It is bright and bold on my super pale skin but in a good way and despite my tiredness with a newborn it 'lifted' my face, I can see this being most flattering when I've the energy to do a good foundation of makeup, this is a colour for making a statement, not for a daytime swipe of mascara and pat of powder unless you are 15 with flawless skin! This shade is definitely a rare one for me as corals are usually awful tango on me ,but this is a warm neon pop of hot pink and frankly I love it.It takes courage to wear but it is a great choice for summer if you find usual corals too orangey-red.The formula feels like melted lipstick with a ton of silicone added to get a slippy but creamy texture similar to over-whipped cream on the edge of becoming butter. It is lovely and easy to apply with the wand and needs only one application for full coverage.I would warn for careful and light application as the more intense colours can stain if misapplied, this is a bonus for longevity of colour but not if you jog your hand whilst applying and you don't need much as over applying feels like you've coated your lips in clotted cream. It does feel super-slippy on the lips and doesn't 'set' which means it's never truly 'matte' which to me is dead flat no shine whatsoever. The slip and feel of the product on wearing may make some people feel a little uncomfortable as you certainly know you are wearing a lip product. You do transfer very easily which is a big let down, however it mutes to a stain which means you do get some endurance of wear. The colours in this collection have been thoughtfully chosen, many high street lines do not consider cool tones in their makeup which leads to the 'orange' effect. Every colour I trialled from this line worked on both cool and warm skin tones, and many looked amazing on my super-pale skintone which is a first.Overall despite the fact they feel a little uncomfortable at first and lack longevity I would still purchase this product again with my money, and I would consider this colour again.

maybelline vivid matte lipstick is a liquid lipstick applied with a wand and is more of a cream than a traditional bullet and its formula is similar to the cream-liquid glosses that were popular in the late 90s.This colour possessed plum is a deep aubergine mauve-purple which looks and sounds gothy but in fact is a surprisingly wearable deep aubergine that works so well on every skintone who has tried it} on my super pale skin it looks a little gothier than others but is surprisingly still a really flattering shade leaning more towards 'striking' rather than aging goth/emo. This shade is definitely a keeper for me and is best suited to Autumn-winter wear or for nights but is still wearable in the dayIt is a bold colour choice, but definitely wearable and flattering which is surprising for a colour this deep and dark. The formula feels like melted lipstick with a ton of silicone added to get a slippy but creamy texture similar to over-whipped cream on the edge of becoming butter. Maybelline vivid matte lipstick is a liquid lipstick applied with a wand and is more of a cream than a traditional bullet and its formula is similar to the cream-liquid glosses that were popular in the late 90s.This colour Electric Pink is a hot cool/blue toned neon pink which looks a scary in the tube and shouldn't be thickly applied. It is bright and bold on my super pale skin but in a good way and despite my tiredness with a newborn it 'lifted' my face, its not a colour to slick on with nothing else for the school run unless you have the perfect complexion of a 15 year old supermodel though. This shade is more gentle than the hot pink of Coral Courage if you have cool toned or pale skin butis still super bright. It takes courage to wear but it is a great choice for summer if you like blue toned neon pinks. The formula feels like melted lipstick with a ton of silicone added to get a slippy but creamy texture similar to over-whipped cream on the edge of becoming butter. Maybelline vivid matte lipstick is a liquid lipstick applied with a wand and is more of a cream than a traditional bullet and its formula is similar to the cream-liquid glosses that were popular in the late 90s.This colour Rebel red is a rich 1940s 'Liberty' red which looks warmer in the stock photo than it wears but shouldn't be thickly applied. It is rich and bold on my super pale skin but in a good way and despite my tiredness with a newborn it 'lifted' and enhanced my face with little other makeup on.This shade is gorgeous on everyone that has tried it on so far so it is largely universal as a flattering red.It takes courage to wear but it is a great choice if you've struggled to find the 'perfect red'that isn't too orange-warm.The formula feels like melted lipstick with a ton of silicone added to get a slippy but creamy texture similar to over-whipped cream on the edge of becoming butter. Maybelline vivid matte lipstick is a liquid lipstick applied with a wand and is more of a cream than a traditional bullet and its formula is similar to the cream-liquid glosses that were popular in the late 90s.This colour Nude Flush is a pinky-brown tone mimicking fleshy lips which looks a bit blah in the tube and on first application it looks a bit bright on my super pale skin if applied lightly it settles into a 'better than natural' colour and a really flattering shade of nude. This shade is definitely a rare one for me as nudes are difficult with my skintone and is a year round day nude/natural colourIt isn't going to stop traffic but it is a great choice if you find nudes too brown orwarm. The formula feels like melted lipstick with a ton of silicone added to get a slippy but creamy texture similar to over-whipped cream on the edge of becoming butter. Maybelline========I've tried a few of these Vivid lipstick and I adore them all. It glides on really easily and the application causes no problems at all.For me the colours are classy but have that 'wow' factor. They are not entirely matt but it's also not the other end of the spectrum: a lip gloss. They're understated. Fresh look and, dare I say it about myself... a little sexy.Leaves the lips looking moist but not shiny. Suitable for daytime and night-time.PROSStunning colour.Good brandboldlasts about 6 hoursno bleedingapplicator brushmore accurateVIVID MATT=========It's called Vivid matt but I think they are just right. Not garish, and not "have they got lipstick on?" Just right.LOTS====There are lots in the range.I particularly like the No 20 but all of them are beautiful.COLOUR========Suitable for 'day to day' use and going out.LIPSTICK=======A little wand of colour. Although it's a standard lipstick I find the applicator wand much more accurate to use.APPLICATION===========Apply to lips and it lasts for 6 hours and after that a little hint of colour.PROS=====Applies well and is smooth and easy.good brandgreat valuegood range of colourslong lastingCONS=====noneGORGEOUS==========I cannot tell you enough how gorgeous all the colours are. As lipsticks they are easy to have in your handbag (small and cute) and they have a little moisturising effectTESTING=======In the evening whilst out (obviously for the purpose f the review) I only had to apply once all night with the colour staying on throughout the whole evening.OVERALL========If you're after a reasonably priced lipstick these are ones to put on your shortlist.

I am reviewing the Maybelline Vivid Matte Lipstick Number 15, Electric Pink. Here are my thoughts:^^ This is a matte lipstick that is actually quite glossy when it is put on, however, this soon sinks in and leaves lips looking moist.^^As for this bright pink colour, it certainly is an electrifying and vivid pink, more so than I expected. I have previously tried the red before and it was just too much for me colour wise. This is an equally bright pink wish a kind of reddish tinge, but somehow it suits me better pinker rather than orangey red.^^ It has a nice applicator brush, which makes it easier to put on smoothly, and is therefore more accurate.^^The lipstick has a creamy, velvety feel to it on my lips and keeps them very moisturised.^^ Don't forget to prep your lips beforehand, it makes lippy stay on much longer, which in turn saves money,Overall:As a personal choice I would have preferred a lighter, pale pink than this shocker, but it does suit me and I am surprised about that. I do love that it is long lasting and where the lippy licks off, it's still pretty and tinted underneath, so it feels longer lasting. If you choose the right colour for you, I am sure you will love the look and feel of this lipstick on.Disclosure:I was supplied a free or discounted sample for test and evaluation purposes in return for my honest and unbiased opinion. It is my hope that my views, whether positive or negative, will help other potential buyers make up their own minds. Thank you for reading. This is a stunning, vivid, lurid, fucsia pink that stands out in every way and makes no apology for it. Though I'm a lover of baby pink/nudes which tend to suit my light Asian skin, I love bright pinks but can't often wear them (clothing or make up). This is brilliant and worth every penny of the price, even if I hate the jasmine scent that's the same with every shade that I've tried (the smell lasts about 15 mins or until dry, before it's gone). This colour will suit all skin tones without making them appear washed out. Some of the pinks I've tried wouldn't suit anything other than olive toned or Caucasian skins, as they'd just appear as a vague sheen against anything darker, but this is so bold and bright it'll brighten up your appearance.Unlike the lighter shades, this lasts well because the darker pigments in the colour stain the skin (so much so that after 7/8hrs use, I have to use an oil-based pad or moisturiser on cotton wool to remove it). It's not a true matte, but it looks like a moisturising lipstick that won't dry the lips out. It goes on more smoothly than lighter shades and only needs one application per bottom and lower lip for perfect coating. The wand doesn't pick up too much colour and is nicely tapered that you don't need to outline lips to get them neat; this goes round the edges and makes a perfect outline. If you love pink and need something with staying power, this is the colour for you.

The Number 15, Electric Pink in this Vivid range lipstick is great. The Maybelline range has always been good, so we expected nothing less, really, but the ease with which this is applied and the look are certainly worth recommending this.Like the Coral Courage colour, we were surprised at just how bright the pink was, it's a bright, eye-catching colour that really needs someone who can wear a strong pink. It didn't suit my wife for daytime, but would look fine for an evening with a bright coloured dress to offset the colour. Obviously, different skin tones might find this more suitable to every day wear and the colour itself certainly looks good and solid when applied. The only thing I'd mention is that the colour doesn't look like the outside of the bottle, which comes in a clear case with a vivd logo and nice black lid; simple and effective design that doesn't overstate things. As this is liquid lipstick, it comes on a brush in the lid, rather than a standard pop-up lipstick. My wife finds this actually easier to apply and with a better result at the end. It doesn't need a lot of liquid to get a good result, either, so should last a while. The resulting look is somewhere between a true matte colour and a glass or moisturised lipstick, it's not overly shiny but not as dull as a matte at the same time. It stayed on well during the day, too.

This Number 20, Coral Courage Vivid range lipstick is great. The Maybelline range has always been good, so we expected nothing less, really, but the ease with which this is applied and the look are certainly worth recommending this. The colour is pretty vivid, I guess that's to be expected considering the name of the range! As with a few others in the range, it's brighter than expected and very, very pink! I don't think my wife could pull this off for every day use, it needs a complexion that can wear bright coloured lipstick, but it's ideal for the evening and for those wanting something a little more eye catching. The only thing I'd mention is that the colour in all the ones of these that we've tried doesn't look like the outside of the bottle, which comes in a clear case with a vivid logo and nice black lid; simple and effective design that doesn't overstate things. As this is liquid lipstick, it comes on a brush in the lid, rather than a standard pop-up lipstick. This is a stunning, deep red that reminds me of the matte reds that my mum has used since the 60s. It's a bold, strong colour and isn't anything like it looks in the bottle, which is more of a burnt sienna/terracotta colour. I had been wanting to see what orange might look like against my light Asian colouring, but this is clearly red, not orange (tested on my guinea pig - aka, Caucasian hubster).I don't normally wear reds, as I have yellow tones to my skin and some reds make me look washed out and a bit ill, but this is pretty good. It'll suit all skin tones , as it will stand out against any complexion, rather than blending in/fading.Unlike the lighter shades, this lasts well because the darker pigments in the colour stain the skin (so much so that after 7/8hrs use, I have to use an oil-based pad or moisturiser on cotton wool to remove it). It's not a true matte, but it looks like a moisturising lipstick that won't dry the lips out. My normal aesthetic is bright red lipstick but decided I needed a more subtle color for days I want to go unnoticed, and who can say no to a Nude Thrill? The color is fairly true to what is shown, obviously it depends on the monitor settings when you're viewing this page and it's hard to tell true colour from a web site, it's not really what I'd consider a nude but is a lot more pink/coral in colour than a more neutral beige type colour. It's kind of matte, but not really - it's not shiny like a gloss but it's really not much different to a normal lipstick in terms of how matte it is - as it's a liquid you do feel like you're applying a gloss,it's kind of tacky and a little difficult to apply neatly or get the right amount of product on the stick to apply it without over-loading. The wand is fairly standard, no special shape to it so that just adds to the difficulty of applying correctly. The scent is slightly sweet but it isn't very strong and doesn't last for very long. The lipstick itself lasts fairly well, at least it lasted through a few gin and tonics, and being a liquid it's not drying on the lips at all so I didn't feel like I had to apply lip balm underneath or over the top during wear. It's good, but it's just not really matte and not really nude!

This Number 25, Orange Shot Vivid range lipstick is great. The Maybelline range has always been good, so we expected nothing less, really, but the ease with which this is applied and the look are certainly worth recommending this. The colour is pretty vivid, I guess that's to be expected considering the name of the range! I have to admit that I’m very pale skinned and not nearly as glamorous as I would like to be when it comes to my make-up choices.I’ve always loved the dramatic, dark lipped look - especially in bright reds and berry stained colours - but they’ve never really suited my colouring or given me the look that I’ve desired. Until now…This Maybelline Vivid Matte Liquid comes in a pretty square container. The black lid is a twist off and attached to that is a sponge like applicator. The applicator is easy to use and makes it easy to put as much or as little lipstick on the lip as you would like.It does say it’s a matte look but it’s not as severe or flat as many other matte products I have tried. Instead,it gives a smooth look but with enough shine to make it that extra bit special. As I said before - this colour is perfect for someone of my colouring (dark blonde/light brown hair and pale skin). The name of the colour, No. 40, Berry Boost, is as accurate a name as you can get for a lipstick. It’s as juicy as raspberries and definitely gives a good boost to your look. I would be looking to wear this on a night out or for a special occasion and would highly recommend this product and this particular colour. 5 stars.
