I used to use an expensive liquid foundation with a dusting of powder overy the top to stop shine. That was great until recently when I found the powder had started to cake with the foundation, making me look a right mess. I tried just foundation without powder but the shine just made me look like I had a sweaty face and alas my skin isn't nice enough to use powder alone. After trying several different liquid foundations to see if any of them were any better I came to this. All I can say is....It really is a dream! It glides onto the skin beautifully and blends without fault. Leaving a perfectly matte and flawless complexion. I thought my face might develop shine after a couple of hours but I was proven wrong.Matte all day even in hot summer weather. I also love the speed of this product. It dosn't need a lot of fuss to get it on. With two kids under the age of 5 that's a big plus. The coverage is light to medium, I do need to use a concealer for under my eyes as this won't cover dark circles. All in all I'm very happy. No more cake face. A very natural look. Has ut my makeup application time down. All I need to point out is that you need to keep your face exfoliated and moisturised as the mousse will make dry skin very obvious. I use a heavy night moisturiser before bed and a very light moisturiser in the morning as a base.

I swear, this foundation is the best for being on a budget!I'm always hunting for discounts and offers, so when I saw my favourite mousse foundation on offer for £5 via price comparison sites, I actually bought 4 of them! (I think the price differs between £6 and £8 depending on stock turnover, and when a shade is in abundance, it drops! And this beauty was a fiver!)I have combination skin... the odd dry patch and a lovely shiny T zone! When I'm using this, I don't faff on with any "beauty regimes" or whatever, it's perfect enough to get up, wet wipe your face and slap on... not literally. But no, when I'm heading out, I tend to use a light moisturiser on my face; usually something with cucumber and vitamin E/A in,just for a base to moisten the odd dry patch and act like a primer... then it's a case of smoothing it over (I use my fingers... no need for fancy sponges or brushes when you're on a budget), and then applying any concealer AFTERWARDS to hide any blemishes.Perfect medium coverage and lasts for hours. You'd be mad not to try some.

I love this product so much, whilst a majority of my makeup is now MAC this is the one product I always come back to. I haven't tried it as a standalone product on my skin, but I put this on before my foundation and it really improves the look and feel of my skin. It glides on so smooth, it feels wonderful when you're applying it. The colour matching is great, I have quite fair skin and I wasn't sure what colour I had previously purchased, so on a whim I bought the ivory colour, which turned out to be the wrong one I had used light beige beforehand.. but the colour still matched my skin tone. Phew! This product really covers my blemishes very well and I have eczema/dry skin on the face,I have to say whilst it does not cover dark circles 100% it does combat the appearance of being a zombie in the early hours of the morning.. one application and my face looks a lot more alive than it did.

This maybelline product is also called mousse, because the texture is slightly creamy. This means that when you put it on, it is softer than a powder and blends in better with the skin, but is not fully liquid either and can be smoothed in better.I don't use a lot of foundation and this is the best solution for me since I can apply it only in several areas when my face gets a bit red and I don't need to cover the whole surface evenly (like it happens with liquid foundations when if you don't apply it all over, you can tell where the foundation ends and where the foundation free skin starts). My last dream mat mousse lasted me over a year and then I changed it only because I didn't want to use it for so long because of my sensitive skin. The nude mousse is the best cause it fits with more complexions and it's great if your skin tone changes slightly after you tan in the summer.

This must be my favorite foundation I've ever used!! The coverage is a 2-3 out of 3 which is great for covering marks and acnes. The foundation suits also oily skin, just perfect for toning down my sharp T-zone! Sizewise, the jar is small, but the consistence is thick and puffy which enables you to cover surprisingly A LOT with a JUST a small amount of product. I have used mine almost everyday for over a month now and the product looks as if I haven't used any. Soo amaxing!! Another pro with the jar is that you get to use every single product. Talk about getting a lot for your money here, compared to MAC where a whole bunch of product gets stuck in the sides of the bottle and impossible to get out unless you attempt breaking the glass with an axe or something :/Maybelline wins on this one for sure!

I've been using this product since I was a teen, because I like full coverage and this is easy to apply.Over the years I've tried other products but none suit my skin tone as well as this and it doesn't irritate my skin, something I found happened with a lot of other products. Now that I've upgraded how I do my makeup the look is flawless - I have combination skin - I apply it by hand then blend with a brush it does so absolutely efortlessly. I've never had it go cakey and once it's sat, gives a great matte finish.I know some people really look down at this foundation, thinking it a beginners product, but honestly it's been my favourite for years. You don't need loads to achieve full coverage so the pot lasts a lot longer than you'd think looking at it.

What can I say about this, it is the best foundation I have ever bought, I use a makeup brush to apply this, though I always put on a primer base first, its goes on really nicely, I would not buy this online, I have seen photos and comments about this that is been damaged or lying about for a while until it is being sold for a cheaper price, iv uploaded two photos, I bought the foundation in a local Tesco store, they are roughly £7.59 each, sometimes they have deals on, buy two get one free, which is great, but the pic I uploaded is what it should look like, I buy them sometimes n there ain't alot in it but it goes along way in my opinion, I do recommend this foundation if u lot like mousse type foundations,I really hope my review helps, x

I am 14 and I have blemishes and oily skin so I decided to get this product to make my skin more matte and less shiny, it does help stop my skin from getting too shiny especially around my nose. This product is light- medium coverage so if you have spots then I suggest you add a powder on top with high coverage.I really like the texture of this product it is fluffy and feels nice on my skin.Because I have oily skin it tends to come off a little towards the evening so either put a primer on or a powder to set it.Overall I really like this product and recommend it to someone who doesn't have spots to coverup, but on the areas that I don't have spots it is really smooth and looks great all over my face.Hope this helped

Maybelline Dream Matte Mousse has always been a firm favourite of mine and the public it seems as it has won so many awards. With this particular foundation, it feels like a Mousse but when applied to the face it gives a powder, matte effect. So wearing this as and nothing else underneath you aren't going to get great results. What I do is I apply my concealer, then my BB cream, then I apply this to my face to give it a nice colour and matte feel. This foundation needs to be a finish rather than a base.I ordered the colour Ivory and unlike other foundations it really is perfect for my pale skin. I couldn't recommend enough.

I bought this to try a new foundation, and at the same time I bought the rimmel 25 hour foundation. I unfortunately chose the wrong shade... I picked up porcelain, which made me look like I'd been simultaneously tangoed and sunburnt. Realising my mistake, I figured I might as well test the other aspects of the foundation itself (coverage, texture). It seems to give really good non oily coverage which would be great with the right skin tone. I imagine it's quite buildable! The texture is lovely and a real pleasure to use. Not really figured out the best way of applying it, but once I grab the *right* tone (Ivory) I'll update!

Great for dark brown skin women, for evening out facial skin tone. Was disappointed, as I ordered two and one jar was broken with shattered pieces of glass in the contents of the jar, which meant it could not be used for safety reasons, so had to return it, as this was very dangerous. Obviously it's quite possible that this would have occured during transit perhaps and not before but the other jar was fine. Like I expressed before, great quality product, but no real thought however, given to the product packaging (i.e. "glass") which would have prevented the item from damage in the first place.

I love how the Dream mousse looks on my skin and it's easy to apply and blend. It can get messy, so using an applicator sponge suits me best. The coverage is superb and doesn't clog up my pores like other foundations. It is by far my best make up product. I've yet to find a suitable powder though, as this mousse can leave your nose a bit shiny. However, that's one very minor niggle. On the whole I'm pleased with this foundation and it's light and makes my face appear smooth.

Haven't used this product yet, but have been desperate to buy it for months. Pot was sealed with a sticker, but no plastic wrap like the ones in the shop. Not a problem to me as I opened it and it was unused. Can't wait to use this, have tried it on my hand in the shop and gives very good coverage.Delivery was slow for 'express delivery' - more like standard delivery! Ordered it on Thursday (dispatched late on Friday) and got the following Tuesday - not very 'express!!'

I've always been a huge fan of maybellines dream matte mousse products. I have combination skin so liquid foundation tends to leave my skin too oily, this product suits my skin perfectly and doesn't dry it out or make it greasy. It is easy to apply and covers well. I had hesitations about ordering due to the price I normally pay in the shops but the product arrived sealed and looked the same as I would get in the shops. Will buy again from here!

I have been using this product for years. The Caramel shade is brilliant; it feels light weight but the coverage of my skin discolourations is absolutely brilliant. I just found out that Maybelline has discontinued this product and haven’t replaced it with anything. (The liquid Foundation in Caramel doesn’t offer adequate coverage). Why have they done this? Don’t people with darker skin tones deserve decent products that are effective?
