This Maybelline Bar Palette is a decent sized make-up pack for reasonable amount money – my wife absolutely loves the Burgundy colour shades included here. The palette itself is nicely produced, and an applicator / brush is included; the Burgundy colour shadows do seem to be of a good quality at the price. The Maybelline New York brand has been around for years, they are now a subsidiary of the French company L'Oréal and have over 200 products with availability in 129 countries around the world – this new product is actually made in Italy. The illustrations on the Amazon Product Page don't really do justice to how the palette looks in real life and the colours are really vibrant when seen close up.

I really like this eyeshadow set. All the shades are shimmery except the last two on the right, which are matte. There's a lovely selection of colours, all quite bold and the shimmer is quite intense. The pigment is really dense, and just a sweep of the brush leads to a deep colour. The colour goes on smoothly and easily, and it is quite strong - literally only a little is needed.On the back of the palette are key combinations of adjacent shades, you can choose to use a set of two, three or four colours. I tried this but my make up skills are obviously lacking because whatever I do the deep purple/burgundy shades just make me look like I have a black eye!

L'Oréal======They are the largest cosmetics company in the world. They have loads of brands from Garnier, L'Oréal and have huge research facilities in respect of cosmetics. Just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're the best. Equally, just because they're the biggest doesn't mean they're evil. I've tested loads of L'Oréal stuff ranging from WOW this should be on the NHS to Oh my golly gosh-this is dreadful.OK? Let's go..WHAT IS IT=========A palette of L'Oréal eye shadows. 12 beautiful colours.A rather fetching and modern set of eyeshadows. I'd say they're more suited to under 40s. It's a modern burgundy palette and they all look lovely on.

So I ordered this AGES ago and I haven't used it much apart from when I first got it (when I was largely inexperienced with makeup) and recently when it was in a project pan of mine.She shades finger Swatch beautifully but try as I might, I couldn't get that same colour pay kfft. I had no idea why.Anyway. With a glitter glue primer (cheapo one will work. I tried the revolution one.) And building it up, you can get that gorgeous colour payoff.The glitter shades work really well like this.I'm not keen on the dark matte shade, I find that it applies patchy, but the light matte is decent.This isn't a vegan palette. Something I wasn't aware of when I purchased it. And also something that wasn't in my radar at the time.

I really love this palette. The burgundy tones really suit my blue/green eyes and with 12 shadows (10 shimmer, 2 matte) there is an abundance of different possible looks. There is a little bit of fallout as is the usual with these types of palette but nothing that can't be tidied up with a little bit of concealer.The included applicator is not much use and for best effect you will need a flat brush for application, a fluffy brush for blending and a decent smudging brush for the under eye. If you're not confident about applying makeup there are guidelines on the base for different looks using two, three or four of the shadows.If you're looking for a natural,

This is a really pretty selection of burgundy colours that would be ideal to use every day for a quick low key look or they could be used to make a dramatic look for going out. This palette has everything I need! It includes a range of warm and cool shades which are matte, satin and shimmery.I really enjoy the quality of these eyeshadows as they are very pigmented and they are easy to blend out too. This is very impressive for the price since you don't usually get such good quality in cheaper eyeshadows.I think I will be looking for more eyeshadows from maybelline because they are so affordable and good value for money!

This is hygiene sealed, which I like to see. It is called the Burgundy Bar but I would actually say the colours are more shades of beige and brown. There is a pale ecru colour, a sparkly beige, a mid-copper, a russet, a mid-brown and a couple of dark browns. I would say five of these colours have a high degree of sparkle and five are matteish.On the reverse there is some instructions for using the shades as duos, trios or quads. That is always helpful.I would recommend this allows anyone who is happy to wear beige, brown, rust and brown shades. So – great if you like shades of brown.

I was a little sour when this first arrived because on of the colours had broken and it made a mess of the whole palette. Once it got cleaned up though, I found some really great colours that well suit green eyes in particular. Be aware, they are dark colours I would only ear at night. Even that top right one comes out surprisingly dark. But I find myself using the palette again and again. The colours compliment each other and make the green in my hazel eyes pop. I suspect I will buy the palette again once I had worked my way through my favourites.

I love the colours which are perfect for Autumn. They are definitely more sparkly than they appear in the picture, but luckily not too sparkly once applied. I really like the mix of darker and lighter shades for contouring. My one reservation is that there is only one applicator, with a tiny brush one end and a sponge the other: why not have two or even four small double ended wand applicators instead. I've put my own in so that I can use different colours daily without ruining the palette by mixing the colours up.

I passed this to my daughter-in-law as these colours suit her better than me. These are her comments:On first impression the packaging does feel a bit flimsy and cheaper than other well known brands, but the actual product is great value for money.Lovely set of colours, easy to apply eyeshadow which went on very smoothly with no falling particles like you get with some powders! I think I would use majority of the colours which are suited very much to my olive skin tone.Would definitely recommend.

This is a lovely pallet of brown, burgundy and gold shades all shimmery except for to matt shades. These colours are just in time for xmas festivities. On the back of the pallet is a combination chart for duos,trios and quads shades which I found really helpful. I do not wear dark shades to well so applied the colours very lightly and built them up gradually and after a bit of practice was very pleased with the results. This would make a great stocking filler or secret Santa.

I love the glam and glitz of this set of colours and there is a nice selection of autumnal colours - great to add a bit of warmth and glitter to winter party outfits. There are a couple of matt colours, but the bold, warm colours are perfectly suited to sparkles and the colours, whilst muted in the main, include a few stronger shades including some redder colours, which aren't quite to my taste, but which are quality nonetheless.

The colours in this eyeshadow pallet are beautiful! The picture on here really does not do the colours justice as they are really vibrant and glittery in real life. The set comes with an applicator brush with a pad at one end and a brush at the other. The eyeshadow goes on beautifully and coverage is really good. So impressed with the quality! Highly recommend.

This is a lovely evening set of eye shadows - 2 of the colours are matte - a dark brown and a more neutral warm beige. All the rest have a shimmer and range from plum through browns to gold and very light gold - lovely.There's a brush and a sponge applicator tool The only thing lacking is a mirror and that isn't a serious drawbackGreat for the festive season
