For the last couple of years I’ve been using Maybelline Volume Express Colossal 100% Black which I’ve always liked, but my last one had just finished so when I was asked if I’d like to review this I said yes.I’ve seen Maybelline Falsies Mascara advertised on the TV and wondered if it could make my lashes appear thicker and longer, I’ve always wanted better looking eye lashes but didn’t fancy trying false ones.To put this mascara on you have to hold the brush with the curved side up to your lash, then go from root to tip and then repeat till you achieve the desired effect that you want, but you haven’t to let the mascara dry between coats.Now I’ve always found all mascaras can still have too much on the brush,

This does give a very full lash and the colour is dramatically black, you will get noticed wearing it.Because of the brush being curved it is easy to reach those tiny lashes on the corners that often get missed out, I sometimes find myself making more of a mess trying to get at them with regular brushes and tend to leave them.Bottom lashes are easier to coat with this as well, just one coat was enough to give me the desired look.Lashes are still flexible which is a bonus, no hard mascara to flake off after a while.It comes off when you want it to, I used a L`Oreal remover and also tried Liz Earle Eye Bright, both did a good job.As with any mascara there is a certain amount of clumping the lashes together,

I've always liked Maybelline, since the days when it had the cachet of being US only and I enjoyed using this mascara - the "falsies" name is light hearted and the packaging is purple with a black lace print - this isn't a "classic" product, but it does do a good job of lengthening lashes.Surprisingly for a volumiser, the mascara is quite thin. The curved applicator is excellent for fine initial definition although it did take quite a few brushes to get the mascara building up on the lashes and you have to keep going as once the mascara dries you can't apply more, unless you're aiming for the "dead flies" look. Mascara stays put for at least 14 hours with no flaking and if its not quite as dramatic as false lashes,

I have used this mascara a few years previously, and been fairly impressed with it. It seems to be the same formula now, with the same strangely shaped brush! This spoon-shaped brush can take a bit of getting used to, but once you get the hang of using it, it does give good results.I find that this mascara does give me long, defined lashes without clumping, which is great, and they do look pleasingly dark. It doesn't tend to thicken the lashes as much as I would like though, so they can look a little spindly. The mascara is also prone to smudging, so I tend to use a clear waterproof mascara over the top to seal it.Overall I like the mascara, it is reasonable value and it definitely does lengthen lashes and avoids blobs.

I was a bit dubious about this mascara, thinking that it was going to be gloopy and heavy, and probably impossible to apply without clumping. Wrong. The brush is curvy, with many soft bristles and came out with just the right amount of mascara for one even coat from the first go. My lashes are curled upwards, and look longer, but separated and natural after one coat. Good daytime look. The instructions state that if you want to add more layers, you need to apply whilst the previous coat is still wet. I did this, and it did add another layer evenly and cleanly. This gives a great evening look. I didn't go for more layers for a truly falsy look, but it looks like you could keep going and still get great results.

Just super! This, along with every other mascara from Maybelline is a great, with a wonderful wand, according to my mother! The wand itself is excellent - it's not made of the traditional bristles you've come to expect, but a wand made rubber spikes, which do a great job at separating the lashes more effectively than a traditional wand. The look of the lashes after using this product is great, and look greatly improved with the appearance of greater volume and more length. As for the claims for it being waterproof, they are 100% founded - my mother had this product on all day and even forgot to take it off before bed. She woke up without any trace of panda eye!

The first thing I noticed about this mascara is the neat design and compact container. It sits very comfortably in the hand and makes application easy. The colour is striking and attractive.The brush is curved which also makes the mascara simpler to apply and you get a good upward sweep on the lashes. The mascara is smooth and separates the lashes well. I applied 3 coats ensuring that the mascara did not dry between coats. This gave an impressive look to my lashes. They looked full, long and dark. I curled my lashes beforehand and it gave a terrific sweeping curl once the 3 coats were applied.One disappointment.....the lower lashes did smudge after a while which was a shame.The mascara was

Maybelline Mascara Falsies is good, but not spectacular.Maybelline makes the claim that this mascara will give you 300% more visible lashes corner-to-corner with no gaps, but it did not deliver as it just lengthened lashes rather than giving any volume and it gave more of a spider-legs look than a look of false lashes as implied by the name of the product. As a mascara it's generally good in that it goes on easily and it doesn't dry-out or fall apart, but it just didn't do much for my lashes - if you're looking for length on your lashes this one may be for you, but there's little to no volume to be had even if built-up.

Love the fancy lace pattern on the chunky tube. Nicely shaped brush that gets right against the lash line. First coat went on very smoothly with no clumps. The first time I used the mascara I wasn't quick enough applying the second coat to get the falsie effect so did find clumping in the second coat. Quick comb through with a spare clean wand solved the problem with no flaking. Next time I applied the second coat almost straight away and there was no clumping and definitely a much more intense thick effect.I would say one coat for daytime wear and 2+ costs for a night time look.

Great product and cheaper than drugstore prices. Best mascara I've used so far. My eyelashes look much longer and less clumpy. I have an issue with my inner lashes not taking well to mascara as they either clump or lengthen in a different direction to the lash line. This product helped a lot.I would definitely still recommend an eyelash curler before use as mascara always ways down your lashes. There's no point in them being longer if it's not noticeable. They do drop down tho but they are still more visible with the curler.

Oh wow!!!! Boy is this a very good mascara. The brush is chunky and coats every lash. Plus the black is a true black. I have never had such good coverage from a mascara. The brush doesnt get over loaded and clog up your lashes so you look like a 1960's Twiggy. But what i would stress is this. DONT let the lashes dry between each coat. If you do it will clump your lashes. Just apply coat after coat. This is perfect. if you are looking for the right mascara then go for this one.

This gives jet black lashes that make your eyes really "pop".I use a couple of coats for a dramatic look and when I put my glasses on my lashes scrape against the lens!The brush is good at getting a really good coating of mascara on each lash, from root to tip.I have had no flaking from this mascara and no eye irratation either.It is worth noting that you can get the dreaded clumps/ spidery lashes if you leave the mascara to dry before adding another coat.

I like this as mascaras go. Haven't bought this brand for a few years so thought I would give them another go. The mascara is a good black. The brush has a slight curve and lots of bristles. The wand is on a flexi hinge which helps apply without pushing against your eye. I wear contact lenses and haven't had any issues. It does dry fairly hard, but not so much that your lashes are brittle. Comes off well with normal make up remover.

Im not really one for wearing loads of make-up but I like a bit of mascara. This one comes in a nice trendy tube.The brush is curved giving you more control over where it goes. With the curved brush it means that it stays on your lashes and not on your face, With a straight brush I always get it on my face by the corners of my eyes.It definitely makes lashes look a lot thicker and longer. In my photo I have mascara on one eye only.

I handed this one to my obliging wife to test. she really liked it, and not just because it was free! The mascara goes on well, and stays where you put it. The colour is a very rich, dense black, with just a little shine to it. The only negative thing is the awful-looking bottle, which makes it look a bit cheap. That said, it's not the most expensive mascara out there.It just happens to be one of the best out there.
