This is a true black-black mascara, as you can see against my Asian skin. And, you can see what it's done to my lashes - the left side is me mascara'd up and the right is au naturel. I have so much more added length and a decent curl that I look like a Kewpie doll.The wand is pretty long at just under an inch long, but that length lets me cover pretty much all of my lashes in one go, with just a bit of tweaking from the tip to go over the edges of my eye and inner eye area. The only complain that I have is that the tip seems to grab a lot of mascara and you need to wipe a fair bit to avoid waste, but despite being careful, I ended up with mascara smeared over the top of the tube.The tube has a flat side so that it can be laid down without it rolling around,which is a plus if you're rushing to do your make-up, and it also has a wide flat base so that it'll sit 'standing up' with no risk of toppling over when it's open or shut, so good design, Maybelline. And, it's catchy with the baby(ish) pink and black tube, with rose gold lettering.Lasting power - well, this lasted a good 5 hours with only the tiniest bit of feathering, which was only because I wiped under my eyes a little out of tiredness. And, it is easy to come off - I just used one of those make-up removers with a layer of oil at the top that you shake and apply to cotton wool and off it came quick and easily. I've washed and wiped my face against a pale towel and not a hint of colour remains. I've not tried it with water, so can't comment on how waterproof it is.Overall, for what you get, for the quality and appearance and effect, it's a good product, with only 1* deducted as this is on a par with some Big Name brands (Revlon, l'Oreal), rather than with high street brands, of which Maybelline is one.

To be honest, I do normally buy a waterproof mascara as my eyes tend to run at the slightest provocation - wind, rain, sun, etc, much more than other people's I note. But surprisingly, this mascara didn't run too much even in high wind, even though it is not advertised as waterproof as such. I don't have thin or light coloured lashes, so normally go for one that is fairly bog standard, not especially meant for lengthening or thinkening up etc. I did like the way this mascara went on, the brush is easy to use, the tube is easy to hold onto with one flattish side and it is a real mascara size, not a fiddly little thing, like many of them are. No problems, would highly recommend as it did the job and lasted all day.However, sadly, I have only given it four stars, for the simple reason, that I hate, hate, hate, that awful girly pink colour of the container. Maybelline what were you thinking of? If you are over fourteen, this feels a really cheap and tacky colour choice, and would probably have not picked it up in the shop, purely because of that. Sorry, love the product, but not every mature women wants to be a Barbie doll. Also, it should definately come sealed, for a product to be used near the eyes, not to do this is near criminal.

On opening the Total Temptation Mascara I was a little disappointed to see a thick, dishevelled looking brush and admit I didn't have high hopes as to how much I would like the mascara at this point. On first applying the mascara I was pleasantly surprised at just how well the brush seemed to coat every lash from root to end! I normally find myself wiggling mascara brushes through my lashes to try and get good coverage but it was simply not required with this brush. After just one coat my eyelashes looked perfectly preened - but being a bit of a mascara addict I ended up doing 3 coats to get the fuller look I wanted (surprisingly my eyelashes still felt soft and conditioned after 3 coats!).The best bit about this mascara for me is that I've just looked in the mirror 13 hours after applying the mascara and my eyelashes still look exactly the same as when the mascara was first applied this morning - with excellent lift, curl, coverage and separation - would definitely use this mascara again. I've been using the total temptation mascara for a couple of weeks now rather than my regular mascara and I have to say I love it. It has pros and cons just like any other product but it's definitely something I would consider switching to on a regular basis. When I first opened the mascara tube I was disappointed in the brush type as I've used the chunky bristle brushes before and they've made the mascara clump but this one applied it smoothly and evenly. It made my lashes look great and I was very happy in general of how it looked and how to felt to wear, however I did find that it didn't require a lot of moisture for it to start running but without any moisture it lasted really well without the need for re-application.The total temptation mascara was also easily and cleanly removed without leaving the gunky residue you can get with other mascaras. Coming home with a brand new hair cut and dye what could have better timing than the new Total Temptation Mascara from Maybelline. I knew exactly what it was as soon as i saw the packet! Putting in on before the school run meant i had the chance of more people seeing the amazing effect it makes. So easy to apply and not thick or clumpy at all. Friends kept commenting on how my new cut and colour was making my eyes look bigger and my eyelashes stand out. I let them them into the secret of my new mascara! After checking the mirror my eyelashes still looked great by the evening ready for my night out. Best bit of all, no big black panda eyes at the end of the evening. Another cracker by Maybelline, I don't mean to sound biased but I swear by this company especially their mascara.Well were do I start , very impressive large soft brush that just glides through your lashes without any scratching whatsoever, the formula is smooth and silky that adds real length and volume and as added coconut oil for added moisture.No clogging lashes just long and separated.The pretty in pink case is robust and as a very good secure lock, so no leakage.Maybelline cosmetics as been one of my BIG favourites for donkey years and I absolutely trust them with my facial appearance.So ladies get whipping up those fabulous lashes with this fabulous mascara by Maybelline.Maybe it's Maybelline,highly recommended.Great beauty that doesn't empty your purse.

I think this Mascara is great! The first thing I noticed was the smell! It’s easy to apply, coats every lash, isn’t sticky and makes my lashes look lovely and long with no clumping! I’m vey fussy with Mascara Wanda and usually go for comb types as it suits my lashes better so was abit skeptical when I noticed it was a bushy brush but it works great! It’s enriched with coconut extract and coconut is my favourite thing ever, I usually use coconut oil on my clean lashes before bed but don’t need to do this anymore as it’s in the Mascara! Great product and am glad I’ve found a new mascara that I wouldn’t usually go for! I’ve used the Mascara on one eye in my photo so you can see the difference just one coat makes![This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Before i got this product i would have liked to know what the brush looks like. My first impression before even using the mascara was that it smells really good. I like the mascara, it makes your eyelashes very long and the application is very smooth. Personally i thought that it sticks the eyelashes together but with a help of a spoolie brush that wasn't a big problem, it would help if the brush bristles were a bit more stiff that way it would separate the eyelashes better. No smudging or transferring on the the eyelids occurred which I'm happy about, there is nothing worse than having mascara all over your skin. i will definitely continue to use this product and would recommend it to a friend.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I just love total temptation mascara from maybelline new York. When looking for a new mascara I like to read reviews first for it's durability , look and how easy it is too apply . First impressions of this one are fab the packaging is very cute on opening you can smell a lovely coconut smell which is a first for me with mascara smells great . I tried it and if your like me I can't do my eye in one go perfect every time then this is perfect as wipes off mistakes very easily instead of having to scrub off and getting red eyes . Once I'd put on perfect my lashes were looking great very long and thicker I'll be recommending to my family and friends and will buy more .
