This is a nice little gift for someone, perhaps a secret Santa recipient or a stocking filler? The 3 polishes are fairly standard but it is presented nicely. The red and silver are very nice, and the other is a sparkly top coat. It isn't a dark polish as i's name (Black Magic) would imply. What I like is that it's inclusion gives you kind of a 3-for-1, in that you can put it over either of the other colours to glitz them up, or use it by itself.The real key to putting on the sparkle polish and getting a good density of sparkle is to paint it onto a make up sponge first. That sounds bonkers, but if you paint a small corner with a few layers, the sponge will take up the excess clear polish and leave a much denser layer of glitter,which you can then dab onto your nail. (Vaseline around the skin of the nail helps stop you looking like you just dunked your finger as you can easily wipe off the spillage.) If you are going to do that, you need the base coat to be already basically dry (happens quite quickly with this polish, luckily), and the glitter coat on your sponge to be still wet. Anyone not applying it this way is going to be kind of annoyed at how sparse the glitter is, and will need about ten coats to build it up!As far as chipping goes, it will obviously still chip as it isn't acrylic or a wrap, so this manicure will only do a few days depending on how hard you are on your nails. I'm pretty hard on mine and it only really lasted 2-3 days. I'd recommend putting another topcoat layer of Seche Vite over the top as that stuff can extend almost any polish by several days before it chips. It is also miraculous at drying all the layers of polish out and making them rock hard, to avoid the dreaded creases/wrinkles in your polish.

This set is festive, both in the packaging and in the colour selection. There are three bottles of nail polish, two main colours and one top coat and at first glance the top coat looks the most exciting, with dark sparkles giving hints of a fantastic Christmas party.Each of the bottles contain 7ml and the colours are 352 Downtown Red, 107 Watery Waste and the top coat is 337 Black Magic.The red and silver varnishes as easy to apply, although they are quite thin, the red looks great even with one coat, but the silver is quite subtle with one coat (quite nice daytime look), but you would definitely want a second coat for a party.Now to what I thought would be the highlight,but it is actually slightly underwhelming - it's not that it is bad, it gives nice dark grey metallic sparkles, but they don't spread as easily as you might like and in the bottle they look more dramatic than they do on the nail.Of the set the deep red is my favourite, leaving a great shiny gloss, but for a fun party look either the silver or the red with the sparkles is a fun and festive look.

This looks so cute for Christmas - great looking cracker style box. The 3 nail varnishes are full size in lovely big rounded bottles. There is a very good, deep, bright red and a matt silver polish. The black looking glitter bottle is a top coat - so actually dispenses clear on the nail with bits of a dark grey glitter through it. It is intended to be used over the red or silver polishes to add a bit of sparkle - it is not as exciting on as it looks in the bottle. My older teen daughters really liked this set - just the right sort of colours for them and for the coming Halloween and Christmas season. The polish came off easily enough with standard nail polish remover.You do need to let the base polish dry completely - with no tackiness before using the glitter top coat or it will not adhere and will ruin your base coat as well.

These 3 nail varnishes come in a cracker style packaging which makes it look nice and a great stocking filler or present. There are three nail varnishes in this set; downtown red, watery waste, and black magic.Downtown red is gorgeous and very festive, yet it could be worn all year round. Watery waste, my favourite, is a metallic silver that looks really nice, especially with tanned skin. Black magic is a clear polish with sparkly black flecks in it. Like with all nail polishes with glitter in them, it is hard to distribute the glitter evenly, but I think that it adds a nice finish to your nails.The fact that these polishes dry in 60 seconds is a bonus as I always smudge my nails,yet as they dry on your nails a lot quicker than most polishes, they don't smudge.

A nice set of Christmas colour nail varnishes. A deepish red- you can get quite a good finish with one coat. Dries pretty quickly. A solid silver which reminds me of a metallic sprayed car I had many years ago and a clear polish with sparkly bits. The density of 'bits' look high in the bottle but comes out quite thinly. This is fine if adding to a coloured base coat, but doesn't give a good effect on its own. These are not gel but standard nail polish so chip if you're using your hands a lot.The ingredients are on the box- the red has possibly the longest list I've ever seen on cosmetics

Love love love these nail polishes!! They are super xmasy and really sparkly for the festive period. What I love is the concept that you can put the glitter varnish over the coloured polish and it looks fab! THe glitter polish is not a stand alone varnish, it's designed to go over the other 2 polishes.They glide on really nice and aren't too thick. I found this polish lasted well on my nails and looked great for a gatsby party.Makes a really lovely stocking present or for secret santa. Fantastic price too! I had to do a double take to check it was right!!

A lovely little stocking gift, or something for the secret santa at work. The colours are very christmasy and bold. The glitter one is perfect for the christmas party. It would be great for a little girl also, who is just beginning to want to paint her nails, as the glitter will impress a lot! The middle white/pearl colour is not the strongest, and is probably the least desirable of the lot, however if you are just wanting something subtle, this is perfect for that. The packaging makes this feel like a little more than just three nail varnishes.

This is a great gift idea for someone you know who loves nail varnish. It's beautifully presented and is cleverly festively themed. This would be a great Secret Santa idea if you exchange nearer the beginning of December (so the recipient can get some use out of it over the festive period).However, be warned these are quite vibrant colours with a specific look so unless you're dead sure you're recipient likes and wears bright coloured nail varnish this is not a "safe" gift for a recipient you don't know well.

This is a nice little gift for someone who likes their nail colours. The packaging is attractive, the products are full size and they are three good colours for people who like their nails to look bold.Downtown red is a deep redWatery waste is a silverBlack magic is a glitter topcoat - clear polish with speckles of black glitter.They go on fairly thin, so you really need two coats but it goes on very smoothly. I've layered black magic over watery waste and it looks great.

Love the colours in this set! Really festive and on trend for the upcoming party season! I have always been a maybelline fan, and have purchased their nail varnishes in the past. You definitely have to apply a base coat, 2 Coats of the varnish and finish off with a top coat. I then had chip-free nails for almost a week without having to re-do them. Received lots of compliments, would definitely recommend!

I bought this while on a promo price and I'm very pleased with it.You get two colours red and silver, the black one is top coat to leave glitter. Please note this is a clear glitter topper not black varnish.At full price I think it's a little steep however these made great Christmas presents. The cracker box is fantastic and I have no issues with the quality of the varnish.

This is nice as a stocking filler for a pretean or young teanager. The colours complement each other and can be used seperately if prefered. The red kind of makes it festive but to be honest not bad for the Emo types too.The packaging is obviously novelty and to make it look like a bigger gift and that to one side the nail polish goes on well, dries as expected.

Lovely little polishes, the colours are perfect for the Christmas season and can be mixed and matched for accent styles - depending on your creativity you could do a lot nail art wise with these three.They dry reasonably fast but are better protected with a strong top coat to preserve the polish and provide a truly glossy shine.

A very reasonably priced stocking filler - three nail 60 second varnishes in Xmas party appropriate shades in a cracker-stylee gift box. 'Downtown Red' is a deep crimson, 'Watery Waste' , a metallic silver, and 'Black /magic' a clear topcoat with black glittery bits in it. Great little gift.
