I first tried the Shellac at a salon as I didn't want to invest a lot of money without knowing that it would actually work. Well it does! The polish lasts up to two weeks without chipping as long as you get a good seal on the tips (just brush a little polish on the front edge of your nail tip.) I watched the nail tech carefully and asked lot of questions - how long does each coat have to cure, why are you brushing polish on the front edge of the nail, what are you using to wipe off the nail now that the top is on, etc. (you have to wipe the nail off with a cotton pad soaked in alcohol to get the tackiness off after the last coat). The nail tech didn't use the wraps to remove the Shellac though. She soaked my nails in acetone and it took her forever to get them off. I decided to buy the wraps and am so glad I did. The salon tech also warned me not to use any kind of nail file on the nails after they've been finished because it will break the seal - I forgot, used a nail file and sure enough two days later the polish peeled right off that nail. If you're not sure about any step of the process, go to the CND website and watch their instructional video - I learned as much from that as I did from the nail tech. I can now have salon perfect nails without paying the high price. Well worth the investment.

I'm actually slightly disappointed with Tropix - I was hoping it would be more intense and more orange rather than pink. I found it a bit pale. I made the massive mistake of trying to apply it over Wildfire to get the more orange hue, but that didn't work at all as Wildfire is so much darker, so it Tropix streaked all over it. I assumed that since the bottom layer remains sticky that the two colours would mix a bit, of course the bottom layer of Wildfire had been under the lamp by that point, so it was partially solidified and I wasn't able to achieve any mixing. Had to wipe off the whole lot. May try putting Tropix on top of Wildfire without curing Wildfire first, but not sure that would work because Wildfire is just so much darker.I've seen Tropix around quite a lot, I think it looks great with tanned/darker skin, but I'm not sure it provides completely solid coverage, I think you can still just about make out the white tip of the nail underneath.

Shellac is the best thing to arrive in the non-artificial nail world for years, and "Red Baroness" is the pinnacle of its current spectrum. If I could award this seller six stars for customer service, I would. My first order was damaged by Royal Mail, leaving me extremely disappointed. The seller kept me informed all the way through, and as soon as the damaged parcel was returned to them they refunded my money immediately as they were, by now, out of stock until late January. I set myself a reminder to reorder at the end of the month, when out of the blue I was contacted to say they had a limited stock now available. I placed my order yesterday evening, and it arrived first thing this morning; the seller had sent it to me express as a goodwill gesture.I shall definitely be ordering more Shellac in the future, and this seller will always be my first choice. Great product, brilliant seller.

Nothing too exciting. Just a base coat you need if you want to apply the shellac colour.I am probably more excited to buy the top coat than this (at least you can see the shine of top coat) but it’s what it is and you are suppose to use this to protect the nail and make the colour/other coats to adhere better. Some people say it’s not real CND shellac if you don’t buy it from the specific supplier but I never noticed the difference and I buy CND shellac on Amazon often. It arrived in a bubble wrapped envelope, the bottle was bubble wrapped too, it wasn’t in the box but the box was added flattened; probably just so it could get through the post box.I had no issues with this since the product arrived safely and if I wanted I could fold the box, which would be intact and give it to someone as a present and it would be in perfect condition.

I use this product at home (I am not professionally trained, but have 8 years of doing my own gel nails) so I had the UV light already. I initially had a Shellac manicure at the local beauty college and really like it (but not the price). This system gives, by far, the longest-lasting nail polish manicure. Yes, gels last a lot longer, but I started having a sensitivity to a chemical in the process, so they weren't an option for me anymore. This way, I have a longer-lasting manicure but also have a little more flexibility in changing colors more often. One caveat: this doesn't really last the 2-3 weeks they tout. After a week the growout from my cuticle is pronounced enough that I want to have a "fill" (which I haven't tried yet)or a re-do. But during that same week, I have no chips and the color stays very shiny and looking like new.

I have gotten into the habit of buying CND Shellac polishes for my finance and she absolutely loves them. This is a nice deep purple colour that real stands out on the nails. There is a bit more effort involved with the whole application process and the time taken to apply, dry, re-coat etc. with a UV lamp used for drying and hardening the polish. However when done they look excellent and they last a lot longer too. This base & top coat is essential in that process, or so I am led to understand. The price can be a little off putting but you get what you pay for and even though I do not really understand all the nail polishing stuff I have to admit,I have been quite impressed with how good the CND product is.My other half always gets complimented on how good her nails look so that says something.

I just started doing my own nails after having them done in a salon for over 17 years. I had Acrylic but decided I needed to try to save a little money - my nail tech, who has been doing my nails for 17 years, was charging me $40 every 2 weeks. My nails always looked fabulous, and I wouldn't let anyone else do my nails, she's that good, but it was time to do my own!I read lotf of reviews about lots of Gel products and decided to try CND. I'm glad I did - it's a great product. I purchased a UV Light from Amazon and CND's Top & Base Coat, a few colors and was on my way! I used all as instructed and my nails are beautiful!I apply the gel polishes right over my own nails - and they look like they were done in a salon!I will continue to buy this product and I would definitely recommend!

Shellac is a UV light cured gel polish that lasts about two weeks. I have used OPI's Axxium gel polish and it destroyed my nails. I now use Shellac. This base coat goes on easily and cures quickly under the UV lamp. One item of mention is that to remove you need to use an acetone nail "wrap" for about 20 min to get the polish to come off easily. I make my own "wraps" by soaking cotton balls with acetone, placing the ball on my nail and covering with a 4 inch square of aluminum foil. Wait 20 minutes and the polish peels off like magic with no nail damage. Although this system takes more time compared to regular polish, it is long wearing under harsh conditions. The only reason you can't get more than two weeks out of a single coat of polish is because your nails will grow out.

Great product and reasonable delivery time considering it's shipped from the US.Yes the colour is very clear, not even barely pink, but this has nothing to do with the seller. It's about time CND shellac released proper, high-resolution photographs of colours after application or amended the colours of the bottles to reflect actual colours of the products. What's available on Google and Instagram isn't good enough either. The problem is CND Shellac in the UK is only to be sold to trained professionals and not self-taught individuals, including myself. I recommend you visit your beautician and get your nails done once or twice do get an idea on the actual look of the colours afterapplication.

I live in the U.S. and ordered quite a few different colors - Red Baroness is one of the best. On the U.S. Amazon site, you'll also see that this color has great reviews. (I thought this 5-star review needed to be added here because the other reviewer rated it one star based on not having received the product - I noticed because I was checking to see if price was better on the UK site, but it is not.)At salons, I've had manicures done with Gellish and Shellac. I preferred the Shellac manicures - but it needs to be done right (very thin layers & correct curing times; and make sure the nail is clean and a PH bond applied first).

I bought this as I was given a Shellac kit for Christmas and I fancied getting a few more colours to add to my collection. I was expecting this to be a sort of irridescent nude colour but it's actually a gold nail polish. This isn't a problem as I still like it, but I probably wouldn't use it everyday as I don't really like super glitzy nail varnishes for everyday use. My nails have stayed chip free for a week which is a much better performance than I get from traditional nail varnishes. This was delivered promptly and my delivery instructions were followed to the letter.I would not hesitate to order this product again.

This is a very basic red colour - a must in any collection of nail polishes! It's not as flaming/orange as the name would suggest and is a bit on the darker side. It's a matt colour, so no sparkly bits or shimmer. Goes on like a dream, no matter how thick or thin, the coverage always appears even, no streaking. Extra long wear, lasts well over a month if applied properly. I personally only ever remove it after the "undergrowth" becomes embarrassing.Please-please-please don't pick at your Shellac, only ever soak off with acetone. The one time I did scrape it off dry, my nails were ruined for 3 months after that.

I recently purchased all the CND Shellac products and love them. The only problem I have is with the curing light. I purchased an Ibd 1000 light here on Amazon and it will NOT cure this brand. I followed the directions perfectly, and still it didn't work. After reading around on the web, I discovered the best light to use is the CND one. Otherwise, the CND Shellac products are wonderful - very easy to use. The polish is a different consistency from regular polish and goes on evenly and smoothly. I love this new product from CND, and yes, it really does last two weeks if you apply and cure it the way CND suggests.
