Maybelline Baby Lips Color Crayon - Number 10, Sugary OrangeThis is a really lovely fun product presumably aimed at the teenage market. It's halfway between a lipstick and a lip balm, so a good way into lipstick for younger users. It produces a lovely rich colour on the lips - it's nice and thick - that stays on reasonably well. However, the more moisturising a lip product, the less time it seems to last. This one left a comedy ring of colour around the edge of my lips when I ate a meal. Overall though this is a lovely fun product that provides great colour and moisturisation.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* While there's only just over 2cm of useable product, this is around the same as regular lipstick* A pleasant combination of lip balm and lipstick* The product feels lovely and moisturising on the lips* Comes in a lovely orangey pink colour* Easy to apply=== NIGGLES ===* The writing on the tube is so tiny that, even wearing reading glasses, I cannot tell what the ingredients are or the weight of the product* The colour didn't stay on when I ate a meal (but to be fair lipstick never meets that test either), leaving a ring of colour on the outer edges of my lips and no colour on the main part* It's hard to choose cosmetics online because the colour you see on screen is unlikely to be the same as the one you get in the product (due to variables such as photographing the product and the screen you're viewing the website on) so you'd hope that at least the product 'in the flesh' would reflect the packaging; unfortunately it does not in this case. The packaging is very much orange, but the product itself is an orangey pink. For sale at the time of writing tis review at £5.99.

My wife tried this product, and was very impressed with it.“The colours of this balm are on the young side for me, but I am really pleased with this set. The lip balms are well presented and look good, both in the cardboard box or in your handbag, and because they are so brightly coloured they are easily seen in the depths of your bag so you cannot really lose them. The cap comes off very easily but is reasonably secure when clicked back on - it has not come off in my bag or pocket yet. The colours are good - more of a coloured lip balm than a lipstick, but they will tint your lips well and leave them well moisturized as well.As usual, you need to just twist the bottom of the tube in order to push the balm up; the tip of the balm is not flat as it is with some products, but gently rounded for easy application. There are two tubes of each type. The “candy red” , smells fruity and slightly strawberryish; the pink one, “creamy caramel”, has a perfume that reminds me of vanilla, but both of them are subtle and smell divine.I intend to buy some more of these as a Christmas gift for my grandchildren as they are very reasonably priced and the quality is very good and will last them for quite a while.”

The packaging for this gift set is nice, not overly Christmassy, but cute and wintry without too much excess cardboard and plastic. Inside are two full-sized lip crayons. They are both nicely moisturising and have a good amount of colour, which lasts well for both of them.I have attached pictures of both. I don't like the Creamy Caramel, because it is paler than my natural lip colour, and seems waxy and unflattering, despite the slight sparkle. However, others may like it. It tastes/smells vaguely of caramel, as per the name. I like the Candy Red much more. It is a very bright red, with a "pop" to it. It tastes of generic red fruit, like a lollipop. The colour is so strong that the wide blunt tip is a bit of a problem. It is hard to apply it precisely, but I think it is flattering, and makes my lips look fuller. I've been trying the Baby Lips range for a few years, and I think it has improved a lot. I got a really lovely one recently from a pound shop which is Chai Latte flavoured, and is a gorgeous reddish brown colour. If you see that one anywhere, I highly recommend it.

Maybelline Baby lips Colour Crayon is a product I liked to use as I loved the silky soft texture which treated my lips with everything which is needed to leave them feeling soft with no dry patches. The only thing I personally did not like was the colour as it was very red, and I mean tomato red which against my pale skin simply was not very attractive. This is up to your own skin tone and colour and whether you have the personality to carry off the bright colour but for me it made me stand out too much. I did find that if I blotted it well with a clean tissue this mellowed the colour which suited me better. Also if I mixed it with another coloured lipstick I could get a milder tone, and the fact that the product is so rich with lip conditioners meant I was still able to get the "treatment factor" which I did enjoy.I love the richness of this product and it is one which is made from everything that is good for lips. As a balm, it was perfect for my lips but the Candy red was simply too bright and garish for my personal taste.

This is a nice set, giving you two lip crayons from the Maybelline range. These are moisturising crayons that give a good rich colour when applied, and also have a pleasant taste/ smell to them.I personally don't particularly like the caramel shade, as it is not the pink colour of the outside casing, but a light brownish pink which is lighter than my natural lips and doesn't really suit me. The candy red is much more vibrant and gives a real pop of colour. It works well for day or night. Both shades have a sheen to them when applied, rather than being matte and they feel like a balmThese are very wide tipped products and are soft and easy to apply, although you may want to have some tissue/cotton buds on hand as it can be tricky sometimes to get a precise line between your lip and skin. I have found that once it is on it doesn't bleed on me at all though and lasts hours. The outer packaging is pretty, so this could be a gift set for someone who likes lip colour.

This is a more "grown up" version of the very successful Maybelline Baby Lips balms which are popular in the tween/teen age group. Individually, these moisturising lip crayons retail at £5.99 each so there is a slight saving (at time of writing) in buying the gift set plus it looks pretty! The colour pay off is good, not quite on a par with much more expensive brands but still very good value.Personally, the caramel colour drains me and gives me a fighting chance of being an extra in The Walking Dead but this is targeted at younger folk who might favour the Kardashian/Jenner look. The red is more me as it gives the face a much needed pop of colour although I prefer a slight touch of lip liner to prevent the colour wandering off and venturing into Walking Dead territory once more. Both crayons smell like sweeties, caramel and cherry lollipop.A lovely gift idea for teens or anyone who doesn't want to spend silly amounts of money on lip crayons.

This lip balm comes in a pack of two crayons, creamy caramel and candy red. Quite a nice gift for stocking filler or secret santa. They are very moisturising. The creamy caramel is a pale pink quite like my lip colour and tastes very faintly of caramel. When I applied it I found that it looked very natural and there was no bleeding such as I often get with lipstick. wore it for a very strenuous personal training session at the gym which included sweating profusely and drinking water often. It reminded in place and left no residue on my drinking spout. I did not like the red candy one as it ending up giving a blueish tint to my lips and did not seen an attractive colour. Each to their own but I do wonder if it is a mistake to pack two such opposing colours together as you end up paying for two but only using one. Colour the side it is a nice lip balm and great for me as I do not like to use makeup to the gym. This is ideal

The baby lip stick is encased in a light weight plastic cover and twists up like a conventional lip stick, has a similar amount of product. The lip stick is soft, moisturising, feels nice on and doesn't really have a taste. The colour is 'solid' pink - not with shimmer or glitter. But it does come off quite easily, some thing to wear when you wont be eating or drinking a lot.List of ingredients is on a peel off label in the tinest writing and include: hexyl cinnamal, linalool, tin oxide, benzyl benzoate, citric acid, octyl dodecanol, shea butter, polyacryladipate, calcium aluminum borosilicate, limolene, alumium hydroxide, alcohol, tocopherol acetate, various colored lakes depending upon the shade and much more.States on the side for adults only. Not sure why would be useful for school productions where a little bit of colour is required and its not the end of the world if the lip stick gets left in the dressing room.

The gift box I received contains two lip crayons - one Creamy Caramel and one Candy Red. Creamy Caramel is a pale, peachy colour and Candy Red is just that - bright red. Both smell lovely - the caramel smells like vanilla and the red smells fruity, a bit like strawberry. Both have a beautiful texture on the lips - very moisturising, like a coloured lip balm, and they make your lips feel softer and more nourished. The lid is very easy to take off and the top of the crayon is rounded to make it easy to use. The lip clicks on securely and I have had no issues with carrying mine in my backpack. The moisturising effect lasts pretty much as long as any lip balm I have used so I top it up whenever I need - ususally every few hours. This is a lovely and very reasonably priced beauty item that is suitable for all ages and would make a great small gift.

The packaging for this, whilst nice enough, has a very child/teen quality, and it's a shame, because there's a lot in these two lip balms to appeal to the more mature amongst us.The quality of the balm is excellent, moisturising well without being greasy and gummy. No hair strands stuck to my lips when wearing the balm - the acid test of balms and glosses! Each balm is flavoured, although not in an overpowering way - the red is a berryish sort of flavour, and the nude/caramel a vanilla one.The pigmentation is heavier than I expected, and does last well - certainly through lunch and a couple of cups of tea for both varieties. I think they are ideal when you don't want to look "made up" but you want a little colour on your face. Now,if Maybelline could just do something about the packaging...

Proper postbox red lip crayon. This is a great true red colour with a thick nib just like a child's chunky crayon. It twists up through the appliactor and lasts forever. Iam a big fan of lip crayons as they have a texture and feel like lip balm and not lipsticks, whose texture I have always disliked. This colour lasts well despite being a crayon and not a lipstick and is easy to reapply. It is a bit more subtle than lipstick and so is great for us oldies and also for younger people. It can also be layered with other products e.g. - with lip liner, lip fixer or on top of a base coat of lipstick or used as a base coat with a lip wand colour on top. I have also applied it using a lipbrush to get a deeper, longer lasting coverage in the evening. Good stuff - fantastic price.

Maybelline have a great reputation for leading the way in fun and practical products. Slightly bigger than a regular lipstick this will fit easily into a purse or pocket and the tight fitting cap means it won't come off until you want it to.The moisturisers used can really be detected as soon as you smooth the colour on, it's like a lip butter that softens the lips while looking great.I would say this colour is targeted at teens or twenties, bright and punchy with loads of impact. It has no added shimmer so gloss could be added for a night out.The tube twists at the bottom and there is plenty of balm to last a good few months. I can see this being a big seller in the near future,I certainly recommend it.
