Max Factor "Rise & Shine" False Lash Effect Mascara in BROWN/BLACKMax Factor is one of the oldest brand names in cosmetics and in my opinion a trusted brand. I am delighted to test this new Mascara.• The product is nicely presented in a really chunky case which is easy to grip, especially for those who have problems with their hands.• Unscrew the cap and the chunky theme continues with the brush of the wand. The design of the brush end is more bulbous at the lowest end, then goes up to a 'waist' in the centre part and finishing with a smaller bulbous end.• My experience of this style of applicator is very good. It was easy to coat my lashes and much more successful than with the straighter style wands.• The Mascara covered well and with just one application.

I've used dozens of brands of mascara over the years and mostly stick to a couple of favourites but always like to try a new one on the market. My lashes are black and I have very dark brown eyes but I prefer a brown/black mascara over a black one as it gives my face a more natural and softened look – I'm not a teenager anymore.This one has an almost figure-of-eight or hourglass shaped brush, whereas I would normally prefer a straight or tapered one, but I'm happy to try any new ideas. The bottle contains 12ml of mascara which is quite good for the price. The mascara applied nicely – I did the “wiggle it through the lashes” as suggested and I am really pleased with the volume it gives,

I thought I’d give this a mascara a try whilst I had the opportunity. I’m not particularly loyal to one brand but do tend to spend over the odds when it comes to mascara. To be honest I wasn’t expecting too much from this mascara, being more of a budget mascara but I’ve been pleasantly surprised! The mascara has a nice chunky handle for precise application and the brush seems to reach each and every eyelash. I wouldn’t particularly say it gives you a “false lash” effect but I don’t think there’s a mascara on earth that does. However it does provide a lovely thick coat which gives decent volume and length. It’s not waterproof but I have been rained on heavily and it hasn’t budged.

A marvellous mascara that I’m loving just now also no under eye smudges. So for the price a really good makeup bag item for me. The brush is easy to use and the colour is a proper black not wishy washy but a true darkest one. With the weather being humid some mascara can give you that panda look later in the day if applied in the morning this one not a panda in sight. Removal a doddle I just use baby oil and away it comes. What’s better though it also contains ingredients in it to help soothe your lashes too and for me a big thing is sensitivity and this makes me have just a full wide eyed effect and no itchy, scratchy or red irritation.Also loving the fact that I get no flakes or clumping from it either from applying it or later on in the day.

I was sent this Max Factor Rise and shine mascara in black to review. Comes in an attractive bronze/brown packaging. Has a fairly nice wand that had fat ends and slim middle section which is made of bristles not the horrible plastic wands you get in some mascaras, the fat ends nicely caught the outer and innermost lashes that can sometimes be a struggle to get without stabbing yourself in the eye. Applied easily, definitely lifted lashes for a nice curl. Nice amount of volume without being clumpy. Removed easily with make up wipes. I’d say this is good for a day look make up or if you don’t like the clumpy over the top look that some mascaras can give you.

The Max Factor Rise & Shine mascara has a peanut shaped wand. On first use I wasn’t that impressed as there was a bit too much product on the wand which made my lashes quite thick but the more the product spread, the better the result. My lashes lengthend, thickened and separated nicely but as I naturally have quite straight lashes, didn’t find they had that much lift apart from at the outer lashes where I used the tip of the wand. Even though it looks thick, it doesn’t feel heavy and I can easily touch my lashes once dry without them feeling like they’ll snap off. It does come off very easily though where I’d probably go for the waterproof option.

Mascara should be easy to apply and stay put without covering your face every time you blink. Max Factor have produced a high quality mascara in their 'Rise & Shine False Lash Effect' range. The Brown Black colour has a classic feel to it and easily passes for black. It is a nice day to day colour.The divisive element will be the chunky brush. It is large and curved, kind of like half a donut. For someone with naturally longer lashes it works very well as you can apply a lot in a short amount of time. People with a little less to work with may find applying the mascara trickier than they are used to.

This is a great mascara for everyday use. The first thing I noticed was the lovely fresh smell, not like the usual chemical aroma that you get from most mascaras. It's very easy to apply and gives a good amount of volume from the first stroke. The shape of the brush gives fantastic coverage from the root to the tip and it does not clump. With added proteins and Vitamin E my lashes feel in tip top condition. Getting the brush into the corner of my eyes was a little challenging but manageable. My overall opinion is this is a good lightweight mascara for daytime wear and it's a quality product. My only negative would be the packaging which I find to be a little bland.

I am so impressed with this mascara. Wore it 9am this morning and now it is 9pm and my lashes are still volumized, lifted and defined. The outer pack is simple but stylish and the wand is a great shape, great to get into every lash and lift it. One coat is all you need for that fake lash effect and no signs of clumping! It dries really fast and no panda eyes, very easy to take off too. The mascara is enriched with proteins and Vitamin E so your lashes are being cared for everytime you apply. I must admit it is such a lovely smelling mascara that gives my lashes a boost from the root and makes my small eyes pop out. The best mascara I have used til date.

I love this product! I always wear black mascara and the colour of this one is really dark and intense. Not going to lie I don't know what difference the shape of the applicator makes but I have always preferred bristled brushes and this one works great. It applies the mascara smoothly and it doesn't clump. It is totally buildable, I apply 3 coats and my lashes look longer and much fuller.It lasts all day and doesn't flake at all. I use micellar water to remove it and it comes off without the need to rub too hard.An added bonus, this mascara smells really nice!A great product, I would definitely recommend it. I find it really difficult to find a mascara that does not clump when I apply more than one layer . When I first tried this mascara , the first thing that popped out at me was the fragrance! I have never smelt such a lovely fragranced mascara . The applicator allowed me to layer the mascara without clumping and allowed me to apply slightly more on the root area than the edges . Depending on the effect that you want , I wouldn't apply more than two layers and as it has vitamin E and protein , your lashes look and feel more looked after ! I like this a lot. Firstly the mascara comes in a very chunky tube and I had the brown/black which I prefer as it's less harsh than the black. The applicator has proper bristles as opposed to rubbery-plastic spikes. There are long and short bristles in a curvy shape, designed to cover every lash. I always use an eyelash curler as I have very straight lashes anyway, so after doing this I wiggled the brush to cover each lash and the volume is good and not watery. There is some lift which I like or the lashes scuff my glasses! I really like it and would buy it again. Comes off easily with make-up remover. Price is OK for a good quality mascara.

I really like this mascara for day time use. It’s not too heavy so gives a very natural look and it doesn’t feel heavy on the lashes. I like the way it separates individual lashes so they look naturally fuller and gives great definition to my eyes. The mascara brush is curved so that makes it super easy to apply and also to apply quickly! The only downside to this mascara is that for a more dramatic look, I’ve had to apply a few layers and I didn’t like how heavy it made my eyes feel although they did look great! A review for Max Factor Rise & Shine False Lash Effect Mascara, Volume & Lift, Black 12ml.The product was used and tested by my wife whose comments and feedback were used as the basis for this review.This is slightly more expensive compared to the mascara I use on a regular basis. The quality and finished look you get is more than worth it from quality cosmetics manufacturer more than makes up for the apparent higher selling price, and this is a slightly larger tube so you get slightly more. The application is easy with it's contoured applicator brush. Overall a quality Max Factor which gives good long lasting results.

My wife was hoping to review the Brown/black version of this masacara, but we were sent the Black which for her is a bit too dark - fine if you want a more dramatic looks. The things she likes about it are the brush shape - like an hourglass which makes it easier to "wiggle" your way along the lashes and get good coverage without much clumping. She found it tearproof but not waterproof, and therefore easy to remove with micellar water.The things she was not so keen on were the chunkiness of the container which takes up more space in a small make up bag,and the smudges that occurred when she used it on lower lashes.
