I'm really surprised by the negative reviews - this really is the best mascara I have ever used (see updated note at the end), by quite a large margin - and I've tested quite a few! Perhaps it depends on initial lash thickness or style of application, but I've found that most waterproof mascaras are horrible and clumpy. This one applies very smoothly, and you can achieve a really natural effect. If you want a more dramatic effect, you can apply several coats to build up the length and thickness. Whereas most other mascaras I find start clumping after just one or two swipes with the brush, this one I typically apply 4-5 swipes and still no clumps at all. It is almost (but not quite)

I have been using waterproof masacara for over 20 years and always used max factor aqualash but for some unknowm reason they seemed to have discontinued it and brought out the false lash mascara as a substitute. It is not as good as the aqualash but is almost as good and it does stay on all day. On the down side the wand is incredibly thick and awkward to use, though I am getting used to it now. Saying that I will stick with it as it doesn't irritate my eyes like other brands. In answer to other ladies to who had problems getting waterproof mascara off I have always used clear baby oil to remove it and it comes off no problem and if you leave it on slightly it softens and moisturises the skin

I have been using this mascara for years and I have never been dissatisfied with it, you need to make sure that you have waterproof makeup remover otherwise this will be incredibly hard to get rid of. I have never found this mascara to be clumpy or dry and it stays on your lashes all day, the only time I find that it comes off is when my eyes are wet and Ive rubbed them, then tiny dry flecks of it may go down your cheek slightly, but that's more from the rubbing than the water.When I buy it, it usually lasts me a long time and looks great with eyeliner pen, it can give a really bold look to your eyes! I have tried other Max Factor mascaras none waterproof ones before and all they did was pull my lashes right down. So I wasn't sure what this one was going to do to my lashes. After curling my lashes I applied it and kept checking to see if my lashes were being pulled down. To my surprise they stayed curled. I don't have long lashes and this mascara made them look a bit longer which I really like. I do like to explore different brands of mascara and I have noticed that waterproof ones tend to hold the curl better for me. I may find the odd waterproof one which doesn't do what it says on the tin. I shall be ordering another one when the time comes.

This is my new favourite mascara. I saw reviews saying it was fake but I don't know what they were on about I'm sure. I'm 49 and have been using mascara for years. This is the real macoy. It's not sealed but many aren't in the shops. When I pulled the wand out I could tell it was the first time. The applicator is lovely. These type of applicator are designed to not leave clumps and separate lashes. It lasts well. I went to bed with it still on and it was the same in the morning. It came off well with makeup remover.

This mascara was ordered last minute for a funeral, I didn’t want to be trying to scrape black mascara off my cheeks the whole day, so ordered this and apart from crying my eyes out all day it also chucked it down with rain at a graveside funeral and the mascara stayed on! Couldn’t quite believe it tbh, made my lashes look thick and full, only issue was it took forever to remove, you need a decent oil based eye make up remover solution to take it off as it stays that well it doesn’t actually want to ever come off. ?

Just the way I like it. Many mascaras claim to be waterproof/smudge-proof but most end up on my lower lid with panda effect. Guess I have oily lids/skin so my mascara has to be truly waterproof & black black for full effect as my skin tone isn't the fairest of them all. Very happy with this product. Lasts all day, keeps the curl up, no smudge, no panda effect. Just need to make sure to clean it off with a good eye makeup remover.

This is an excellent mascara that I have been buying for some time! It does what is says! The waterproof one is truly"Waterproof" unlike other products I've bought that are not! Anyone wanting a good mascara that does what is says on the tube, should buy this item, from this seller! I couldn't believe how cheap they were? Thank you! Regards, Karin.

Love it! I think saying its waterproof is exaggerating abit - it is certainly tear proof though !The fulse lash look also is a bit of an exaggeration - however this mascara makes my eyelashes biggerMy final point I wasn't very impressed with this . Once I had pulled out the brush I got a trail of mascara all over me from the bottom of the brush

it's been years since I used Max Factor make-up and I really dont know why. Although the application brush looks a bit awkward its actually really easy to use. It goes on clump free, doesnt smudge by the end of the day and really does make your lashes look amazing. The only down side to this is make sure you buy a good eye make-up remover.

I have tried so many waterproof mascaras, always looking for something that stays on all day. This one actually does, without irritation and even when my eyes water (they do a lot) it stays put. Not only that but it does make my lashes look longer so gives a false lash effect that it claims to. Great ?

I bought on line, normally I would buy when I went shopping in the chemist but was unable to get out at that time. I always use Max Factor products as I have sensitive skin. I like the product very much and will continue to buy it in the future, It arrived promptly, very happy.

I have used this product since it came out and have found that it is the only one that is truly waterproof. Excellent product which I wouldnt hesitate to recommend. It isnt as easy to remove with makeup remover but if you use baby oil it comes off easily when you want it to.

I use this mascara everydy,its thick just what i wanted,and easy to puy on.It hasnt run yet,and stays on all day,without any coming off,HA-HA.Anyone who wants a stress free mascara that make your lashes thick,and has staying power should buy this one.Regards Lorraine
