This is a really unique product from Max Factor but it falls short so I'm only giving it 4 stars. Max Factor is one of my favourite make up brands so I had really high hopes for it and thus was a little disappointed. The packaging is very unusual. At first I couldn't work out how to open the pot. I opened it with the sponge at the bottom which is a hinged flip lid and then tried to flip the lid of the foundation side until I realised that the foundation lid is a screw top which is actually the bottom! So the sponge sits at the top.. are you following me? Haha. It's a great idea and means you won't get any wastage of product as you can reach all of it unlike pump bottles or dispenser bottles where you can never get to the bottom.I think there might be less product in the pot as well although you use less when applying with a sponge. I'm not a huge fan of using a sponge to apply foundation - I much prefer to use my fingers for a good even coverage plus it's more hygienic. I used the sponge this time for purposes of testing it but in future I will be using my fingers to apply. Please note there is no mirror in the tub so if you use this for hand bag touches up you will need a separate mirror. The size of it does make it useful for travelling with. Also note it contains Hylauronic Acid which it seems is all the rage with make up and skincare products at the moment. Apparently it keeps the skin hydrated. The foundation is a clever cream to powder formula that glides on nicely and feels good on the skin. However the colour I chose Creamy Ivory was too light I think as it didn't give me full coverage compared to my normal foundation (bottle). I've attached 3 pictures showing me without make up (just primer applied), with just the foundation (applied with the accompanying sponge) and then with full make up including my own concealer and finishing powder). As you can see the foundation alone provided some good coverage of my acne scars and redness but not as good as my normal brand. I had to use a lot of concealer to get the flawless look I desired. And therefore whilst I like the foundation and I like the pot I won't be reaching for this as my first choice in the future.

This is absolutely lovely and completely different any solid Foundation I have ever used before. This foundation comes in a solid form. Inside the container is a little sponge that you use for application. For best use, slightly wet the sponge and this will make it apply much easier and more smoothly. In the container this looks really dark but once applied it completely changes and was perfect for my skin. As you are putting this on the solid foundation turns almost to a serum like consistency. It's whisper light, so I thought that it wouldn't give much coverage, but in actual fact it's amazing! Even though this is super light and it feels as though its barely there,it gives incredible coverage and evens out skin tone giving a flawless appearance. It lasted quite a long time too without needing touch up for several hours.I did find that it wasn't that good around my eye area as it tended to accentuate any lines or wrinkles in this area and made me look tired, but according to a recent beauty consultant I spoke to recently only concealer should be used in that area anyway. This comes in a handy compact container with a little sponge stored underneath.I do think it would be better if you used a foundation brush instead of the sponge as you will waste less product.Overall I was really impressed with the performance of this foundation. I think it's really good value and I would definitely look to buy this again.

The product goes on smooth, but it has this smell to it at first. I applied using the sponge applicator it comes with, and it gave decent coverage. It was easy to build coverage, too. However, for the best application I did end up using a makeup brush to smooth it all out. Normally I like to use my foundation as a quick primer for eyeshadow, but this one didn't quite work for that. Throughout the day nothing settled in my laugh lines, which I only just started to notice I had thanks to my old foundation! I don't mind having some wrinkles as I age, but I do mind when my makeup decides that is the only place to be. I liked the coverage each layer gave me.1 layer evened out my tone and blemishes moderately and brightened up my face some. 2nd layer fixed up some under eye darkness and evened out a few red patches I had from getting over a fever. I did a 3rd layer under my eyes, which brought an extra brightness to them which was nice after being sick! The description says you don't need to set with powder, but I couldn't get it to stay on my nose any length of time without using a powder to set. My nose does get oily.

The product itself is nice. I use a primer to reduce the appearance of pores first, and this glides nicely over the top and blends in well. Coverage is medium. I prefer a sheer look, so I remove any excess with a tissue, which still leaves enough for reasonable coverage. I have tried this same product in the past, and it settled horribly into fine lines and pores back then (somehow even with primer)- so I was interested to see how this new formulation would work. They seem to have solved the problem. The packaging is not intuitive - I was expecting both the sponge compartment and makeup compartment to be flip-top, but the sponge is kept in a flip top compartment while you have to unscrew the lid to get at the makeup. The screw top is on so tight that I spent some considerable time trying to work out alternatives of how it might open before finally giving it to my husband (who also took a few minutes going through all the flip-top permutations before finally forcing the screw top open). I think the previous version had nested flip-tops (or maybe it was just easier to unscrew).

Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation, New and Improved Formula, SPF 30 and Hyaluronic Acid, 40 Creamy Ivory is a good product and one I would happily recommend. For me, it was perfect for providing touch ups when I was out and about as with the very handy jar there was no fear of it spilling into my handbag. There is a small sponge fitted into the lid, for me personally I found the sponge a bit small, therefore I used a foundation brush and blended in using the brush. It was great as a concealer and it blended perfectly.I liked the fact it had hyaluronic acid which is great for preventing my skin from drying out.It also did not need an extra loose powder as it has a light powdery finish which needed to be blended well and needed particular care when applying around wrinkles and fine lines.Happy to recommend.

I was at first bemused by the packaging.... I quickly located the sponge applicator which is stored underneath in a flip-top compartment. It then took quite a time to unscrew the top - not a very user friendly design. The actual foundation is very pleasant to use. I normally choose a liquid foundation and Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation is more like a compressed powder. I used it over my normal moisturiser and it smooths on very easily and gives a good result with light coverage. The colour is Natural 070 which about in the middle of the range of shades offered and would suit many complexions. It is also good for "touching up" your make up during the day.I am continuing to use it but do not think I would choose it in the future rather than my usual liquid foundation.

The Max Factor Miracle Touch Foundation is easy to apply and blends into the skin easily. It comes with a sponge that you use to apply the foundation, but I still prefer liquid foundation as I find it is easier to cover the whole face. It has good coverage but I would say it is a light foundation rather than heavy and my liquid foundation works better on blemishes and spots. It is long lasting, I can wear it for the whole day at work and coverage is still quite good (not perfect) at home time. It is also easy to remove which is good. It is small and compact, easy to put in your handbag and you don't have to worry about it leaking or spilling like a liquid foundation.I have sensitive skin but have no problem using this and have had no adverse reactions.

I have been a fan of maybelline dream Matt mousse for a long time but found it wasn't very good at covering my skin and would end up using huge amounts and it wouldn't last long on my face. A very good friend of mine has been a huge max factor fan for years and in particular this foundation. She recommended this to me. I was worried at first as I have very pale skin and many brands still make me look like I have been tango'ed (orange). I was worried for no reason at all! This foundation is unbelievable. Didn't need to use much at all and it made me skin look amazing. Very good coverage and feels lovely on the skin. I use the 40 creamy ivory and it's just right. I am now a huge max factor fan.I can't recommend this foundation enough!

I came across this originally because my more expensive brand discontinued their foundation in compact form. I decided that it might be a mistake but a cheap one when I originally bought this for £7.50 in Tesco...but at least it would only be a cheap mistake. It turned out it wasn't (a mistake). This is everything you could need from a compact foundation minus expensive packaging. It goes on smoothly, does not irritate, is easy to colour match and manages to have all the benefits of foundation without the weight and cakiness. I'm a make-up snob and this is one fantastic product. If you're over 40 I particularly recommend it for not embedding itself in all the cracks...if you're under40...well...lucky you!

I've been using Magic Touch on and off for years and keep returning to it when I need a foundation that will last well during the day or for an evening event when I want more coverage than a mineral powder of BB cream. It slides on very easily (I use a wet sponge) and also washes off well (with Micellar cleanser). I love how it has a serious SPF in it of 30 rather than the usual 8-15 range. I was a bit concerned that Hyaluronic acid has been added to this new improved version as products with it in sometimes irritate my skin but this was fine.I also thought the shade would now be too dark for me in the winter but it blended well and looks fine although I might go down a shade for my nextpurchase.

This is one of my favourite foundations of all time. The product is so smooth and creamy, and the colour matches me perfectly. The foundation doesn't need priming, I do however, use a setting powder because I prefer a matte finish, but it could easily be worn without. The product lasts all day, it doesn't cake or clog pores! There isn't very much product in there, but don't let that put you off, with this product a little goes a really long way. There is also a sponge in the lid, which is great for blending (it's a good quality sponge), but I also apply this as a concealer as well, using my concealer brush and then blending with my finger.SUCH A GREAT PRODUCT! I reccomend!

I am very pleased with this! I thought it might be way too dark and/or yellow for me as I am a cool toned mid beige skin tone, but no, it was lovely. It has a very soft, cute, dense sponge housed in the base of the packaging. You get to that by a hinged opening. The foundation itself is by way of a twist off lid. I used my fingers to apply it. A small amount at a time. It goes on really smoothly and covers very well. It concealed some redness well. It stayed matte on me and looks very natural. I have loved various products from Max Factor over the years and this is a very good one. I am going to use it over their incredible Primer which is the HG of primers. Recommended.

Interesting packaging of this product! Not easily apparent how to get into at first glance but there's a lid underneath where the small sponge sits and then the top part of it screws off to reveal the actual product. Quite nifty once you've got the hang of it and I like the fact that there's somewhere separate to store the sponge applicator.A solid foundation that turns softer, into an almost liquid and very easy to apply to face, giving a good, even coverage.Shade no. 40 is a 'Creamy Ivory' and whilst it's really nice, it is a little on the light side.Stayed put for most of the day and no powder was needed at all, I did use a little powder blusher over the top.

Really enjoying using this foundation. Have a new baby so wanted something quick and convenient to use to give a little cover. I usually come back to MaxFactor when I don’t want to spend the money on more high-end brands. I feel this is comparable to more expensive light-medium cover foundations (e.g.NArs, Bobbi Brown). I have also built it up to give more coverage on the occasions I have a bit more time. It blends well and the colour (natural) is consistent with other products. I don’t know about the reviews saying this is a fake etc. I always use Prime rather than any 3rd party sellers and have never had any problems.

My wife bought this make up and this is what she had to say about it.......... "I used to use virgin vie one step face base and was very worried about what I would use when the company went bust. I did go back to liquid foundation for a little while, but wasn't completely satisfied. I did some searching and came across this max factor item on here.I actually think it's BETTER than the Vie one. I feel it gives a more even finish and seems to last longer.I highly recommend this product and if anyone was a vie osfb fan then you'll be more than happy to use this as a replacement."
