This is a subjective review because I've used these strings for at least twenty years ... I play a Blueridge BR40 with the action jacked up for playing acoustic slide.These strings do the guitar a real favour and highlight the deep bass and the resonant highs when I'm tuned to open G or D.They are the right tension for me too ... although they seem to be a heavy guage you soon get used to them and a bendable G string is possible. They are excellent for Bluegrass and several friends of mine use little else.Having used them many times for busking outdoors they stay in tune well and oxidise very little.Great strings but may not suit everybody, I would suggest giving them a go !

They make the right sort of noise and not so loud as to upset the neighbours. I like the look and feel of the strings and they are not continually snapping as some of the other brands do.
