This review may not be the most descriptive as it was bought as a wedding gift. When purchasing this item select despatch in amazon packaging as this will protect the presentation box from damage in transit.The recipricant was very happy with this gift as it is at the top end of most brandy drinkers wish list. The bottle is a little more ornate than some other bottles so has a bit more of a wow factor. It was a toss up between Hennessey XO and this one.

Wow! This is simply the best cognac we have ever tasted.It was cracked open in celebration of a successful escape from the clutches of a Cult of Cthulhu (Oxford Chapter). We relived stories of our torment over the previous 18 months, and regaled our friends of the epic escape.Maybe another one for after the 29th March, when the downward commercial pressures finally crushes the cult nto the the way of Carillon? Maybe, Captain Ahab, just maybe.

A smooth, complex, truly delicious mouthful. I have been drinking cognac for many years, have enjoyed many different variations, but, Remy Martin XO is by a shade, the finest so far. I'm not going to drone on about the 'nose' or the ' length ' or the 'finish', it is Delicious. With a capital D. Get a good crystal goblet, bring it to blood temperature with the heat from your palm, and revel in your own pleasure. Hedonism. Damn right!!!

When I asked my uncle what he would like and he said Brandy from Remy Martin; rather embarrassingly I could not find what he was looking for; all I kept seeing was Cognac, a quick call soon got this sorted.As you probably can guess I don't drink myself but my uncle who I bought this for said this is his new favourite brandy; he took it with him on a trip to Africa and it is warmly received.I would recommend this product.

Bought this on offer for £110 directly from Amazon which is a bargain as shops normally sell for £150-180. Make sure you tick the option for them to package in an Amazon box - the box for the bottle itself was still slightly damaged on arrived, crumpled towards one of the corners but acceptable.Great gift for a 60th Birthday. The bottle design is iconic and makes an excellent addition to a bar or alcohol collection!

I got this for Valentines day and it is superb. Sadly you get what you pay for with Cognac - but this delivers a wonderful drink and value for this price (£114).The best cognac i have tried and will definitely be buying a second.One tip though, pour into a large brandy glass and give it a good 25 minutes to warm up a bit in your hand - it smooths it out

Whilst Remy Martin is undoubtedly a major name in the brandy world, and benefits from excellent marketing and gorgeous bottles, there are many cognacs and definitely Armagnacs available which equal or surpass this.Makes a very appreciated gift but personally I prefer artisan small batch Armagnac to giant house Cognac.

I love this ive ordered a couple over the years, I save up and treat myself, if you love brandy and champagne then this is for you, its smooth its one of my favourite drinks, the bottle is beautiful and comes in the box, if you want to treat your self this is going to be the one thing you should buy

Been drinking cognac for a long time now mainly Remy but sometimes Henny, Remy for me shades it and have to say this one is the best hands down, drink this one as a treat and the v.s.o.p on a regular, but buy this you will not be disappointed,exceptional taste!

Does not disappoint. But for me Maxime Trijol XO is a little better with fuller more rounded flavour and nose and less harshness.Gorgeous bottle and in all honesty no one would regret buying or receiving this.

This was my indulgent treat from my Birthday money.....and so glad I purchased this! I've ummed and aahed about purchasing before whilst in Tenerife but never purchased it there but glad I have tried it now!

Had this bought as a present for Christmas and since had it bought for two Birthdays and another Christmas. What can I say but a superb cognac that is enjoyed when wanting something a little more special.

This was bought as a present for a relative and was delivered in good time. As you would expect the relative was over the moon with the quality of the contents. I would use this supplier again

Once you start the bottle it is very difficult to stop till it all gone and I am not a heavy drinker at all. Usually this sort of quantity I consume within half a year (!) but not this one:)

Not bad, but not as good as expected. Bought under the Amazon Prime special deals for about £80 so at that price worth it. Not as smooth as the Hennessy XO, or better Janneau Armagnacs.
